If you care about environmental responsibility and love engaging with the community, this is your chance to make a real impact.What You'll Be DoingGet hands-on with sustainability by auditing residential bins, tagging, and sharing helpful feedback with residents (early starts at 6am to align with bin collection).Connect with the community through door-to-door conversations about waste reduction and recycling (flexible 3-5 hour shifts).Keep things running smoothly with accurate data entry and record-keeping.Be part of the action on Mondays and Tuesdays-availability on these days is essential!What We're Looking ForDemonstrated conflict resolution experienceExcellent communication and people skillsFriendly, positive and community-focused approachAbility to work independently in a team of twoTraining, interest or experience in waste, sustainability or environmental managementFlexible, reliable and able to adapt to changing conditionsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow set proceduresBasic data entry skillsFit, energetic, and comfortable working outdoors in all weatherRequirementsCurrent driver's licence and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)Current Police ClearanceAbility to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol screening)Valid Australian working rightsThe BenefitsCasual hourly rate: $35.90 per hourOptional super co-contribution of up to 3%Wellness programs including Fitness PassportFree counselling, health assessments, health insurance discounts, annual flu shot, and skin cancer screeningFree onsite parkingAbout UsLocated in Mundijong, just 45 minutes from the Perth CBD and set against the stunning Darling Scarp, the Shire is one of Australia's fastest-growing local governments.
