Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead our B2C sales and admissions operations in Nepal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-ticket B2C consultative sales and extensive experience in managing and scaling sales teams. This role will involve leading and mentoring a team of 3β5 Admissions Counsellors, ensuring enrolment growth, high-quality student engagement, and achievement of ambitious revenue goals in a competitive study abroad market. Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and motivate the admissions/business development team to consistently achieve monthly and quarterly enrolment & revenue targets.
Drive the end-to-end sales lifecycle β lead generation, counselling, program presentations, conversions, and post-sales support. Monitor sales funnel quality, forecast accurately, and implement strategies to improve conversion rates. Provide continuous training to counsellors on program knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement best practices. Foster a high-performance, growth-oriented culture with focus on talent retention and development. Set, monitor, and analyze KPI-driven performance metrics for individuals and the team. Promote and strengthen the value proposition of UpGrad Study Abroadβs programs to students and parents. What We Are Looking ForMandatory: Demonstrated success in high-ticket B2C sales (USD $2,000β$5,000 range preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of consultative B2C sales experience; exposure to education/EdTech sales is an advantage. Experience managing teams of sales executives and/or team leaders. Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal) with strong interpersonal ability. Highly data-driven with capability to design, implement, and optimize sales processes. Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach. High emotional intelligence, with empathy and patience when engaging with students and parents. Exceptional sales acumen with proven expertise in closing high-value deals. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
