LUXUAV is an innovative technology company headquartered in Luxembourg. We specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our modular systems are tested in real-world conditions and specifically tailored for both commercial and security applications.Job Title: Technical WriterReports to: CTOOnsite postion - Open to full-time or part-time working arrangementsThe Technical Writer is responsible for producing clear, structured, and compliant technical documentation. The role focuses on writing, maintaining, and improving procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation used by engineers, technicians, and manufacturing staff.This role does not require an engineering degree. However, hands-on technical or technician experience is essential in order to understand technical language, processes, and constraints within a UAV R&D and manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical DocumentationDraft, structure, and maintain technical procedures, work instructions, and SOPsTranslate technical input into clear, usable documentationEnsure documentation is written in clear, consistent, and accessible technical EnglishApply document control standards (versioning, traceability, approvals)Collaboration & Information GatheringWork closely with engineers, technicians, production staff and test teams to understand processes and workflowsObserve activities to accurately document proceduresClarify ambiguous or undocumented steps with subject-matter expertsQuality & Compliance SupportAlign documentation with internal quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g. aviation, manufacturing, safety)Support audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives through updated documentationEnsure procedures are practical, usable, and reflect real working practicesContinuous ImprovementIdentify gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies in existing proceduresPropose improvements to documentation structure, templates, and claritySupport standardisation across documentationRequired Qualifications & ExperienceTechnical or vocational background (technician, technical training, or equivalent practical experience)Proven experience writing or maintaining technical documentation, procedures, or work instructionsAbility to understand scientific and technical terminologyStrong attention to detail and structured way of workingExcellent technical writing and structuring skillsAbility to simplify complex technical information without losing accuracyStrong organisational and documentation disciplinePractical, methodical, and process-oriented mindsetComfortable working in hands-on R&D and Production environmentsAbility to challenge unclear or impractical processes constructivelyAdvanced English level (atleast C1 written and spoken levels)Preferred Qualifications & ExperienceExperience in R&D, manufacturing, aerospace, UAV, automotive, or industrial environmentsFamiliarity with quality systems (ISO, internal SOP frameworks, document control)Experience working with cross-functional technical teamsExperience writing or editing scientific papers is a plusAdditional European languages are an asset
