By ensuring sound decisions and efficient management, we strive to create sustainable, well-planned communities offering safe and affordable housing options.Whilst the Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) Directorate is part of DHUD, we are an independent Office with our own goals and mission – to deliver fair and equitable statutory valuations for all properties in the State. We are primarily staffed with specialist property valuers and support staff and are responsible and accountable for the State’s Land Valuation System and ensuring that the functions undertaken by the Service Provider, Land Services SA (LSSA), in performing statutory valuations across the State are compliant and effectively administered in accordance with the Valuation of Land Act 1971 and the Land Services Agreement. The OVG also supports government decision making through the provision of professional valuation advice and strategic services.For more information on the OVG or the role of the State’s Valuer-General, please visit www.valuergeneral.sa.gov.au .The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated administrator to undertake a range of valuation and administrative functions and services to support the OVG Advisory team in their delivery of specialised valuation services to government agencies. Responsibilities include preparation and editing of correspondence and reports, research, analysis of valuation information and records management. The role is also responsible for database management and administration of a comprehensive tracking system to manage the flow of valuation services and associated financial administration.Work with similar minded professionals who strive each day to make South Australia a great place to live and work. Ideally this would suit an individual who is pursuing a tertiary qualification in a property related field.To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following areas:Provision of general administration support to a team.Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (spreadsheets), Word (templates).It is desirable if you have experience in undertaking financial administration including invoicing and relevant tracking systems.Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.Essential QualificationN/ADesirable QualificationsIt is desirable if you have a current Driver’s Licence.Special ConditionsSuccessful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment.
