Job Skills / RequirementsUnarmed Security Officers perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post.Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on-premises.Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Must be able to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract.Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents that may have occurred.Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.Performing CPR or first aid when needed.Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.Required QualificationsTwo (2) years of verifiable experience as an unarmed security officer, law enforcement, military, or correctionalMust have a current and valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card/Permitknowledgeable of the security industryMust have a customer service driven mindsetAbility to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers/clientsAs a condition of employment, candidate must pass a drug screeningAs a condition of employment, candidate must a background screeningCandidate must adhere to COVID-19 Vaccination mandatesBTI Security is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment.
