NFL: How Denver Broncos can use running game to end Kansas City Chiefs reign in AFC West

New tight end Evan Engram has stepped up big and new running back JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four). I love that head coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet., external That shows how the Broncos are a team that wants to run first, because you can do a lot off the back of that. It slows down the pass rush and keeps you in favourable down and distances. It's also helped quarterback Bo Nix, who came into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020). Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to throw anywhere, but they don't move in the same way as Nix. He has incredible arm talent, which is different, and he is so athletic. His strengths are his mobility, being able to throw on the run, and finding different arm angles to make the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can throw that layered pass across the middle or over the corner. For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got a lot of poise in the pocket and isn't really fazed by the blitz. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able to throw under pressure. He has a high football IQ and is very decisive. When you constantly run the ball it eats up the clock and forces the defence to be on the field for longer, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defence has to cover the field vertically and horizontally. It can be exhausting. Nix has bitten back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and I think the coach likes that attitude, that he's such a competitor. I think it's fun for him to have a young quarterback who's kind of like play-dough. He can really build something up the way he wants to build it. I think it's a special experience for him. Payton has won a Super Bowl and now passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the success Denver are having on offence is mostly down to his leadership, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix helps make him what he is. You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to help you through some of the tougher situations and build confidence. I believe in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they good enough to go against an elite team at its best? Because that was not a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday. Right now, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're working above average, which is a good place to be in their division. All they need to do is maintain this trajectory. They're really good at leaning into their strength, which is running the ball, and that's exactly what they should do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially. The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst in the league), five rushing touchdowns this season (10th worst), and they're the only team yet to win a game. Since the NFL began tracking turnovers in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to be without a single takeaway through five games, which is kind of shocking when you think that their new coach Aaron Glenn was defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Keir Starmer meets Narendra Modi on his first visit to India

Arriving in India, the prime minister was given a rousing welcome, with thousands of photos of him and Modi lining the streets in Mumbai. On Thursday Sir Keir announced more UK universities would be opening campuses in India, which the government said would bring a £50m boost to the economy. Confirming that the University of Lancaster and the University of Surrey had been given approval for new campuses, he said: "I'm delighted that more Indian students will be able to benefit from a world-class British education in the near future – strengthening the ties between our two countries while pumping millions back into our economy and supporting jobs at home." The UK has a growing network of international campuses in India, with the University of York, University of Aberdeen and Queen's University Belfast among those expected to open campuses from as early as next year. On his first day, Sir Keir met the founder of India's digital ID system - Nandan Nilekani - in the wake of plans to introduce a digital ID for people working in the UK. The government's plan to introduce compulsory digital ID for people to prove their right to work in the UK has seen more than 2.8 million people signing a petition against the idea. But Downing Street is determined to press on, claiming it will curb the ability of migrants to work illegally. The government says the yet-to-be-implemented UK-India trade deal has already led to £1bn of investment and almost 7,000 jobs being created in the UK. Under the trade deal, India's average tariff on UK products will drop from 15% to 3%. The UK will cut taxes on Indian clothing, footwear, jewellery and frozen seafood, among other goods, while India will reduce duties on the import of Scotch whisky, cosmetics, medical devices and luxury cars. The deal is touted to increase the UK's gross domestic product (GDP) by £4.8bn each year and boost trade between the two countries by an additional £25.5bn a year by 2040. Last year, trade between the UK and India totalled £42.6bn, and was already scheduled to grow. Before arriving in India, Sir Keir told reporters that the UK would not relax visa rules for India but added that there were "massive opportunities" to improve trade and cultural ties with India. Sir Keir's visit comes against a backdrop of strained ties between Delhi and Washington over President Donald Trump's decision to impose 50% tariffs on India, which includes a 25% penalty for buying Russian oil. India and the US have been negotiating a trade deal for months but have not made a major breakthrough yet.

Fresh Fire TV Stick update could finally stop you streaming Sky TV for good

It's no secret that millions of UK homes are now using so-called 'dodgy' Fire TV Sticks to get their fix of entertainment. These modified devices - which continue to be readily available via online marketplaces - offer full access to premium content such as Sky Sports and blockbuster movies for a small yearly fee - some even include shows and boxsets for free. With so many people moving away from official providers, adapted Fire TV Sticks continue to be a concern for firms such as Sky. "If you speak to friends and colleagues, [or] you watch football, people will know that you can get jail-broken Fire Sticks, and you can access pirated services on Fire Sticks," said Nick Herm, Sky’s chief operating officer during an event earlier this year. "There are football fans who literally have shirts printed out that say Fire Sticks on them." Of course, this isn't Amazon's fault, and they certainly aren't taking any blame. The retailer sells its Fire TV Sticks completely legally and only pre-installs official apps such as Netflix , Disney+ and Prime Video. The issues arise from the ability to side-load unofficial applications, which then offer the free streaming software to be installed. That has made it impossible for Amazon to stop crooks using its devices - but things could be about to change. Amazon has just announced the launch of a new Fire TV Stick called the 4K Select. This more wallet-friendly gadget is not only slightly cheaper but also offers access to pin-sharp 4K visuals. It has also ditched Amazon's Fire OS operating system and switched to something called Vega instead. Perhaps the biggest change to this new software is its compatibility with apps. As spotted by the team at Cordbusters, it appears only approved software can be installed via Amazon's marketplace. That means unofficial applications won't work, and that could spell the end of streaming illegally on these devices. "For enhanced security, only apps from the Amazon Appstore on Fire TV are available for download," Amazon confirmed. Of course, this won't block current Fire TV Sticks from dodgy apps, but it could change things in the future.

Qatar Airways faces lawsuit after passenger dies choking on non-veg meal despite being vegetarian

PTC News Desk: An 85-year-old cardiologist choked and died mid-flight after he was allegedly served non-vegetarian meal despite being strictly vegetarian. Dr. Asoka Jayaweera, a retired cardiologist from Southern California was asked to eat around the meat in the regular non-vegetarian meal provided, according to reports. The incident occurred on a Qatar Airways flight from Los Angeles to Colombo on June 30, 2023. Passenger Dr. Asoka Jayaweera had pre-ordered a vegetarian meal for the 15.5-hour flight, but a flight attendant informed him that none were available. Instead, he was served a non-vegetarian meal and told to “eat around” the meat. While trying to do so, Jayaweera began choking and lost consciousness. The crew provided assistance and sought help from MedAire’s remote medical advisors, but his condition deteriorated. The aircraft diverted to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he was taken to a hospital. He died on August 3, 2023, from aspiration pneumonia, a lung infection caused by inhaling food or liquid into the lungs. His son, Surya Jayaweera, has now filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Qatar Airways, accusing the airline of negligence in both meal service and medical response. The suit claims the airline failed to provide the pre-ordered vegetarian meal and mishandled the in-flight medical emergency. He is seeking $128,821 in damages, the statutory minimum for negligence and wrongful death. The lawsuit mentions that Qatar and the US are part of the Montreal Convention, an international treaty governing airline liability. This convention sets a statutory payout limit of around $175,000 for onboard death and injury claims. Qatar and the United States are members of the Montreal Convention and as such QATAR is subject to the Convention's rules and has acquiesced to strict liability for personal injury or wrongful deaths occurring as a result of an accident on an international flight, the complaint states.

EastEnders' Louisa Lytton says she 'got stopped all day' in Sainsbury's £36 coat

Have you ever found a piece of clothing so good that it quite literally stops traffic? Former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton has– and the item is an absolute bargain, at that. Posting her look to Instagram as a carousel, the 36 year old says she wasn't about to let the stormy weather stop her from capturing the incredible coat she picked up from a supermarket brand. She also pens that she was "stopped all day" by people who wanted to know where the buy was from. The exact jacket Louisa wears is Sainsbury Tu's Brown Patent Faux Leather Coat , which is on sale for £36 (down from £45) and miraculously still in stock in all sizes from XS to XXL. Though the buy is perfect for anyone looking for a new transitional weather piece to add to their autumn wardrobes, the soapstar shares her delight at it being "such a good length" for petite girls like her, despite it not being marked as a petite range item. READ MORE: Kate Garraway steals The Traitors best dressed title from Claudia in £45 coat The Brown Patent Coat has a high-shine finish that gives it a sleek, modern look, while the deep chocolate tone (very on trend for A/W 25) keeps it wearable for every day. 'Most beautiful cat in the world' makes jaws drop as people spot 'unique' detail

A cat dubbed the "most beautiful in the world" has jaws dropping as they realise what makes it such a super rare pet. A social media post of the Ragdoll cat, named Pebbles, has exploded on TikTok with hundreds of thousands of likes and hundreds of comments left praising the animal. The cat featured in a brief video, with many viewers noting a surprising look for the animal . TikTok user @chimerapebbles shared the video of their Pebbles to their account and many comments shared nothing but love for the animal. One person wrote: "Jaw on the floor. So beautiful." Others meanwhile realised the cat has something very unique about them. The effect, which sees the cat with two different fur colours evenly split down their face, is very rare in felines. Pebbles the cat has been praised by members of the public who say it only adds to the beauty of the animal. One person wrote: "Absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous cat!" Another added: "Yes, I'm totally in love with Pebbles! She not only has the beautiful, unique markings on that sweet face but the most gorgeous blue shining eyes!! A true beauty! I could look at her all day." A third added: "She's so pretty!" The condition which led to Pebbles' two-coloured face is extremely rare in cats, making the viral post all the more interesting. Chimera, the condition which leaves cats with more than one fur colour, is an unlikely phenomenon which is not usually meant to affect the feline creatures. Information from Purina confirmed the effect is not often seen in cats but those who do have it will look very unique. Their website reads: "Chimera cats are some of the most beautifully marked cats in the feline world . "There are many questions as to how they gained their markings, and whether they were intentionally bred to look that way. The Chimera cat is made up of cells from two different embryos, which fuse together in the very early stages of pregnancy . "However, this mix in DNA will show differently in each cat. Some may be born with slight differences in colour, whilst others will have such dramatic colour differences that you will have that striking split-face Chimera effect." It's only an appearance difference for Pebbles and other Chimera-affected cats, with no personality changes to worry about. Purina experts added: "Most Chimera cats are sweet and gentle, but they can have an independent and confident side to them. "Some owners might say that they can also be stubborn at times. Their personalities come through in their body language, much like other cat types." There are very limited details on how the condition affects cats, though it has been noted that there could be issues with a few "specific health conditions, which can shorten their lifespan."

Budget 2026: How to apply for lesser-known Child Support Payment after increase

Budget 2026 has been criticised roundly as a conservative budget, but there were some increases to certain payments. In the budget, Child Support Payment was increased. There is weekly increase of €16 to €78 for children aged 12 and over. This brings the annual payment for kids aged 12 and over up to €4,056. There is also a weekly increase of €8 to €58 for children under 12, bringing the annual payment for children in that age cohort up to €3,016. How can people apply for this payment? Child Support Payment was previously known as Increase for a Qualified Child, and people on specific social welfare payments will qualify for it. A social welfare payment is made up of a weekly amount for the claimant, called the personal rate. People can also get an extra amount for a child, called Child Support Payment. To get a Child Support Payment (CSP), your child must: Normally live with you Meet the age requirement for that payment Be resident in the State Not be in legal custody (detained in a detention school) Your child does not have to be financially dependent on you for you to qualify for this payment. Your child can work and earn money, without affecting the increase paid to you. The payment can also be paid on behalf of foster children. However, you generally do not get a CSP if your child is getting their own social welfare payment, except in certain circumstances. If you are getting Child Support Payment during the summer holiday between academic years and your child becomes entitled to a social welfare payment in their own right, you will continue to get Child Support Payment. Instead, your child's payment is reduced by the amount of the Child Support Payment. You do not get a Child Support Payment (CSP) with the following payments: Working Family Payment Guardian's Payment (Contributory) Guardian's Payment (Non-Contributory) Bereaved Partner's (Non-Contributory) Pension Death Benefit by way of Orphan’s Payment You do not get a CSP if the gross income of your spouse, civil partner or cohabitant is over €400, and you get one of the following payments: Illness Benefit Injury Benefit Health and Safety Benefit Jobseeker's Benefit or Disablement Benefit (Incapacity Supplement) Invalidity Pension Carer's Benefit State Pension (Contributory) If your child is over 18, you can still get the payment in some circumstances. You can continue to get Child Support Payment for three months after they leave second level education or finish the Leaving Certificate, as long as they are not getting a social welfare payment in their own right. Child Support Payment can continue to be paid if your child starts work immediately after finishing school. If you are getting a long-term social welfare payment and your child is in full-time education, Child Support Payment will be paid up to age 22 or up to the end of the academic year in which he or she reaches 22.

Claudine Keane releases statement calling out the way people treat her husband Robbie

Claudine Keane, former Miss Ireland and wife of football legend Robbie Keane, has released a very honest and heartfelt statement about how people treat her husband and family on X. The mother-of-two didn't hold back when she said she observes how people treat Robbie when they want a favour as opposed to just being a friend. In a short statement on X, she wrote: "I'm forever watching how other people treat my husband. I watch how they treat him when they need something from him. I watch how they treat him when he's the one in need. "I notice who shows up and who doesn't. I notice who calls to ask about his well-being. I notice who calls when they need a favours. "And I'll protect him from anyone who thinks they can take advantage. If you can't value him when there's nothing in it for you, you don't deserve a seat at our table." Robbie faced a lot of criticism for his involvement in Israeli football. He became manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023 before stepping down the following June after his one-year contract ended. He defended his decision to stay and finish the season as a duty of care to the staff but faced backlash for not leaving after the Israel-Gaza conflict began. His family also had to deal with the scrutiny from a very small but hurtful bunch of individuals. Claudine said of the unrest at the time, "I would just like to remind a certain small group of individuals: my family, my children and I live in Ireland, this is our home. "I feel extremely uncomfortable and sometimes intimidated by some messages again from a small group that are hurtful, threatening and dangerous. They not only put genuinely our safety and wellbeing as a family at risk, they are using a sportsperson as a political pawn and in doing so inciting hatred by making absolutely outrageous accusations. I always felt safe in Ireland until now. "'I always wanted to move home, [bring] my kids up here and enjoy the Ireland that both me and my husband love," she said. "They [the trolls] are taking every bit of enjoyment and safety away from me and my family. We love our country, we are not politicians; we have never done any wrong. "My husband spent the majority of his adult life committed to the Ireland team... total and utter commitment," she said. "Please stop this absolute witch hunt and consider that politicians should not get to tell you where you can and cannot work. Is the UK, America [and] Saudi ok? We all want peace."

Clarkson's Farm's Jeremy Clarkson 'so sad' as he makes devastating death announcement

Jeremy Clarkson has received an outpouring of support after sharing some devastating news on Thursday. The star of Clarkson's Farm revealed on Instagram that the first calf born at Diddly Squat had been "destroyed" due to TB. TB, also known as Bovine Tuberculosis, is a serious, notifiable bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium bovis that mainly affects cattle, but can also infect other mammals such as badgers, deer, and pigs. After posting a photo of the calf, Jeremy penned, "This was the first calf ever born at Diddly Squat. And this morning, she was destroyed, while pregnant with twins, because she has TB. So sad." Fans flocked to the comments section to offer their condolences. One wrote, "That's so sad, I remember the joy and excitement from you all when she was born. It's heartbreaking to hear. I hope the rest of the herd is safe." Another added, "Very sad indeed, the compassion Mr Jeremy Clarkson shows animals in this increasingly horrible world is very heart-warming and I for one are very grateful to him, a brilliant man," reports the Express . A third chimed in, " I am so sorry, this is so heartbreaking." Another commented, "So sad but currently only way to ensure rest of herd have best chance of staying safe x." One more said, "So sorry." Jeremy has always been open about the ups and downs of farming life, which he frequently shares on social media and his TV show, Clarkson's Farm - and this isn't the first time the farm has been affected by TB. Earlier this year, the ex-Top Gear star confirmed that the reality show would be taking a hiatus after the fifth series premieres next year. In his latest column for The Sun, Jeremy commented on the future of the show: "It's likely that the brilliant guys who edit our show will find some nuggets of humour in the mix and that there'll be some laughs in season five. "And in the relentless sunshine, the Cotswolds did look fantastic. But at the coalface, it was knackering. Are we carrying on? Well, we've sent the cameras away to give us a break from that side of things for a while. "But yup. Kaleb's out there now in his tractor, and after I've finished writing this, I'll be joining him. The show goes on."

How Arsenal are taking the fight to Chelsea and Man City in aggressive youth academy drive

How Arsenal are taking the fight to Chelsea and Man City in aggressive youth academy drive

It was a cold Wednesday night in Preston, but Per Mertesacker’s heart was warm. Arsenal had just beaten the Championship side in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup last October and one of their academy graduates, Ethan Nwaneri, was the star of the show. Just 17 at the time, Nwaneri had scored the second goal in a 3-0 win and at full-time he stood in front of the away fans soaking up the applause. Fellow teenagers Ayden Heaven, Josh Nichols, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Tommy Setford joined him, and Mertesacker could not help but capture the moment. Standing in the directors’ box at Deepdale, the Arsenal academy manager pulled out his iPhone and filmed the scene. Almost a year on, Arsenal’s academy drive continues to accelerate. Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri are now fully integrated into the first-team squad, both signing five-year contracts in the summer. Max Dowman, only 15, has already made three first-team appearances. He was one of eight academy players on the pre-season tour of Asia, which was a source of huge pride for staff at Hale End. There is growing excitement about the next wave of talent, too. Arsenal Under-16s won the Premier League Cup in May - the first time in the club’s history - and several players from that team have since signed scholarship terms. Among them, there was a notable trend. Mertesacker has said before that the Under-9s age group, when players can first sign for an academy, is the most important. But Arsenal have also been recruiting aggressively in the higher age brackets. Of this year’s scholars, six of the 13 players joined Arsenal in 2022 or later. It is evidence of a more assertive recruitment approach designed to compete with the two dominant academies in England, which are Chelsea and Manchester City. Arsenal beat both clubs to the signing of winger Kyran Thompson from West Ham last year. Still only 16, Thompson is already featuring for the Under-18s and trained with the first team last month. Mishel Nduka is another talented prospect who has made the move across London and he announced on social media last month he had left Charlton to join Arsenal. He is playing for the Under-16s this season. Chelsea and City have long been seen as the preferred destinations for elite young talent because of their track record in development. Even those who do not make the first team often secure moves elsewhere in the Premier League or across Europe. That is an area Arsenal want to improve - and they have shown they can. Mika Biereth, signed from Fulham at 18, developed under Arsenal’s watch before earning a move to Monaco and a place in the Champions League. A close working relationship between Arsenal’s first team and academy, forged by Mertesacker and Mikel Arteta, underpins all of this. The ultimate goal is to produce players who can fill first-team needs. A few years ago, when Edu was still sporting director, academy coaches were even tasked with specifically developing left-footed centre-backs, which led to Heaven moving from midfield into defence. Now, technical director James Ellis is playing a key role in long-term squad planning and homegrown development. He is understood to have been central to the £1.7million deal for Shamrock Rovers midfielder Victor Ozhianvuna. The 16-year-old, who was attracting interest from Belgian side Club Brugge, will link up with Arsenal in January 2027. Brexit rules prevent Ozhianvuna from joining earlier, players from EU clubs must now wait until they are 18, and it is one reason Arsenal are increasingly scouting Northern Ireland and Scotland. Scotland Under-17s defender Callan Hamill was among this year’s new scholars, joining from St Johnstone. He spoke to Kieran Tierney before making the move south, and the former Arsenal full-back remains available for advice. Northern Ireland forward Ceadach O’Neill joined Arsenal in July last year after trials with Liverpool and Southampton. He is unlikely to be the last. Arsenal have opened a development centre in Northern Ireland for players aged Under-12 to Under-15. Phil Cowen, formerly of Rangers, was appointed last year to head up recruitment in the region and the club have partnered with GC Coaching, who help identify and nurture young footballers. The partnership gives Arsenal a network of contacts and visibility below the Under-12s to Under-15s age groups, allowing them to spot talent even earlier. Many in youth football expect Northern Ireland to become a hotspot for talent post-Brexit, and Arsenal have been quick to stake a claim. Still, there is more to do. Liverpool beat Arsenal to the signing of Salford City striker Will Wright this summer, while a deal for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Igor Tyjon never got over the line. Midfielder Dan Casey also opted to continue his development at Crystal Palace, despite scoring 18 goals for Arsenal in the Under-18 Premier League South last season. Those examples show that Arsenal’s youth recruitment project remains a work in progress. But, after two years of decisive moves, there has been promising progress.

COLEEN: 'My husband will do anything to avoid having sex with me'

Dear Coleen My husband never wants to have sex and it’s been so long since we last did it, I can’t even remember it. Intimacy started to go -downhill after my difficult -pregnancy with our youngest, then a traumatic birth. We didn’t have sex because of all the health issues and then coping with a newborn, but then it just carried on. He will literally do anything to avoid sex with me – he’ll go out with his mates, stay at work late or watch rubbish on TV until I’m asleep. The other night I lost my rag with him and it all came spilling out. He admitted he wasn’t bothered about sex but wouldn’t tell me why, claiming he didn’t know the reason and saying that I was making too big a thing of it. Since the argument, we’ve barely communicated and my mind is doing cartwheels, coming up with all sorts of reasons why he doesn’t want sex – could it be an affair or he just doesn’t fancy me any more? It’s driving me mad and I feel so unloved and lonely in this marriage. He’s a very closed off person, so it’s impossible to get him to be honest with me, but I know he’s holding something back. Please help. Coleen says You have to press the point because I think he probably does have reasons – he just doesn’t want to admit them. Explain that even if he’s worried it’ll upset you, he needs to lay his cards on the table because you’re not prepared to continue in a marriage without intimacy and no option for discussion. Just be prepared that you might not like what he has to say. It feels a bit like he’s forcing you into making a decision, so he doesn’t have to make it. Maybe if you get so fed up with him going AWOL and avoiding you, you’ll end the relationship and he won’t have to feel guilty about it because it was your choice. I hope that’s not what he’s doing, but be mindful of it. I think when you’re in this situation, it’s tempting to ask, “Is it me? Am I expecting too much?” But it’s not you – it’s how he’s making you feel. He’s gaslighting you and if he keeps shutting you down and suggesting you’re the one who’s making a big deal of it, you do have to think -seriously about next steps for you, as much as it hurts.

Nottingham Forest make Ange Postecoglou sack decision ahead of crucial Chelsea clash

Ange Postecoglou looks set to remain in-post at Nottingham Forest despite a dismal start to his reign at the City Ground. The former Tottenham boss took over from Nuno Espirito Santo last month, and he has not won any of his seven games at the helm so far. Most recently, Forest were beaten comfortably 2-0 by Newcastle at St James’ Park, to follow a 3-2 home defeat by Midtjylland in the Europa League, where Forest fans chanted ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ against their head coach. Postecoglou’s first game in charge came away at Arsenal, where Forest were comprehensively overcome 3-0, and a 3-2 loss to Championship side Swansea in the League Cup followed shortly after. Draws with Burnley and Real Betis preceded a 1-0 defeat by Sunderland at the City Ground, with Omar Alderete notching the winner. Reports claim that Evangelos Marinakis, the Forest owner, is using the current international break to assess the Australian’s position, and the Greek is a fan of Fulham manager Marco Silva, who worked under Marinakis’ ownership at Olympiacos. However, any move for Silva would come at a substantial cost, with Fulham due a sizeable compensation fee should Forest look to replace Postecoglou with the Portuguese. It is believed that Postecoglou will remain in position beyond the international break, with Forest’s next game against Chelsea. A reason for that could be the lack of managers available to Marinakis at present, with Forest reportedly in the market for a head coach with experience in a top-five European league, as well as a background in continental competition. Furthermore, Marinakis has never throughout his Forest tenure moved for a manager that is under contract elsewhere, instead seeking those that are out of work and that meet his criteria. As such, that could buy Postecoglou time, as he prepares his side for the visits of Chelsea and Porto next in the Premier League and Europa League, before they travel to the Dorset coast to take on in-form Bournemouth.

Tesco shoppers running for Christmas treat as it's half price for limited time

The festive countdown has officially begun, and with that comes the inevitable rush to secure essentials before the big day arrives. With supermarket food pre-orders now live, gift sets already lining the shelves, and Christmas decorations everywhere you look, shoppers are getting organised with just 77 days remaining. One savvy deal-hunter has uncovered a brilliant bargain at Tesco exclusively for Clubcard members - and it's one you'll want to snap up if you're after stocking fillers or simply fancy a nostalgic festive treat. TikToker @costoflivingcrisistips visited his local Tesco branch to hunt for offers, and if you're after a Terry's Chocolate Orange, you'd better move quickly. Filming the display, he revealed that currently, customers can grab one for £1 when they scan their Clubcard at the checkout. However, time is of the essence as "they haven't been a quid all year and they probably won't be again" according to the TikToker. Don't delay, because this Christmas special offering of 50% off is only valid until October 14. "So if you want one, get one quick," he advised. It's the perfect opportunity to stock up whilst they're so affordable - and you can easily justify treating yourself when they're only £1. In the responses, one person noted they "haven't been a pound for years," so they planned to purchase several while the price remained low. "My Dutch family are obsessed with Terry's chocolate oranges, thanks so much, I'm loading up for Xmas!!!!" another chimed in. However, one savvy shopper suggested an alternative: "And instead of buying 11 of these, they have Terry's chocolate baileys for £11". Unfortunately, a customer noted that if you're a fan of the mint variant, only "20p has been knocked off". But fear not, the festive treat isn't the only bargain to be had, as there are plenty of other deals on offer. Jammie Dodgers are a steal at half price, just 45p, a seven-pack of Penguins is a quid, and for those looking for healthier options, easy peelers are 99p and a kilo of carrots is 55p. He revealed that curry boxes, a great alternative to a takeaway, are a mere £6.25, and 2kg of chicken drumsticks are priced at £3.75. For pizza lovers, Dr Oetker Suprema pizzas are down to £3 from £5 with a Clubcard. He also highlighted that Soreen is currently a pound, grapes are £1.60, and pears are £1.20. Cat owners are also in luck, as Felix wet food pouches are currently £9.95! So while you're stocking up for Christmas, don't forget about your furry friend's meals. Do bear in mind that different stores may have different deals, but if you're near a Tesco, it's worth popping in! You might just snag yourself a bargain!

British family who ditched UK say Christmas is 'much better' for kids in Spain

Lots of people dream of leaving the UK, and moving to a country that boasts a lot more sunshine, and one family did just that, despite there being great differences in culture. One surprising difference they have noticed is just how much better Christmas is in Spain , based on their experiences. Previously, they shared a video explaining just why this is the case on TikTok , and people have been left stunned by their explanation. Known as the Chaplin family online, the mum detailed just how much better the festive season is for families at the popular tourist spot, and the reasons why may leave you surprised. She's one of many expats who document their lives abroad online, with many also sharing personal tales of life in the sun. One person previously opened up about a city they uncovered while exploring an area that turned out to be a total "hidden gem." In a video speaking about their experiences last year, she said: "So, one of the key differences about Christmas in Spain in comparison to the UK is that there is just tons of free stuff to do with the kids here. So, the amount of things that we have done over Christmas have just been unbelievable. "We have paid either very little, or nothing, to do it. So, for example, we've had the Santa parade, we've met Santa, we are going to go and meet one of the three kings. There's a three kings parade. "We've also done some jumping on a snow globe, like bouncy castle trampoline. We've been to see the Grinch. That wasn't free, but it cost us €24.00 (£20.86) for the four of us. "We went to a kids' celebration for new year's eve, and at these things you tend to get free stuff, because it all sort of adds to the event. So, whether that is like a lightsaber that you can wave around, or some sweets or something else that just helps to complement the event. "There's also the enchanted wood just near where we live, which is like a lights event. If we'd have done all these events in the UK, it could have cost us hundreds of pounds. It's just one of those things that makes Christmas so special, whilst not spending a ton of money." Last year, she said the family had an amazing time, and she feels that Spain works to help put families first. In her opinion, it really allows families to enjoy their time together at what is a special time of year for many. Hundreds of people have viewed the video since it was shared, with many being quick to comment. People's views were quite varied. One person said: "I have a house in Costa Blanca. I love Christmas here, [and] cannot wait to move out permanently. Well done you for making a better life for your family." Another added: "We much prefer Christmas in Spain." A third replied: "I'm Spanish and living in the UK. I do love Christmas here, but I miss the three kings night. Other than that, I think the UK does a really good job too." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Happy to know you like Spain. Also, I have the UK in my heart as I spent 10 years of my life there. God bless." According to reports, in 2024, average Christmas spending in the UK was predicted to be around £600 to £700 per person, though some housesholds were said to have spent over £1,800. However, spending can often differ every year, as it can depend on individual circumstances, with typical expenses including gifts, food and travel, and people typically spending a lot more in December in comparison to other months. In Spain, the average family's Christmas spending was predicted to be around €520 (£451.96) per person in 2024. Here, it's claimed food tends to be the largest expenditure.

Victoria Beckham's hidden health battle and massive net worth with husband David

Victoria Beckham's new Netflix documentary was released in the UK on Thursday morning, with the three-part series seeing the former Spice Girl and fashion entrepreneur tell her story, two years after her husband David released his own project with the streaming giant. Across three episodes, viewers are taken behind the scenes as the 51-year-old looks back over her pop career, fashion empire and family life, charting the many highs and lows of a life played out in the public eye. As part of the biggest girl groups of all time, Victoria had already achieved fame before her marriage to former Manchester United and England captain David, but it propelled her to superstardom, becoming one of the most recognisable and influential women in the world as part of the so-called 'Brand Beckham'. Having launched her own fashion label and beauty brand, in addition to music royalties, publishing deals and other ventures and investments, it is no surprise that Victoria has accumulated a vast personal fortune since first rising to fame as 'Posh Spice' in the 1990s. Once you combine her own wealth with that of her husband - who once held the title of the world's highest-paid footballer - the Beckham's total net worth is an eye-watering £500 million , according to the 2025 Sunday Times Rich List . While David's football career, endorsement deals and ownership of MLS side Inter Miami has contributed to much of the couple's total wealth, Victoria's ventures and their combined brand power has also boosted it considerably. However, in the documentary, she opens up on a "dark, dark time" when her fashion brand was on the brink of closure, having reported losses of £66million. The financial pressure she was under saw her become forced to rely on money from David to bail her out, before the former United star then refused to continue funnelling money into the business. "I almost lost everything, and that was a dark, dark time," Victoria said. "I used to cry before I went to work every day because I felt like a firefighter. We were tens of millions in the red. "Yes, I'm going home to my husband, but I'm also going home to my business partner. And so I would talk to him about it. I had to. He was invested. And I hated it. I absolutely hated it." Recalling the discussions that "broke" his heart, David said: "She was a lot richer than me. She actually bought our first house in Hertfordshire, known as Beckingham Palace. "So for her to have to come to me and say, 'Can I have some - we need some more money. The business needs more money,' that was hard for both of us because I didn't have the money to keep doing this, and eventually I was like, 'This cannot continue.'" Victoria was ultimately able to turn around her brand's fortunes, but the documentary also sees her open up about a lifelong battle with her health, as she detailed her experiences with an eating disorder. Discussing her life and career in the public eye, she recalls criticism of her appearance in the media, and the moment she was weighed on TV to see if she had 'lost the baby weight' six months after giving birth to her first son, Brooklyn. While she laughed at the time, Victoria admitted the experience "hurt" as she began to control her weight in "an incredibly unhealthy way". "We laugh about it and we joke about it when we’re on television. But I was really, really young, and that hurts,” she said. “I really started to doubt myself and not like myself, and because I let it affect me, I didn’t know what I saw when I looked in the mirror ... you lose all sense of reality. I’m just very critical of myself. I didn’t like what I saw. “I could control it with the clothing," she added. "I could control my weight and I was controlling it in an incredibly unhealthy way ... it really affects you when you’re being told constantly you’re not good enough.” “When you have an eating disorder, you become very good at lying. I was never honest about it with my parents. I never talked about it publicly. It really affects you that you’re being told you’re constantly not good enough. And that’s been with me my whole life.”
