VP of Operations, Crypto Exchange

SwissWallter is a B2B self-service digital asset over-the-counter (OTC) trading desk. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize all operational aspects of our crypto exchange. This is a critical, full-time role based in Bucharest, Romania. As a fully licensed and regulated exchange - we are affiliated to SO-FIT, ensuring compliance with strict Swiss Anti-Money Laundering (AMLA) standards -, our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of scaling operations in a high-growth, regulated environment. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our platform as we continue to expand globally.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute the operational strategy to support the company's growth objectives. This includes scaling infrastructure, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational readiness for new products, features, and market expansions.Oversee all day-to-day operational functions, including:Define and manage service level agreements (SLAs), improve response times, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all operational procedures adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/KYC). Implement robust risk controls to protect the platform and users.Manage the secure and efficient movement of digital assets.Monitor trading engine performance, manage market data feeds, and ensure the stability and fairness of the trading environment.Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency gains across all operational workflows. Use data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimize resource allocation.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.Work closely with all teams to ensure seamless execution of company initiatives. Act as the voice of operations in strategic discussions.Manage relationships with key third-party service providers, including custodians, payment processors, and liquidity providers.Establish and lead the company's incident response protocols, ensuring timely and effective resolution of operational issues and communicating with stakeholders.Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
