As our Lead Videographer and Photographer, you will play a key role in shaping the brand’s visual identity, capturing high-quality photos and videos at events, executing marketing campaigns, and producing content that inspires, educates, and converts. You’ll collaborate directly with our CEO and marketing team to create assets used across social media, online courses, ads, and live events.ResponsibilitiesDaily/Weekly:Plan, shoot, and edit video and photo content for digital marketing, social platforms, and ad campaignsCollaborate with the team to execute creative briefs and brainstorm visual storytelling ideasMaintain and organize digital media assets and equipmentScout and suggest shoot locations and setupsAttend and capture behind-the-scenes and testimonial footage at live and virtual eventsCreate short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.Edit and retouch product, speaker, and event photos for use online and in printMonthly:Edit long-form content (webinars, course modules, interviews, etc.)Produce highlight reels, sizzle reels, and event recapsOversee the visual consistency and branding of all content deliveredSource and manage freelance photographers/videographers as needed for larger projectsQuarterly:Audit and refresh our visual asset libraryResearch and propose new creative trends and equipment upgradesPresent visual content performance insights in team meetingsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely delivery of high-quality edited photo/video assets (measured weekly/monthly)Engagement metrics on video content (views, shares, comments, completion rates)Brand consistency and visual quality, as judged by marketing and leadership teamEffectiveness of event coverage (captured testimonials, key moments, and promo-ready content)Internal satisfaction with responsiveness, collaboration, and creativityGrowth OpportunitiesOpportunity to transition into a Creative Director or Head of Content role within 2-5 yearsLead and mentor a growing visual content team as the company expandsAccess to professional development budgets and trainingDirect influence on brand storytelling and creative directionQualificationsRequired:3+ years professional experience in videography and photography (portfolio required)Advanced proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting, and audio equipmentSkilled in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar video editing softwareProficient in Adobe Photoshop and LightroomExperience filming live events and testimonialsKnowledge of social media video formats and current trendsStrong creative vision and storytelling abilityPreferred:Experience working with speakers, authors, coaches, or at live eventsFamiliarity with YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram algorithm best-practicesBasic motion graphics or animation experience (After Effects, Canva, etc.)Key Traits:Detail-oriented with high standards for qualityExcellent communicator and team playerFlexible and able to act quickly in dynamic environmentsStrong project management and organizational skillsComfortable with occasional travel for eventsCan take initiative and work independentlyHow to ApplyPlease submit:Your resume and a cover letter highlighting your relevant experienceA link to your portfolio (photo and video work – Instagram, YouTube, or website preferred)In your email subject line, please use: “Lead Visual Storyteller Application – [Your Name]”Briefly (in your cover letter) tell us about a project you’re proud of and whyEmail your application to: ashley@ashleynicolekirkwood.comWe look forward to seeing how you can help us tell bigger, bolder stories!
