Workshop Foreman

Our client a leading logistics company seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to manage and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for a fleet of 151 heavy-duty trucks (TATA, SHACMAN, FAW, ISUZU, HINO, UD). The successful candidate will ensure optimal fleet performance, safety, and compliance while leading a skilled team of mechanics, welders, auto electricians, and panel beaters.Location: HarareDepartment: Workshop / Fleet ManagementReports To: Workshop Manager / Operations ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and supervise fleet maintenance and repairs.Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns.Manage workshop operations and ensure timely turnaround of vehicles.Control spare parts inventory and verify quality of spares and workmanship.Supervise and train workshop staff for efficiency and safety compliance.Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize downtime.Prepare reports on fleet status, workshop productivity, and maintenance costs.Monitor and control maintenance costs without compromising quality.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering or related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in fleet maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and related systems.Experience in managing Sage systems.Leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Skills & CompetenciesTechnical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and body repairs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in (SAGE) maintenance management systems and MS Office.Apply by sending your CV to: humancapitalprovacants@gmail.com
