Role: Vice President – Agency Management (Shipping Line)Location: Dubai, UAE | Singapore (On-site)Industry: Shipping linerExperience: Minimum 15+ years (including 8+ years with a Shipping Line)Salary: Up to AED 60,000 + Family BenefitsEmployment Type: Full-time, On-siteAbout the RoleThe VP – Agency Management will lead the global agency network to execute the company’s strategic vision. This role is responsible for building a competent and engaged organization, driving performance management through balanced scorecards, and ensuring cross-functional alignment to drive consistent execution across all regions.Key ResponsibilitiesOwned AgenciesProvide strategic leadership to the owned agency network and ensure delivery of operational and commercial goals.Develop and implement Balanced Scorecards to benchmark agency performance; continually evaluate key performance metrics.Conduct monthly performance reviews and follow through on actionable items.Support owned agencies in collaboration with HQ and support functions (PE/BA/GPC) on improvement and optimization initiatives.Oversee quarterly or bi-annual reviews of local charges and demurrage tariffs.Global Agency NetworkSupport expansion into new markets by identifying, interviewing, and appointing 3rd-party agents.Ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and ongoing performance management of appointed agents.Fit-for-the-Future OrganizationSupport the transition of 3rd-party agents to owned agencies through structured planning, considering regulatory, operational, and timeline dependencies.Partner with agency heads to review organizational structures, key roles, and competency requirements.Drive local initiatives that strengthen the company’s brand presence in each market.Identify cross-functional needs related to vendor and partner engagement and support agency leaders in improving visibility and efficiencies.AccountabilitiesLeadership and performance management of the owned agency network.Development and execution of performance dashboards and scorecards.Driving agency revenue initiatives and overall agency performance.Appointment and management of new agents.Oversight of organizational setup, key personnel decisions, and transitions from 3rd-party to owned agencies.Key Success MetricsCountry performance dashboardsLocal charges and tariff accuracyDelivery of country action plansOrganizational efficiency and readiness
