Your Role Our team currently has an opening for a Vice President Business Development & Strategy Brenntag Essentials North America in either Wayne, PA or Houston, TX.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Execution:Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define and execute strategic priorities, translating organizational goals into actionable plans. Support systematic prioritization and development of strategy and transformation roadmap within region. Project Management:Oversee and manage key strategic projects and initiatives (including M&A due diligence and integrations), ensuring timely progress and alignment with overall objectives.Cross-Functional Communication:Serve as a bridge between the executive and various departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication and information flow.Operational Efficiency:Streamline internal processes, resolve bottlenecks, and implement systems to improve operational efficiency and team productivity.Executive Support:Prepare materials for executive meetings, help manage the executive calendar to prioritize high-impact activities, and act as a representative in certain meetings and engagements.Assess key executive risks, flag issues proactively and pre-emptively in region and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.Information and Analysis:Conduct research, analyze data, and synthesize information to support executive decision-making.Culture and Alignment:Work to align teams around the executive's vision, upholding and nurturing the organization's culture.Your Profile Strategic Thinking:A strong grasp of business strategy, operational excellence, and organizational dynamics.Leadership:The ability to lead without direct authority, guiding projects and teams toward successful outcomes.Communication:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and build relationships at various levels of the organization, including senior leadership around the globe.Strong interpersonal skills , as well as effective communication and presentation styles, including creating clear and concise power point presentations to convey a message. Problem-Solving:Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex issues and identify core problems within business processes.Discretion and Trust:Strong work ethic. A high level of discretion and trustworthiness, maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information, given their close work with senior leadership and handling of confidential information.Project Management and Execution:Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring their successful completion, meeting key milestones under tight timelinesEducation Experience in or with the chemical or wholesale distribution industry, is preferred.10+ years in leadership roles, with demonstrated strong business acumen.Minimum of a BS degree.
