Their work aims to create a supportive environment where families can build resilience and confidence in overcoming challenges.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Through Care Worker based in Limerick, Prison and the community . The Through Care Worker will provide support services for families affected by imprisonment, including one-on-one client engagement, family-focused interventions, and group facilitation. Responsibilities include case management, coordinating with relevant external agencies, and contributing to the development of tailored support plans. Additionally, the Through Care Worker will assist with monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on client progress to ensure the highest quality of care and support.QualificationsStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively engage with individuals, families, and community groupsExperience in case management, care planning, and working collaboratively with external organisationsCommunication skills, including active listening, reporting, and facilitating group discussionsKnowledge of social justice principles and experience working in family support or related fieldsAbility to maintain confidentiality, uphold professional boundaries, and work in a trauma-informed mannerProficiency in organisational skills, team work and working independently in a hybrid environmentRelevant qualifications in social work, community development, counseling, or a related discipline. Must be CORU registered Experience in supporting families affected by imprisonment or marginalized groups is an advantage
