Technology Investment Analyst

Location: RemoteEmployment Type: Full-TimeOur client, a leading private investment firm based in Australia is seeking a Technology Investment Analyst with direct experience and training from an established investment firm. This is a full-time role focused on the new frontiers of growth investing, particularly at the early stages (Seed and Series A) and in emerging asset classes such as cryptocurrency and blockchain.The successful candidate will initially focus on research and deal sourcing. As the portfolio develops, therole will expand into portfolio monitoring and management, providing direct exposure to founders andhigh-growth technology ventures.Key Responsibilities• Deal Sourcing and ResearchIdentify and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities across technology sectors, with emphasis on Seed, Series AConduct market and trend analysis to uncover emerging technologies, business models, and investment themes.• Investment AnalysisPerform financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment.Prepare investment communications and recommendations for the investment committee.• Due DiligenceSupport commercial, financial, and operational due diligence processes for prospective deals.• Founder and Ecosystem EngagementBuild relationships with founders, accelerators, and other venture ecosystem players to expand deal flow.• Portfolio SupportAs the portfolio grows, assist portfolio companies with strategy, fundraising, and marketexpansion.Qualifications• Mandatory Requirement: Prior training and experience in an established investment firm, fund, orfinancial institution (venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or similar).• 1–3 years of frontline investment exposure, including research, deal sourcing, or execution.• Strong foundation in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis.• Demonstrated interest in or exposure to emerging technologies, crypto, and blockchain ventures.• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to spot high-growth opportunities early.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage directly withfounders.• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or Information Technology/Engineering with strong finance orientation
