To support our executive team (CEO, CFO, CTO, COO) in Munich or Mannheim, we are offering a Visiting Associate Internship (6–10 weeks, start date flexible). In this role, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working directly with our leadership on high-impact projects and taking on responsibility from day one. Therefore we are looking for you to drive our scaling as Venture Development Manager (m/f/d) in Mannheim or MunichYour core tasks will includeStrategic Initiatives Take end-to-end ownership of critical projects – from concept and analysis through to operational execution – in areas depending on company priorities (Operations, Finance, Sales, etc.)Operational Excellence Optimize capacity planning and resource allocation in our projects (e.g., service provider deployment for construction sites). Drive cost optimization initiatives to further improve our unit economicsPricing & Sales Support Further develop and manage our pricing model. Analyze market and pricing data and articulate the customer impact (e.g., benefits for real estate portfolios)Finance & Cashflow Build transparency into cashflow and proactively manage exposure. Co-develop digital tools and processes to track down payments, supplier payments, and project progress in real time. Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation measuresProject Controlling & Value Engineering Establish rigorous controlling for ongoing projects. Analyze project and product costs, identify value drivers and savings opportunities, and implement best practices to continuously improve profitability and qualityHands-on Problem Solver Act as the entrepreneurial “troubleshooter” for urgent challenges. Where persistence is lacking, you step in – diving into details, structuring problem-solving, and pushing measures independently forward without daily follow-up. You lead by example and ensure that critical tasks reliably cross the finish lineYour ProfileEducation & Experience MBA and/or professional experience in a high paced and demanding environment at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, or a demanding startup/scale-up. Strong intrinsic drive and track record of excellence in both academic and professional settingsAnalytical Strength Exceptional skills in analytical thinking, problem structuring, and financial modeling. Ability to set up efficient business processes and independently steer a P&L. You leverage data analysis to prepare sound decision-makingCommunication & Influence Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and confident interaction with diverse stakeholders. You present complex issues clearly and persuasively and can influence across teams even without formal authorityHands-on Mentality Strong bias for action and leadership qualities through active involvement. You roll up your sleeves and take ownership instead of just delegating, while keeping the bigger picture in mind and motivating others by leading from the frontBusiness Acumen Deep understanding of business models and financial drivers. You are comfortable with KPIs (P&L, cashflow, ROI), can identify value drivers, and spot opportunities for value engineering to balance cost, quality, and customer benefit. Experience in rapidly scaling structures and processes during growth phases is an advantageTechnical Understanding Quick grasp of technical and product-related topics. Ideally, you bring a background or at least a strong interest in our product/industry (e.g., engineering knowledge) to tackle interdisciplinary challenges at the interface of technology and businessDigital Skills High affinity for data and digital tools in data analytics and automation; ideally, you bring experience with applications such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Lovable, or n8n to structure complex data sets efficiently and automate operational processes. You quickly adapt to new digital systems to streamline workflows and unlock efficiency gainsLanguages Fluent in both German and English, enabling you to work effectively with internal stakeholders as well as customers and partnersPersonality Strong self-initiative, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive.
