Every day.Job SummaryStable and mature Supply Chain unit manager opportunity to lead the future business capabilities while developing a great team in the functions of order handling, material planning, and inventory management to deliver separation technology from a global leader to the Food, Water, Energy, and Marine industries.You are the single point contact with the BU & Sales company with knowledge and competence to ensure demand plans/forecasts are aligned with material and capacity needs involving high variation of products and purchased materials are on-time. Continually improving the processes, and people for the good of the planet.The Supply Chain Unit Manager is a key function in the management team, and visible leadership role in the factory operation. This position requires strong inventory management knowledge and continuous improvement behavior along with excellent customer service and staff development commitment.ERP system and Process owner mindsetExperience to drive, lead, implement new initiativesStandardized work – systems, procedures, routinesTeam player mindset and cross functional collaborationKey TasksResponsible for the performance the unit, including financial KPIs, ex. IDS, Obsolescence, DOT and order fulfillment lead-time.Standardize, optimize, and monitor the supply chain processes within the unit following approved SOP's.Set and follow up targets for the unit connected to factory priority.Participate in making the factory Operational plan.Support and initiate supplier development activities together with support functions.Participate in NEP and give input to EPD.Make costing update for the unit.Drive and lead Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement activities, and secure the result.Lead and develop the people in unit according to YOU program.Work together with management team to achieve factory’s KPI target.Proactive communication with customers, suppliers, internal & external Operation.Order HandlingDeliver a cross functional service to the customer in order to meet the customer demands and secure a timely and accurate communication to the customer as well as within own organizationRegistrate orders and monitor order settlement process (delay, move forward, orders on hold, TBA)Ensure that orders are maintained and updated. Handle returns, commission, credit/debit. Coordinate and follow up on claims from customers.PlanningMust have good analytical and planning skills to establish supply requirementsReview forecasts with suppliers and material schedules with the production management teamEstablish inventory classifications (ABC) and cooresponding standardized supply schedulesMaterial PurchasingMonitor supply chain performance and establish metrics to assess factors such as quality, cost and delivery performanceCollaborate with members of the supply chain to find ways of improving efficiency or reducing costERP system utilization for all activites to provide visibility to all users of the supply chainCommunicationBuild relationships within the factory, global business unit, and product groupCollaborate with other departments in order to identify problems and find solutionsMaintain and develop positive business relationships with sales company and customersGeneralAssist the development of new products (NPD) regarding supply chain setup and coordinate routine design notifications (DN) for existing product (EPD) changes across the supply chainKeep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations for managementDevelop analytics, systems and data management capabilities, including metrics and reportsDirect the hiring, training, supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations of supply chain staffReview or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws (sustainability)About YouNecessary Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesUnderstanding of accounting and finance, related to purchasing materials from supplier and inventory controlRead and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreementsDiagram supply chain process to help facilitate improvements and develop standard operating proceduresWorking knowledge of ERP systemStrong communication skills and the desire to build lasting relationshipsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsAbility to perform accurate arithmetic computations using applications such as spreadsheet, word processing, email and database softwareBachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field3-5 year experience management responsibilityWork in multinational manufacturing companies will be a plusSolid english ability and comfortable working globally in written and oral english
