The Transaction Services Assistant will conduct day to day service and operational activities for GTS clients within policy guidelines/audit recommendations, protecting the Bank’s interests, to provide efficient and premium services. The role will also actively participate in the development of GTS relationships and sales and marketing of GTS products to potential and existing clients. The successful applicant will be expected to have a proactive approach and use a high degree of initiative, with professional presentation. They will also meet with clients, representing and promoting the Bank’s image positively, with a high degree of motivation.Responsibilities To enable the growth of our market share and maximise net profitability from business's customer portfolio. To deliver superior customer service by driving operational performance. Support any key organizational strategic initiatives to help in operationalising the product development and business improvements. Manage Business operations which has a significant scale of operational size along with complexity of transactions involved. Creating solutions to meet the needs of the customers. To be fully aware of the bottom line to ensure profitability of the business. Providing support and guidance to the Department/Region on areas of improvement/concern with regard to FCC, Regulatory and BQAP controls. Establish metrics and ensure effective tracking of HSBC’s competitor offerings and performance in comparison to HSBC. Ensure positive client experiences through support, trade advice and best practices in relation to GTS transactions. Ensure that GTS Services is responsive to the requirements and expectations of the Global Businesses. Requirements University degree and/or experience relevant to operations, customer service. Knowledge of Export Trade & Supply Chain. Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills (in English and local language) and the ability to negotiate and influence others. Ability to use strong judgement to identify and resolve problems whilst maintaining service performance. Demonstrated ability to multitask and work independently, as well as work collaboratively. Ability to manage crises; making good and timely decisions in tough situations. Desirable: knowledge of HSBC’s organization structure, business products/ solutions particularly GTS and eChannels, operations and systems/processes.
