This role is for one of Weekday's clientsSalary range: Rs 1800000 - Rs 2000000 (ie INR 18-20 LPA)Min Experience: 15 yearsLocation: BengaluruJobType: full-timeRequirementsWe are seeking a seasoned Operations Head to oversee the daily functioning of our packaging material manufacturing business based in Bangalore. This role is ideal for a highly driven leader with a finance background and extensive experience in operations within the manufacturing sector. The candidate will be responsible for streamlining and managing cross-functional operations spanning manufacturing, finance, HR, procurement, logistics, and administration.

As the central figure in the operations team, you will drive performance, enhance productivity, ensure cost-effectiveness, and enable sustainable growth in alignment with the company's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Operations Oversight: Manage and coordinate the daily operations across all departments — manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, HR, and administration — ensuring alignment and efficiency. Finance and Budgetary Control: Leverage your financial background to supervise budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability enhancement. Monitor financial KPIs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Manufacturing Excellence: Lead production planning, quality control, and process improvement to achieve output efficiency.

Drive factory performance while maintaining product quality and safety standards. Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with senior management to set strategic objectives, convert them into operational plans, and ensure successful execution through effective resource management. Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Oversee sourcing strategies, vendor negotiations, raw material procurement, inventory management, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. HR & People Management: Manage workforce planning, employee engagement, policy enforcement, and performance management in collaboration with the HR team. Administrative & Compliance Functions: Supervise office and facility management, ensure legal and statutory compliance, and handle all documentation and reporting requirements related to business operations.

Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on operational metrics, performance benchmarks, and improvement initiatives. Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or Engineering. An MBA or equivalent in Operations/Finance is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a manufacturing or packaging setup. Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, cost structures, plant operations, supply chain logistics, and HR policies. Skills:

Strategic and analytical mindset with strong business acumen Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills Proficiency in ERP systems, operations planning tools, and financial software Problem-solving orientation with a hands-on approach
