Job Description

Summary:The Warehouse Technician – Lead SWING SHIFT oversees daily warehouse operations, manages staff, and ensures accurate inventory control and efficient material flow. This role supports supervisory tasks and drives improvements in logistics, inventory systems, and warehouse processes. The Lead Technician also coordinates closely with procurement and production teams to maintain clear communication and alignment across operations. Schedule:First 30 days – Monday through Friday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pmAfter 30 days – Monday through Thursday: 11:30 am – 10:00 pm (*subject to change on company needs)Accountabilities:Assign and oversee daily tasks for warehouse staff during the SWING SHIFTCoordinate with departments to meet production and delivery deadlinesTrain and mentor team membersLead safety meetings and enforce safety protocolsTrack team performance and report to managementOptimize warehouse layout for better material flow and space useSupport hiring and evaluate staff performanceAct as the main contact for materials and inventory coordinationHelp plan staffing and manage shift coverageJoin team meetings and support process improvementsEnforce safety policies and ensure complianceOrganize and maintain storage areas with clear labeling to support fast picking and restockingUse MRP software (Dynamics 365) to track inventory, monitor demand, and create purchase/work ordersReceive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and qualityWork closely with procurement and production to ensure material availability and accurate forecastingPerform cycle counts, resolve inventory discrepancies, and maintain proper stock levelsManage shipping and receiving, including paperwork, scheduling, and timely deliveriesKeep the warehouse clean and compliant with safety standard.
