Your ResponsibilitiesConduct independent, internationally visible research and publish in relevant peer-reviewed outlets; teach in the field of General and Gystematic Eduational ScienceParticipation in ongoing research projects and acquire third-party (external) research funding; independently design and implement theoretical or empirical research projects in General and Systematic Educational ScienceContribute to further developing a research focus on digital transformation and media education (i.e. post-digital media cultures, methodologically reflective research on digital practices; development and evaluation of digitally supported teaching and learning formats) within General and Systematic Educational ScienceOpportunity to pursue a habilitation (postdoctoral qualification)Conceptualize and organize conferences and other scholary exchange formats (e.g. workshops, symposia, lecture series)Teach independently (4 contact hours per week, 4 SWS); set, administer and grade examinations, supervise BA/MA thesesProvide academic advising and organizational support to students of the Department of Educational ScienceContribute to departmental administration, communications/public relations and outreach, and evaluation/quality-assurance activitiesYour ProfileCompleted doctorate/PhD in Edcuational Science/Pedagogy (or a closely related field) with an excellent academic recordExpertise in at least two of the following areas: history of ideas, social history, conceptual history, philosophy/theory of science (as related to education), foundational concepts and traditions of educational thought (Generel and Systematic Educational Science/Pedagogy), theories of education, theories of subjectification, theory of Bildung and philosophy of education, digital transformation and media eduationStrong publication record and university-level teaching, particularly in educational theory and in general, historical and systematic pedagogyExperience in applying for and conducting theory-building and/or empirical research projects is desirable; strong knowledge of theoretical and/or empirical research methodsExcellent commond of German and English, with clear written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and proactively, combined with strong teamwork and organisational skillsEnthusiasm for scholary work and for working with studentsWe OfferMeaning: We offer meaningful work for the world of tomorrow.Our internal continuing education program is as colorful as the university itself.Collaboration: With us, you'll find interdisciplinary, cross-professional opportunities to work together.Benefits: Of course, there are all the usual benefits, from A "access to healthcare services" to Z "Zero emission goal".Diversity: Besides our various scientific fields and their related issues, we offer a working environment in which diversity and inclusion are lived.Flexibility: We demonstrate flexibility not only with the various working time models but also through the offers for the compatibility of family and career.We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 69,060.59 for a fulltime position.
