Headquartered in Pakistan, Texlynx currently holds a prominent position as one of the nation’s largest buying houses, with an annual sales volume exceeding $50 million.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for designing bedding products including but not limited to top of bed products for respective Texlynx Brands as assigned. This position is also responsible for learning technical and analytical skills that are necessary to develop product.Position Responsibilities- EssentialMaintain awareness of current trends (design industry and retail) in both home and fashion to ensure that all product development for Texlynx brands is on trend and saleableResponsible for creating textile designs, patterns, colorways, and packaging concepts based on USA Design team requirementsResponsible for preparing detailed design CADs, color separations/reductions, artwork files, and mock-ups as per US Design team requirementResponsible for developing comprehensive tech packs specifying dimensions, fabric construction, finishing details, color standards, and artwork placementsCollaborate with vendors to develop strike-offs and review them for accuracy and qualityReview DAS (Design Approval Sample) yardages to ensure consistency with approved designs and color standardsServe as the primary design liaison with USA teams to understand specifications, revisions, and aesthetic expectationsShare regular progress updates and resolve design-related queries promptly and professionallyResponsible for designing retail packaging including inserts, labels, clamshells and hangtags in alignment with brand guidelinesResponsible for ensuring all packaging meets branding requirements, compliance standards, and labelling regulations for US retailersResponsible for coordinating sampling, proofing, and approvals of packaging materials and artworkMaintain a professional, courteous, motivational and enthusiastic attitudeMaintain a clean and organized work environmentMaintain timely and consistent communicationPosition Responsibilities- Non-Essential/OtherOther duties may be assigned as business needs requireEssential Skills and ExperienceBA/BFA in Design/Textile Design or Design-related major (required - i.e. Textiles, Product Development, Home Fashions, or Apparel)5 to 7 years of Home Fashions experience with CAD and related home product development fieldsPossess strong working knowledge and proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programsDocumented experience in the Design field from both college and work experience, strong color-sense, knowledge of current trends and lifestyle brand aestheticsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and successfully prioritize workloadExcellent communication skills (written and oral) in order to effectively communicate and report information to all levels of the CompanyPossess strong organizational, technical and analytical skills as well as critical thinking skillsAbility to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervisionAbility to handle confidential informationExperience in product design and specification for manufactureAbility to understand significance of information and act accordingly to ensure proper outcome; whether to inform others or actAbility to work within a team on all projectsAbility to multi-task on a routine basis, be detail-oriented, adapt plans and change direction as needed and have a proactive mindsetVision abilities to include vision, peripheral vision and depth perceptionAbility to use your hands to handle or feel objectsAbility to speak and write the English languageBeneficial Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in product development and/or textiles is a plusProficient in PhotoshopSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneHow to ApplyInterested Candidates may send their CV and portfolio to [asad.ejaz@texlynx.com]What we OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA collaborative and innovative work environment
