Technical Support Engineer – Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our after-sales team, focusing on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys working on-site with customers, solving complex problems and ensuring the highest levels of system reliability and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesAfter-Sales Service & SupportProvide on-site and remote technical support for utility-scale BESS installations.Perform system commissioning, functional and acceptance testing with customers.Diagnose and resolve technical issues within battery containers, power conversion systems and related components.Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.Customer EngagementAct as the primary technical contact for customers after project handover.Provide training and guidance to customers’ operations teams.Ensure timely, professional communication and customer satisfaction during service interactions.Documentation & ReportingPrepare detailed service reports, including fault analysis, troubleshooting steps and repair recommendations.Provide feedback to the engineering and R&D teams regarding recurring issues and potential product improvements.Support warranty management and escalation processes.  CollaborationWork closely with project delivery, engineering and sales teams to ensure smooth handover from project completion to service phase.Coordinate with suppliers and partners for replacement parts and technical solutions. RequirementsTechnical Skills & Experience3+ years of experience in after-sales service, field engineering or systems commissioning - preferably energy storage, renewable energy or power electronics.Practical knowledge of electrical systems (low/medium voltage), BESS technology, power conversion systems (PCS) and energy management systems (EMS).Hands-on experience in troubleshooting of battery systems and SCADA/EMS systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals and engineering documentation.Education & CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation or a related technical field.Fluent English and communicative Polish (other European languages are advantage).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.High level of professionalism in customer interactions.Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and occasionally intercontinentally.Drivers license cat. B.Polish electrical license: E1 (1kV and above).
