Driver will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papersDeliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needsDocument delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to companyMaintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processesMaintain a safe driving record free of violationsFollow company policies and procedures (including safety initiatives and guidelines)Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mindMaintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are receivedPerform occasional warehouse and counter dutiesAdhere to the rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee HandbookOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualificationsMinimum 1-2 years’ work experienceStrong customer service and/or problem solving- skillsClean MVA recordValid driver’s license Physical DemandsAbility to lift up to 75lbs.Requires long periods of sittingFrequently ascends/descends from truck during deliveriesEquipment UsedSafely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as requiredWork EnvironmentTemperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatureAvailable BenefitsYou will be eligible to participate in the Company’s benefits program on first of the month after 45 days of employment.
