Unit Head - Edible oil Refinery Unit

About CompanyResponsible for overseeing all aspects of production, maintenance, and utilities within our edible oil and canola crushing facility. Ensure optimal performance of plant and machinery, efficient resource utilization, and continuous improvement in quality and yield.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Quality & Yield: Maintain high production quality and minimize losses. Uptime: Maximize plant availability with minimal unplanned breakdowns. Resource Efficiency: Optimize consumption of water, steam (husk-fired), energy, and chemicals. Material Utilization: Reduce wastage of raw, ancillary, and packing materials.Core Responsibilities Production & Operations Plan, schedule and monitor production to meet output targets and quality standards. Ensure smooth operation of all ancillary units, including tin and jar plants, as well as the packing division. Plant & Machinery Optimization Oversee the performance of boilers, electrical systems, process lines, and packing equipment. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to raise throughput and lower breakdown frequency. Utilities & Resource Management Manage utility systems—water treatment, steam generation (husk boiler), compressed air, and power generation/consumption. Track and control chemical usage across refining and crushing processes. Maintenance & Reliability Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected downtime. Investigate and document breakdown causes; maintain a detailed logbook of issues and resolutions. Cost Control & Inventory Monitor spare parts and store usage; identify opportunities to reduce inventory costs without impacting uptime. Minimize loss and scrap of raw, ancillary, and packing materials. Technology & Innovation Stay updated with the latest edible oil refining technologies and best practices. Provide technical input on canola crushing operations and make recommendations for process enhancements. Project Management Lead and coordinate projects related to capacity expansions, equipment upgrades, and process modifications.
