We are committed to an environment where everyone can succeed.Scope of Work: The Youth Mobilizer will work closely with youth groups, Youth-Led Organizations (YLOs), local government bodies (such as DYD and NYC), private sector partners, and training institutions to build youth competence, confidence, and connections. This includes supporting AI-based youth profiling and aptitude testing, facilitating access to technical and green skills training, linking youth with financial and employment opportunities, and fostering youth leadership in community and climate-focused actions. The role requires regular interaction with the community to identify and motivate youth participants, organize group activities, monitor training progress, and provide ongoing mentorship and follow-up. The Youth Mobilizer will also contribute to building the organizational capacity of YLOs, helping them manage small grants from the Youth Challenge Fund, organize local youth forums, and implement community-driven initiatives. In addition to direct engagement with youth, the Youth Mobilizer will coordinate with employers and government stakeholders to advocate for inclusive recruitment practices, support joint monitoring visits, and document success stories, challenges, and learning from the field. Position holder will contribute to implementing the Integrated Youth Empowerment Approach by facilitating youth access to AI-based aptitude testing, demand-driven skills training, entrepreneurship pathways, and engagement in green and climate-focused initiatives. The position will also support the strengthening of youth-led organizations (YLOs) to promote youth civic engagement and policy advocacy in collaboration with MoYS, NYC, and private sector actors.Responsibility # 1: Youth mobilization and implement youth empowerment activities: 25%Mobilize and register youth (with equal participation of young women) for project activities in assigned unions/wards.Facilitate community-level awareness sessions on youth empowerment, green economy, and employment pathways.Maintain accurate data of mobilized youth through project MIS/CRM.Support youth participation in advocacy campaigns and social transformation activities.Responsibility # 2: Facilitate AI-Based Aptitude and Profiling Activities: 15%Support implementation of AI-based youth aptitude tests.Guide youth in interpreting results and selecting suitable training or career pathways.Ensure accurate data collection and timely reporting.Responsibility # 3: Support Skills Development and Employment Linkage: 25%Coordinate with training providers and private sector partners for youth enrollment in classroom, industry-based, and informal apprenticeship training.Track youth attendance, progress, certification, and job placements.Facilitate mentorship sessions and success story documentation.Support youth transition to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities aligned with green economy sectors.Responsibility # 4: Community Engagement and Networking: 20%Build relationships with local leaders, schools, employers, and YLOs to promote youth inclusion.Collaborate with YLOs and local government for policy advocacy, civic engagement, and climate action.Organize and support local and district-level youth events, dialogues, and coordination meetings.Promote inclusive practices for young women and disadvantaged youth.Responsibility # 5: Reporting, Learning, and Monitoring: 10%Submit weekly and monthly reports to the District Coordinator.Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.Participate in team reflection and learning sessions to enhance program quality.Contribute to documentation for sustainability and exit strategy implementation.General Responsibilities on Safety and Security, and Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults 5%As part of this role, the job holder must adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day-to-day duties and comply with safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting. Working Conditions: Based at CARE Bangladesh Gazipur Hub OfficeEducational RequirementsBachelor of Social Science (BSS)Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Education, Youth Development, or a related discipline.Experience RequirementsAt least 2 year(s)Additional RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience in youth/community mobilization, skills development, or NGO field work.Specialized coursework or certifications in entrepreneurship, private sector development, or workforce skills will be an added advantage.Strong facilitation and mentoring skills with youth and community groups.Experience organizing youth events, training sessions, or advocacy campaigns.Basic understanding of TVET, entrepreneurship, and green economy concepts.Experience working with YLOs, DYD, or local government agencies preferred.Proficiency in MS Office, digital data tools, and reporting in Bangla and English.Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning tools.Record-keeping experienceFamiliarity with AI-based or digital profiling systems desirable.Candidates need to be highly motivated and committed to CARE Bangladesh’s vision, mission, and long-term development work to significantly improve the lives of the most vulnerable and marginalized people.
