Sport and Recreation supports and encourages participation and success in sport and active recreation through delivery of: grant funding for sport and active recreation organisations and clubs, infrastructure and participation programs the operation of precincts and venues and through engaging and partnering with the active industry across Queensland. Through this investment we want to improve the health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders by assisting them to be more active.Key Responsibilities Venue Management: Oversee all venue functions, including client bookings, staff onboarding, rostering, supervision, and training, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Facility Maintenance and Operations: Manage maintenance, cleaning, and administration of the venue's buildings, grounds, plant, and equipment. Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement procedures and work method statements for operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practices. Tenant Relations: Ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and maintain positive relationships with tenants in line with the Customer Service Charter. Policy and Guideline Compliance: Contribute to the development and enforcement of management and monitoring systems to ensure adherence to departmental policies and guidelines. Service Provider Coordination: Liaise with contractors (e.g., construction, maintenance, security, cleaning) to deliver the Annual Maintenance Program within budget and timeframes. Legislative Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure venue operations meet workplace health and safety, fire safety, environmental, and other legislative standards. Oversee risk management systems and update related documentation as needed. Event Liaison: Work with venue users before, during, and after events to ensure proper use of the venue and address client needs. Data Analysis and Planning: Collect and analyse data, review maintenance programs, and contribute to the development of management action plans.Team Leader Suitability AssessmentVision: Understand and ensure the team's work aligns with the organisation's objectives. Results: Manage team performance and organise workflows to achieve the required work program. Foster team development and collaboration, managing both internal and external relationships effectively. Inspire commitment by regularly reviewing performance and engaging in open, constructive discussions with team members. Accountability: Demonstrate expertise in venue and facilities management, with a strong focus on workplace health and safety.
