Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking a senior actuarial leader to serve as Appointed Actuary, overseeing statutory reporting, actuarial governance, and liability risk management. This role plays a key part in supporting the Board, regulators, and senior executives, while leading a growing actuarial team.Key Responsibilities Cover all Taiwan local reporting responsibilities, including monthly closing and recurring reports (AA, LAT, ICS, RBC, audit requirements, and ad-hoc requests). Prepare Board materials and present items requiring Appointed Actuary opinion. Maintain strong working relationships with IB, LIA, and TII for regulatory filings and disclosures. Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure full compliance. Support the company’s liability risk analysis and management, including ALM, ORSA, capital assessments, and related actuarial insights. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6–8 actuarial professionals, with potential expansion as IFRS17 processes stabilize.Qualifications Eligible to serve as Taiwan Appointed Actuary (e.g., Fellow recognized by the Actuarial Institute of the ROC). 10+ years of life insurance actuarial experience, including 5+ years in leadership or managerial roles. Strong knowledge of pricing, valuation, liability assessment, and risk management frameworks. Experience in IFRS17 transition, financial reporting systems, or large-scale regulatory projects is a plus. Strong analytical judgment, business acumen, and high ethical standards.
