Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Third-Party Risk Associate with 3+ years of relevant experience to join our Global TPRM assessment team in Mauritius. This role is focused on the timely execution of core assessment tasks, including data gathering, initial risk scoring, and tracking remediation efforts. The Associate will be essential in supporting the team's capacity to identify, document, and escalate risks across Checkout's vendor base.ResponsibilitiesCore Risk Assessment Execution: Execute and support the initial and ongoing risk assessment process for third-party vendors, primarily focusing on data validation, completeness checks, and accurate documentation within the TPRM system.Domain Knowledge Application: Apply a foundational understanding of control risks in key domains, including Information Security, Data Privacy, and Business Continuity Management (BCM), to review and triage vendor-provided documentation.Screening and Triage: Utilize specialized tools to perform routine sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media screening on vendors, escalating any potential matches immediately to a Senior Associate or Manager.Report Drafting Support: Support Senior Associates in reviewing documentation, extracting key control gaps, and drafting sections of the detailed assessment reports.Documentation and Escalation: Identify and accurately document control deficiencies and potential risks, ensuring timely escalation of emerging issues to Senior Associates or the Team Lead.Remediation Tracking: Monitor third-party remediation efforts and track the status of identified risks, following up proactively with suppliers and internal Business Owners to ensure closure deadlines are met.Tool Proficiency: Utilize and maintain proficiency with the TPRM assessment platforms, GRC tools, and sanctions screening tools, ensuring high data accuracy in the system.Team Collaboration: Actively collaborate with suppliers and internal Business Owners, ensuring clear communication of assessment findings and necessary actions.Regulatory Awareness: Stay current on relevant global regulations (EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, FCA, etc.) and industry best practices to support compliant assessments.Program Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the TPRM program by suggesting efficiencies in daily assessment workflows.QualificationsExperience: 3+ years of focused experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or other relevant fields, preferably within a regulated financial services environment.Foundational Reporting: Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise documents (e.g., initial findings summaries, status reports) or experience supporting the creation of formal risk assessment/audit reports.Tool Experience: Hands-on experience using GRC tools, third-party risk assessment platforms, or other similar compliance management software.Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of third-party risk management principles and frameworks.Core Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.Working Environment: Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
