IntroductionThe Division of Fish & Wildlife conserves and manages Delaware’s fish and wildlife and their habitats, and provides fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing and boating access on nearly 65,000 acres of public land.Click here for more information about the Fish and Wildlife Division.Summary StatementThis position supports statewide deer management and Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) surveillance during the seasonal collection period. Collects and processes samples, assists with population surveys and data entry, and maintains sampling equipment and records. Coordinates with partners, taxidermists, and hunters to ensure accurate data and effective program operations.Essential FunctionsEssential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all position in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Maintains records and reports detailing daily activity Maintenance of field equipment. Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Must be 18 years old Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases. Knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment such as farming equipment, construction equipment, trucks, boats, or small motor equipment.
