Mocha Grand Dragon Hotel to cease operations Monday

The Mocha Grand Dragon Hotel will close at 11:59 p.m. on November 24. Melco Resorts, the gaming concessionaire, will reallocate “all electronic gaming machines at the Mocha Grand Dragon Hotel” to Melco’s “other casinos in the SAR, as approved by the DICJ.” The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Directorate (DICJ) will supervise the closure process to ensure legal compliance and orderly handling of cash, prizes, and gaming slips. The 44 Melco-employed staff will be reassigned within Melco’s Macau operations, with protections for their remuneration and benefits. Customers can also continue using gaming slips at select Melco venues (Altira Casino, Mocha Inner Harbor, Mocha Golden Dragon, and Mocha Sintra Hotel).
