It focuses on the visual arts in Europe, Asia, and the Islamic World. Currently there are 2000 students.The Department of Art History is inviting applications for a position (75%) as University Assistant (pre-doc) specialising in East Asian Art History starting March 15th, 2026.Your New JobAs a university assistant (pre doc), you will complement the team around Univ.-Prof. Lukas Nickel. Our research and teaching focusses on the art history of East Asia.The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension.
