Vice Presidents in our Restructuring & Revitalization Practice play critical roles at G2 in providing first-class strategic, operational, and financial solutions that deliver sustainable, bottom-line results for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring client-facing experience from restructuring advisory, consulting, public accounting, or private equity environments with relevant industry experience in G2’s sectors of focus.Location: Boston, MA, or for select applicants in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, DallasWhat You’ll DoProvide leadership and oversight into financial and operational restructurings as well as distressed sell-side or capital markets mandates; responsible for driving to successful outcomes Own and drive strategic discussions and relationships with existing and potential clientsManage G2’s deal teams, including associates and analysts to prepare assessments and execute operational turnaround initiatives, balance sheet restructurings or sell-side/capital markets transaction support for client companiesBe able to both lead & be hands-on for clients on liquidity management, forecasting, financial models, operating plans, valuation analyses, business unit profitability, and other capital management mattersOn certain mandates, act as interim Controller, VP of Finance, CFO or an extension of client accounting & finance functionManage clients through insolvency proceedings, including bankruptcy, receiverships, foreclosures, and assignments for the benefit of creditorsControl project costs, develop resource and project management plans, and tightly manage the transaction or restructuring process timelineDevelop G2’s junior resources by providing hands-on mentorship, coaching and trainingManage business development activity through sourcing and closing prospective clientsWhat We Look For5 - 7+ years of formal operational and financial restructuring experience in a consulting/advisory capacity; experience supporting organizations through the entire life cycle of restructuring, including bankruptcies Demonstrated deep expertise and knowledge within G2’s industry practice areas with a focus in the following areas a plus: Transportation & Logistics, Industrials & Manufacturing, Technology & Business Services, Consumer & RetailUndergraduate and graduate degrees from a top academic institution; professional accreditations or licensing (CFA, CPA, etc.) (highly regarded but not required)Strong business analysis, financial analysis and modeling skills, including bottoms up operating model developmentExpertise with insolvency proceedings, including bankruptcyCredit expertise, including having reviewed, analyzed, and negotiated credit agreements through new transactions and restructuringsFinancial accounting expertiseStrong experience within the project and/or engagement lifecycle; this would include the planning, development, and management of resources, budgets, client expectations, and deliverablesDemonstrates a sense-of-urgency attitude with a flexible and adaptive working style. Explore our values here.This role offers uncapped total compensation, with typical earnings of approximately $450,000+, depending on business development and execution performance. The annual base salary for this position is $140,000, and bonuses are paid upon transaction closing or throughout the year as revenue is collected.G2 is unable to offer employment sponsorship for our roles.
