IND-W Vs BAN-W, Women’s World Cup 2025: Live Streaming, TV Info & Match Timing

Harmanpreet Kaur’s India will wrap up the league stage of the Women’s World Cup with a clash against neighbours Bangladesh, at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy ground in Navi Mumbai, with the subcontinental clash bringing an end to the almost month-long affair. India will face Australia in the second semifinal at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. The seven-time champions bagged the top spot on the points table after thrashing South Africa in their final league game on Saturday, October 25, while India’s victory over Bangladesh would not affect their fourth-place finish. Even with a victory over Bangladesh, India can reach a maximum of eight points, which will still leave them behind third-placed England, who have nine points and could extend their tally to 11 with a win against New Zealand on Sunday, October 26. With their tournament hopes on the line, India fired on all cylinders to overcome New Zealand and bag a semifinal berth in a rain-affected game that, for them, did not push their limits. India capitalised on the favourable batting conditions early on, posting 340/3 in 49 overs thanks to hundreds from openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal before rain intervened. Star batter Jemimah Rodrigues added the much-needed momentum at No. 3 with a quick unbeaten 76. Bangladesh’s World Cup campaign came to an end after they fell short of nine runs in the final over against Sri Lanka in a tense clash at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium a few days ago, despite valiant efforts from Shorna Akter (3/27), skipper Nigar Sultana (77) and Sharmin Akhter (64*). Kendrick Perkins Shares How One Kevin Garnett Lesson Defined the Celtics’ Championship Culture

Winning an NBA championship takes a lot more than skills and hard work. Playing 82 games in the regular season, followed by the best-of-7 playoff run, demands routine and consistency. From Larry Bird to LeBron James to Stephen Curry, every champion can attest to that. But cultivating a routine is easier said than done. Kevin Garnett understood that when he helped the Boston Celtics capture the NBA championship in 2008. Kendrick Perkins, who played an equally important role in that squad, saw firsthand how Garnett rose up as a team leader and inspired a squad of superstars to sacrifice for the greater good. Garnett also emphasized the importance of process, the need to get the everyday details right, knowing it would pay off in the long run. Perkins appeared on the Out the Mud podcast yesterday, where he discussed everything Garnett brought to the outfit, both on and off the court. “He taught the locker room that routine… KG had me on some s*** like, where I woke up at the same time every day. I [went] to the gym at the same time every day. I ate at the same time. Got my ankles taped at the same time. Most importantly, though, he taught a m*********, the sacrifice,” Perkins revealed. “He clearly was the best player on our team,” Perkins stated, adding, “Paul [Pierce] was then truth. Ray [Allen] was Jesus. KG, best all-around player. He was him,” asserted Perkins, still in awe of Garnett’s abilities. The star center went on to reveal that it was Garnett who advised head coach Doc Rivers to make Paul Pierce and Ray Allen the Celtics’ primary scorers. “‘Hey Doc, I am going to hold this paint down. If you need me, I am here,'” Perkins remembers KG telling Rivers. “That was it! That was the sacrifice. Set the tone, like ‘hey, no, what I am trying to accomplish, the reason that I am here is bigger than the whole team, it’s bigger than myself.’ Once he set that bar, everybody else had to fall in line,” Perkins added. The idea was to be on the same page, to function as one team with a single goal. They even had matching haircuts that made them indistinguishable! Clearly, it worked out, as they went on to win the NBA title in 2008! The Celtics will hope they can find a leader like Garnett to rally behind and perhaps replicate the success this season.

Adam Wharton reveals how he plans to take on former team-mate Eberechi Eze as Arsenal star prepares to face old side Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton has revealed how he plans to keep a lid on Eberechi Eze as the newly minted Arsenal star prepares for his first meeting with his former side. England international Eze was at the centre of a transfer bidding storm over the summer as Tottenham battled with their north London rivals in the war for securing his signature. In the end, the former Gunners academy prospect plumped for an emotional return to his boyhood club, who had released him at the age of 13. Eze has since enjoyed a promising start to his time at the Emirates, contributing three assists in his 10 appearances for the club, and will look to continue his new side's fine Premier League run against Palace on Sunday afternoon. But Oliver Glasner's side's visit to north London may not be without pitfalls for Eze, with his old team-mates already plotting to use their insider information in a bid to disappoint him on the day. Wharton, who has similarly become part of Thomas Tuchel's England plans in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup, shared in an interview that was well aware of the threat Eze presented, and noted that there was one thing he wouldn't be trying against the 27-year-old. 'Don't dive in!' Wharton told Jamie Redknapp for Sky Sports. 'Let him make the first move and I can react off that, that's probably the best move.' 'Hopefully he doesn't watch this before,' the 21-year-old added pointedly. As well as Eze is thought of by Wharton, the feeling is mutual, with Eze sharing via Redknapp in the interview that he believes the midfielder is wise beyond his years. 'An incredible player to play with, he's very calm and composed,' Eze said of Wharton. For someone so young, he's very mature, and very wise. 'When you speak to him it feels like you're speaking to someone older than you'. Glasner & Co will be looking to get back to winning ways against the Premier League leaders, having lost in Europe mid-week against Cypriot outfit AEK Larnaca. But Eze will look to pour cold water on Palace's plans to spoil their reunion, and show his former team what they're missing. The player spoke of his heartfelt decision to move to Arsenal over Tottenham on the eve of the match, speaking in detail about how 'special' it was to make his debut for the club earlier this season. 'I was prepared to go to Tottenham, but from the moment Arsenal came, it was always going to be them,' Eze told the Athletic. 'My first (senior) Arsenal game was special. It almost didn't feel real because it's something I've been dreaming of for a long time. 'Playing for Arsenal from eight to 13, it's been in the back of my mind wanting to go back. It felt like the realisation of a dream.

Shubman Gill Reveals Plans For Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli's Future: 'How To Keep The Players In...'

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will need substantial game time moving forward since they now play only one format. However, the decision on how to keep these white-ball legends in rhythm will be made after the South Africa ODI series concludes, said skipper Shubman Gill on Saturday. Kohli and Rohit ended the ODI series on a high note, scoring unbeaten 74 and 121 respectively, contributing to the team’s emphatic nine-wicket victory in the final match against Australia. When asked if he had discussed the month-long gap between the South Africa series and the next series against New Zealand, followed by another seven-week gap, Gill responded negatively. “We haven’t talked about it yet. But I think once South Africa (ODI) series is over (on December 6), there will be a gap in international cricket before the New Zealand ODI series (January 11, 2026). So I think then we will see how to keep the players in touch. Then I think a decision will be taken,” Gill said at the post-match press conference. With only six more ODI games left for the season — three against South Africa and three against New Zealand — game time remains an issue. Rohit and Kohli’s next international assignment involves one-dayers against South Africa on November 30, December 3, and 6, followed by ODI matches against New Zealand starting January 11. From December 24, the Vijay Hazare Trophy (National One Dayers) will begin, and both are expected to play a few games for their respective teams. ‘Treat To Watch’ For young skipper Gill, watching 38-year-old Rohit and 36-year-old Kohli finish a clinical chase was a visual delight. “They’ve been doing this for the past 15 years. To be able to watch them play like this and get the team through unbeaten is really a treat to watch,” Gill said, emphasising that “as a player, there were no doubts” about the duo’s ability to perform. “As a captain, when you sit outside and watch the match, it feels really good that the two senior-most players of the team are playing, and they’re getting the team through.” Just hearing the duo hit the ball is an experience for a young player who grew up watching them. “I think, like I said, it’s a treat to watch both of them, especially when they’re batting like that, and seeing the ball fly off their bats, and just hearing the sound that comes off their bat is something, you know, that tells you how good a nick that they’re both in.” "It's a treat to watch both of them bat like that!" ? Us, #ShubmanGill, us! ? pic.twitter.com/7ySnEgmxSh — Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) October 25, 2025 Gill also mentioned how they executed what is often discussed in team meetings — if a player is set, he should finish the game. “Watching them from outside and taking the team through is something that we often talk about in team meetings. They are walking the talk, so it’s a great bonus for us.” (With inputs from PTI)

Ranji Trophy 2025: Delhi Batters Make Merry On Homecoming Against Toothless Himachal Attack

Delhi carried their rich batting form from Hyderabad into Kotla, dictating terms in the clash against Himachal Pradesh in the second round of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 on Saturday. Four of Delhi’s top five batters – Arpit Rana, Sanat Sangwan, Yash Dhull and Ayush Doseja – notched up fifties. However, their homecoming could have been sweeter if Dhull and Sangwan had not thrown away their wickets. At the end of the day, the hosts posted a commanding 306/4 on a pitch that offered little to the bowlers. With his place under scrutiny, opener Arpit Rana responded in style – batting fearlessly and cashing in on every scoring opportunity that came his way. He smashed his maiden first-class half-century, scoring 64 off 110 – his best score after five Ranji matches for Delhi. Arpit showed no mercy on the likes of Vaibhav Arora and Arpit Guleria but fell prey to Divesh Sharma after lunch. Rana’s dismissal made way for Dhull, whose dynamic approach provided the extra push to the Delhi innings after lunch. The latter batted with intent, scoring a quick 61 off 66 deliveries with the help of 11 fours. Dhull’s aggression kept Delhi on top, but his dismissal triggered a brief wobble, as skipper Ayush Badoni followed soon after, edging a loose drive off Arora to first slip. Meanwhile, Sangwan anchored the innings for most of the first day’s play. His 79 off 170 balls was the glue that held the innings together, a composed effort that contrasted sharply with the more fluent strokeplay of his partners. Fresh from scores of 211* and 56 against Hyderabad, Sangwan continued his purple patch with another composed innings that underlined his role as the side’s most reliable performer early in the Ranji season. While others around him preferred flair, Sangwan’s textbook defence and patience provided the stability Delhi needed to post a strong total. “We actually wanted to bowl first since there was a bit of grass and movement early on. Once we were put in, the plan was simple – survive the new ball and build from there. I’ve always been a defensive player, but I’ve added more back-foot options this season, which helps me stay solid,” Sangwan said after the stumps. The pitch looked unlike the usual Kotla track, with a fair amount of grass on top, suggesting early assistance for the pacers. Himachal pacer Divesh Sharma made the best use of the condition to trick Sangwan in the 67th over. Sharma dug in short, but it hardly took off as Sangwan ducked with his bat held awkwardly, only to nick to skipper Ankush Bains behind the wickets. While Delhi’s batters could not quite convert their starts into big centuries, the depth in their lineup made up for it. An unbeaten 71-run partnership between Ayush Doseja – continuing his rich form after a double hundred on debut and Sahil Mathur helped the hosts tighten their grip heading into day two. Brief Scores: Delhi 306/4 (Arpit Rana 64, Sanat Sangwan 79, Yash Dhull 61, Ayush Doseja 51 batting; Divesh Sharma 2/42) vs HP.
