Job Summary:The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and organized handling of materials, equipment, and consumables used in road construction and maintenance projects. This includes managing inventory accuracy, supervising warehouse staff, and supporting smooth and timely project execution.Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records for all construction materials, including aggregates, concrete forms, safety gear, tools, and spare parts.Conduct routine physical inventory checks and reconcile records with the inventory system and finance team.Monitor stock levels, anticipate shortages, and prepare timely material requisitions to avoid project delays.Establish and maintain a systematic approach for storage, labeling, and retrieval.Handle invoicing, delivery notes, purchase orders, and related documentation.2. Receiving and Dispatch:Supervise the receiving process, ensuring materials match purchase orders and inspecting for any damages or discrepancies.Manage accurate and timely dispatch of materials to project sites as per approved requests.Verify and document all outgoing materials with proper signatures from site representatives.Ensure accurate and timely system entries for all warehouse transactions.3. Safety, Security, and Compliance:Enforce safety standards for handling materials and operating warehouse equipment.Safeguard warehouse assets by implementing effective security and control measures.Comply with environmental and safety regulations for the storage of hazardous or restricted materials.4. Team Management:Supervise and train warehouse staff, including storekeepers and handlers, to ensure productivity and efficiency.Schedule team tasks, evaluate performance, and maintain high levels of accountability and teamwork.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, preferably in construction, heavy equipment, or road contracting.Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and proficiency in MS Office.Familiarity with safety and material handling standards (e.g., OSHA).Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
