z/OS System Programmer (DB2 & CICS Specialist)KuwaitA leading technology services provider is looking for an experienced Mainframe Specialist to join their team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across z/OS, DB2, and CICS/TS, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing mission-critical IBM z Systems environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain DB2 for z/OS and CICS/TS, including DB2 Data Sharing and CICSPlex.Manage z/OS system software such as OMEGAMON and DB2 Admin Tools.Apply system updates and maintenance using SMP/E and ensure system stability and performance.Monitor and tune DB2, CICS, and z/OS performance, resolving complex technical issues.Lead and support System z projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery.Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to drive system availability, reliability, and efficiency.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).Proven experience with DB2 for z/OS, CICS/TS, and CICSPlex System Manager.Skilled in SMP/E, COBOL, and JCL with a strong understanding of system performance tuning.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project delivery skills.Arabic language skills are a plus.PreferredIBM certifications in DB2 for z/OS, CICS/TS, or System Programming.Experience with high-availability and resilience solutions in enterprise mainframe environments.
