SAINT-Bangladesh is seeking a professional for the position of Union Facilitator-Education for the project titled "Integrated Child Development Project-Shishuder Jonno (ICDP)" funded by Save the Children International and the project will be implemented in Barishal district from March 2019. Note that this requirement will depend on the availability of donor fund.Overview of the Project:Shishuder Jonno (For the children) Program is a sponsorship funded initiative of Save the Children in Bangladesh to support development of children particularly who are deprived from basic needs and services like health, education and living opportunities. Under this program, comprehensive activities as appropriate to children below 19 years are in implementation through following life-cycle approach. Country Office has been implementing diversified program core components, such as Maternal, Newborn, Child Health & Nutrition (MNCHN), Early Childhood Care & Development (ECCD) including Early Childhood Care and Stimulation (ECCSP), Basic Education (BE) including ICT in education, School Health & Nutrition (SHN) & Adolescent Development (AD). The non-core components are - Child Protection (CP) and Child Rights & Governance (CRG). The cross-cutting components are - Community Mobilization, Social Safety net, Gender and Inclusion.This Integrated Child Development Program has been engaging children, their families and community actors in order to address the needs of the children and to create enabling development environment for them. Save the Children have been continuing sponsorship interventions in its Rural Impact Area (IA) of Bakergonj & Muladi Upazila in Barishal District to implement long-term, age appropriate, children development program for next 10 years.Responsibilities:The Field Facilitator (ECCD & BE) is the font line staff of ICDP-SJ program for implementing ECCD & Basic Education program effectively at the community and primary school/Ebtedayee Madrasha level. S/he will also responsible to ensure mobilizing community through participatory approach; closely work with parents, SMC, PTA, Community Group, Community Support Group, Primary School Teachers, Union Parishad, community leaders, local elites, and ensure effective participation/engagement of them, building their capacity for sustaining impact& building ownership on program. S/he will ensure high standard of service for children, parents and for community in collaboration with other program/component of ICDD-SJ (School Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Child Right & Governance& Community Mobilization) and other service provider at community level. This is a union based position.Job Location: Bakergonj/Muladi Upazila in Barishal DistrictEducational RequirementsBachelor/HonorsGraduation degree in social science/education or equivalent degree.Experience RequirementsAt least 2 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGOAdditional Requirements02 (Two) years` working experience on education program or rural development.Preference will be given to the candidate having experience on education program (ECCD & Primary Education) and integrated child development.S/he expected to have sound knowledge on community mobilization and good skills on facilitation, inter-personal communication, organizing event, influencing, reporting and writing skills in Bangla.Knowledge on community level health services, community motivation, and participatory approach will add advantage.S/he/should has mentality to perform his/her responsibilities to stay in his/her assigned union.Good facilitation skillsStrong inter-personal communication skillsGood influencing skillsProven ability to organize meeting/eventsAbility to visit communities frequentlyGood writing skills in BanglaMotor-cycle driving skills and valid driving license will give preference.To work in teamTo protect children in connectionTo be non-discriminatory and gender sensitiveJob LocationBarishalSalaryTk. 21120 (Monthly)
