Our valued client is an Australian-owned, national company with WA head office in Maddington. With 25 years of experience behind them, our client produces, delivers and maintains specialised piping products to the mining, irrigation, civil and plumbing sectors. This is a busy and dynamic company in need of an experienced hands-on Logistics Coordinator to manage the operations of a busy, fast-paced manufacturing yard in a varied and autonomous role.The role will involve a range of tasks and abilities including the following:Coordinating the loading and unloading of trucks plus the driver schedulesOverseeing orders, stock levels/transfers and managing inventory checksMaintaining a tidy and organised yard with a focus on efficiency and safetyLiaising with internal teams and building positive rapport with customers, sub-contractors and crews, using your effective communication skillsHaving the ability to solve problems, meet deadlines, prioritise tasks and keep the whole yard running smoothlyBuilding and leading a cohesive and tight-knit, happy teamThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:Several years of relevant experience with the logistics of running a busy yard and with heavy, ugly oversized freight in a manufacturing settingHave a Cert lll in Logistics (or similar) plus a driver’s license and forklift ticket – this is a hands-on role at timesA good working knowledge of safety practices in this type of environmentExperience in leading or supervising a team would be valuedWhat our client is offering the successful applicant:A salary of about $90,000 plus super (depending on experience), paid fortnightlyRegular hours are 7am to 3.30pm with a little flexibilityEAP, regular lunches and staff eventsRewards and recognition for hard work plus the opportunity for future growth and development within the companyPlease apply and suitable applicants will be sent all the details of the role and the employer.
