Caesarea | on site | full timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Metering Division, providing first-class technical support to customers and internal teams worldwide. The role involves troubleshooting, configuration, and commissioning of Elspec’s advanced power quality analyzers (G4k, G5, PureBB) and the PQSCADA Sapphire software platform. The engineer will work closely with R&D, QA, and product teams to identify and resolve technical issues, improve user experience, and support product deployment both remotely and on-site.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to customers, distributors, and field engineers via email, phone, and remote sessions.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to Elspec’s meters and PQSCADA Sapphire.Perform remote configuration, firmware upgrades, and data analysis for installed systems.Document customer issues, resolutions, and recurring problems in the ticketing system.Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to reproduce and escalate complex issues.Assist in testing and validating new software versions, firmware updates, and hardware revisions.Deliver technical training sessions and create knowledge base articles and support documentation.Support installation and commissioning of systems at customer sites when required.Provide feedback to product management regarding recurring technical issues and customer needs.Education and Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support, field service, or application engineering role.Experience in power quality, electrical measurements, or industrial automation – an advantage.Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, or IEC 61850 – an advantage.Experience with Windows-based systems, SQL databases, and network configuration (IP, VPN, remote access).Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.Customer-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.Technical proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, or other test and measurement tools.Knowledge of SCADA systems, data acquisition software, or industrial control systems – a plus.Ability to read electrical schematics and system diagrams.Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and within a team.Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support and training. Work with customers from all over the world, therefore, there must be a willingness to work evening hours when necessary.Work from the company’s offices in Caesarea .
