Job SummaryThe Trade Finance Associate plays a key role in supporting the Bank's commercial lending operations by learning the end-to-end loan process, strengthening client relationships, and enhancing service quality.The Associate will work closely with loan officers, operations staff, and technology partners to support credit facility monitoring, documentation, client service coordination, and performance tracking related to loan and trade finance activities.Essential Job FunctionsLoan Operations SupportLearn the full life cycle of commercial loans-from packaging and documentation to loan closingSupport in gathering, reviewing, and organizing application documents, due diligence items, and compliance documentationAssist in coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure loans are processed and booked accuratelyClient CoordinationFollow up with clients to collect required documentation or clarify missing informationMaintain timely and professional communication with borrowers to ensure a smooth lending process.Customer Relationship ManagementContact existing clients to verify satisfaction with services and proactively resolve issuesMonitor credit facilities and account activity for red flags or unusual behaviorAlert appropriate departments of any service gaps, client concerns, or workflow issuesAI Marketing & Reporting SupportWork with internal data and marketing partners to monitor campaign effectivenessAssist in preparing reports that track lead generation, conversion metrics, and outreach activityService Quality & Team SupportContribute to the team's efforts to enhance client service responsivenessSupport the development of a more consistent, team-wide approach to client communications and service expectationsAssist in identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the loan process that affect turnaround time or customer satisfactionOther duties as assigned.Qualifications/RequirementsAssociate's degree or equivalent experience required.2-4 years of experience in mortgage, consumer/commercial lending, or financial servicesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills-comfortable working with both clients and internal teamsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and proactiveStrong computer and software skills (MS Office, CRM systems, loan origination tools)Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
