Work Study Executive

We are a leading recruiting company in Sri Lanka, and we are looking for a Work Study Executive for a prduct manufacturing company based in Colombo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and implementing efficient work systems and processes to enhance productivity and operational excellence within the factory environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and sustain the most effective work methods and systems at the factory to improve productivity. Facilitate efficient production and manufacturing processes. Plan and analyze new projects within production and other departments to support overall plant operations. Ensure smooth and continuous flow of production activities. Conduct Industrial Engineering and Time Study methods to optimize efficiency. Ensure alignment with organizational compliance standards. Collaborate with Quality, Technical, Production, and HR teams to enhance production capacity through method improvement, skill development, and resource optimization. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize WIP, improve throughput time, and reduce overall operational costs.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in a Junior Executive or Work Study role within the FMCG or manufacturing industry. Professional certification or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Time & Motion Study, or Process Improvement (an added advantage).Strong knowledge of work study techniques, industrial engineering principles, and production planning. Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant industrial engineering software. Experience with factory layouts, workflow optimization, and productivity analysis tools. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools for process measurement and performance tracking. Exposure to ERP systems and manufacturing data management tools. Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy-efficient manufacturing processes. Strong understanding of quality control methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities. Strong leadership, team collaboration, and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and perform under pressure. Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about driving continuous improvement.
