NFL Makes Jordan Love Announcement Before Packers-Panthers

The Green Bay Packers edged out a 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers during a high-profile Week 8 “Sunday Night Football” matchup over the weekend, showing that Green Bay has an MVP-level quarterback in Jordan Love, who out-dueled former Packers legend Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers. Now, Love is getting some recognition for his massive game against the Steelers. Love was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his showing during Sunday’s win. This marks the third time Love has earned the award. Previously, he received the honor during Weeks 17 and 18 of the 2023 season. During the Packers’ riveting comeback win over Pittsburgh, Love completed 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions to earn a career-high passer rating of 134.2. He also tied Brett Favre’s 18-year-old franchise record, notching 20 straight completions from the second quarter to the fourth quarter. Before the showdown, Love’s career best was 11 straight completions, according to NFL research. (Photo by Cooper Neill/Getty Images) “I thought it was really impressive because he was making some high-level throws down the field,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur on Monday regarding Love’s stellar showing, according to the team’s official website. “We were pushing the ball from early on in the game down the field. We didn’t connect on a couple of those, but I thought all in all, he did a great job. “He was in complete command of the game, made a couple of off-schedules. He played really, really well.” The milestones don’t end there. According to the Packers, Love is the first quarterback in franchise history to reach a bevy of marks in one game: 350-plus passing yards, three-plus passing TDs, zero interceptions, zero sacks, 75-plus completion percentage and 9.5-plus yards per attempt. Love also joined Rodgers and Favre (twice) as the sole Green Bay quarterbacks with 350-plus passing yards, no interceptions and no sacks in a single game. A lot of it is just saying good luck throughout the season. A-Rod texted me and was talking about some of the plays we’d run and some of my footwork, things like that, complimenting me, so obviously it’s great to be able to hear from him.” The Packers’ next game is Sunday, Nov. 2 against the Carolina Panthers. Turning Point USA Tour: List of Events, Speakers Set to Honor Charlie Kirk

Vice President JD Vance is set to appear tonight at the University of Mississippi for a Turning Point USA event honoring slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The visit marks the first stop on the “This Is the Turning Point” campus tour, led by Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, who will introduce Vance before a student Q&A session modeled after her husband’s signature style. What Is Turning Point USA? Turning Point USA is a conservative nonprofit student organization founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk and Bill Montgomery. The group says its mission is to identify, educate and organize students to promote principles of free markets, limited government and individual liberty. Over the past decade, it has become a major force in conservative youth politics through its campus chapters, media network and national events. Supporters see it as a counterweight to liberal bias in higher education, while critics accuse it of fueling polarization and controversy through its tactics and messaging. Turning Point USA Tour: Full List of Stops Turning Point USA’s “This Is the Turning Point Tour” features a series of campus events across the country this fall. Future stops include Auburn University on November 5, and the University of California, Berkeley on November 10. The tour’s organizers say additional stops may be announced. The series is designed to engage students on issues such as free speech, conservative values and activism on college campuses. Erika Kirk wipes her eyes as a military aide reads the citation before President Donald Trump posthumously awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom to her late husband Charlie Kirk in the Rose Garden of the White House, Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, in Washington. (AP Photo/Mark Schiefelbein) Who Is Speaking at the Turning Point USA Events? The “This Is The Turning Point Tour” boasts a robust lineup of prominent conservative speakers and public figures. Among the high-profile names set to appear are media personalities Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, biotech entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, and governors Glenn Youngkin of Virginia and Greg Gianforte of Montana. The tour also features actor-comedians Russell Brand and Rob Schneider, Christian author Frank Turek, commentator Allie Beth Stuckey, and other well-known conservative voices — including like Michael Knowles and Glenn Beck. These events are billed as opportunities for students to engage directly with leading figures in the conservative movement and participate in what TPUSA calls the “Prove Me Wrong” debate format. The organization says the tour aims to equip young conservatives with the tools to challenge prevailing campus narratives and promote free market and limited-government ideas. When Was Charlie Kirk Shot? Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The shooting occurred during an event on his “American Comeback Tour” and sparked national outrage over political violence. Witnesses said Kirk was struck in the upper body as he addressed the crowd. The attack remains under investigation, and political leaders across the spectrum have condemned the killing. Where Did Charlie Kirk Go to College? Charlie Kirk briefly attended Harper College, a community college in Palatine, Illinois, before leaving to focus full time on political activism. He was accepted to Baylor University but chose instead to grow Turning Point USA, which he founded at age 18. Kirk later took online courses at King’s College in New York but did not complete a degree. Despite not finishing college, he became one of the most visible young conservative figures in the country.

Democratic congressional candidate indicted in anti-ICE protest that turned violent in Illinois

A Democratic congressional candidate in Illinois has been indicted on federal charges relating to an incident in which protesters allegedly attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle outside a Chicago suburb facility last month. Katherine "Kat" Abughazaleh, 26, who has branded herself a "Gen Z influencer" running for Congress in Illinois’s 9th District, is accused of conspiracy to impede or injure an ICE officer while on duty in Broadview, Illinois, Sept. 26, according to an indictment unsealed Wednesday. Abughazaleh had been expected to win the Democratic nomination to succeed Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., 81, who is retiring. Five other protesters were also indicted with Abughazaleh, including one of her associates and two other political candidates. DHS RIPS ‘DISHONEST, DESPERATE’ GEN Z CANDIDATE WHO RAGED AGAINST KRISTI NOEM’S 'CRIMES’ AT ANTI-ICE PROTEST The defendants include Andre Martin, described in the indictment as an associate who worked for or with her; Michael Rabbit, a Democratic committee person in Chicago’s 45th Ward; Catherine Sharp, a candidate for the Cook County Board of Commissioners; and Brian Straw and Joselyn Walsh, who are listed as Illinois residents. According to the indictment, a group of individuals surrounded a government vehicle with "intent to hinder or impede" operations by "aggressively" banging and pushing the car. The protesters allegedly etched derogatory messages including the word "PIG" into the car, broke a side mirror and damaged a rear windshield wiper. The indictment also alleges that Abughazaleh moved to the front of the government vehicle during the confrontation, pressing her hands against the hood and using her body to block its path. "No one is above the law, and no one has the right to obstruct it," Todd Blanche, deputy attorney general, said in a statement Wednesday. "The Department of Justice will never tolerate such conduct and will continue to hold accountable anyone who seeks to impede lawful federal operations." "All federal officials must be able to discharge the duties of their office without confronting force, intimidation or threats," Andrew S. Boutros, United States attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, added in a statement Wednesday. "As we have warned repeatedly, we will seek to hold accountable those who cross the line from peaceful protests to unlawful actions or conspiracies that interrupt, hinder or impede the due administration of Justice." ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED AFTER RAMMING BORDER PATROL IN CHICAGO AMID VIOLENT CLASH WITH PROTESTERS Abughazaleh responded to the charges in a post on X Wednesday, claiming she is being targeted for exercising her First Amendment rights. "This is a political prosecution and a gross attempt at silencing dissent, a right protected under the First Amendment," Abughazaleh said. "This case is yet another attempt by the Trump administration to criminalize protest and punish those who dare to speak up. That’s why I’m going to fight these unjust charges." The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge April Perry, who is also presiding over a separate case involving President Donald Trump’s efforts to deploy the National Guard to Chicago. Perry had previously blocked the deployment of troops, saying there was no evidence of a "danger of rebellion" in the state after the Trump administration had requested an emergency stay. ARCHITECT OF LA ICE RAIDS REPORTEDLY ARRIVES IN CHICAGO AS FOCUS SHIFTS TO WINDY CITY, AGENT'S HISTORY Protests at the ICE facility have recently thrust Abughazaleh into the spotlight, including an incident last month when an agent reportedly threw her to the ground, a moment that went viral on social media. The "Gen Z influencer" is a former video producer at the liberal watchdog Media Matters for America, which has developed a large TikTok following. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP Abughazaleh’s indictment comes shortly after another Democratic politician, Rep. LaMonica McIver D-N.J., was charged with assaulting ICE agents, underscoring an increase in cases involving political figures allegedly interfering with immigration enforcement. Eagles Linked to Surprising Trade for $51 Million Former Top Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles could definitely stand to add a pass rusher between now and the NFL trade deadline, as they have logged just 16 sacks on the season as a whole. That ranks toward the bottom of the league. Remember: the Eagles lost both Josh Sweat and Milton Williams during the offseason. They signed Za’Darius Smith as a possible replacement, but he abruptly retired five games into his Philadelphia career. On top of that, Nolan Smith is on the injured reserve list, further compounding the problem. Read more: Shedeur Sanders Hit With Harsh Reality Check Amid Bizarre Browns Decision There should be some good pass rushers available before Nov. 4, and we have already heard Philly floated as a destination for several of them. Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, Arden Key, etc. However, Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus has pitched a rather surprising potential trade target for the Eagles: New Orleans Saints edge rusher Chase Young. “The Saints re-signed Young to a three-year, $51 million deal this offseason, which wouldn’t make his trade odds especially high,” Locker wrote. “At the same time, he’s one of few bright spots on a roster dotted with long-term question marks and could net solid draft compensation. Young feels within range for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, who always swings for the fences.” PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – OCTOBER 26: Head coach Nick Sirianni of the Philadelphia Eagles reacts against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field on October 26, 2025 in Philadelphia, United States. The chances of New Orleans actually moving Young seem slim, but perhaps the Saints can be convinced if a team makes a strong enough offer. The Eagles are stocked with 2026 draft picks, so they may be able to put together an enticing trade package for the former No. 2 overall pick. Young missed the first five games of 2025 with a calf injury but has since returned to log eight tackles, a couple of sacks and three passes defended in three contests. Injuries have always been an issue for the 26-year-old, who was originally drafted by the Washington Commanders in 2020 but didn’t even make it through his rookie contract before being dealt to the San Francisco 49ers midway through 2023. Read more: Chiefs Predicted to Swing Trade That Would Rock the NFL Landscape Young topped out at 7.5 sacks twice, first doing so during his debut campaign and then achieving the feat again in 2023. Last year, he managed 31 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 21 quarterback hits in 17 games for New Orleans. Is the Ohio State product the player everyone thought he would be? No, but he is still young and has the potential to develop, and he would absolutely represent an upgrade for the Eagles. Celebrity Traitors breakthrough as first traitor banished after heated roundtable

The Celebrity Traitors has seen a major breakthrough as the faithful caught their first traitor on Wednesday night’s episode. TV presenter Jonathan Ross was banished after a heated roundtable discussion. His fellow contestants looked horrified when he teased them as he stood up to leave the Celebrity Traitors. But they erupted into jubilant cheers when he finally revealed he was a traitor. The 64-year-old said: “I’ve got no idea what everyone’s doing wrong? I cannot believe you’ve done it again. I cannot believe that I’m standing here for no good reason. “So I don’t want to be rude, but you’re idiots. “But I’m not judging because it’s fiendish. So I am not blaming the players. I’m blaming the game “I am now, and I have been all through the game, completely faithful… to the traitors.” Claudia Winkleman congratulated the players but revealed that tonight’s episode was the last where the banished player would announce whether they are a faithful or traitor before they leave the show. Ross received six of the eight votes at the roundtable, including two from his fellow traitors, with the charge against him led by former rugby player Joe Marler. Later, it was revealed that the two remaining traitors, comedian Alan Carr and singer Cat Burns, would have to conduct their next “murder” in plain sight. One traitor would have to toast the player they want to murder while saying: “Parting is such sweet sorrow”, followed by the victim’s name. Comedian Lucy Beaumont was “murdered” at the start of Wednesday’s episode of the BBC One reality gameshow in the first face-to-face killing. On seeing the traitors, Beaumont, 42, said: “Oh my God. My God. Oh, I hope you feel terrible about yourselves. Beaumont said after being murdered: “I’ve totally let my emotions cloud things and not wanting to believe that because I’ve built up a friendship with somebody that they’re not capable of doing it. “There was an element of like real shock and feeling quite betrayed, and also like a relief.” Carr, 49, said: “Murdering face to face was so harsh, and so raw. “I feel like the Grim Reaper.” The players were elated earlier in the show when they banked the full £10,000 up for grabs in the challenge. Contestants paired up, with one half of each duo crossing a rickety bridge over a river with the other cheering them on. They earned £500 for each checkpoint the passed on the bridge. Some 19 players have been whittled down to seven so far through murders and banishments. Since the UK version began in 2022, millions of fans have watched The Traitors on the BBC and it has picked up a Bafta TV Award for best reality and constructed factual programme, and best entertainment performance for host Winkleman. The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

Vikings' JJ McCarthy Shares Strong Message Ahead of Week 9 Return

Minnesota Vikings second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy is set to return as the team’s starter for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 2. Naturally, Vikings fans are growing quite eager to see what McCarthy can do with an extended period of play at the NFL level. Fortunately, barring any future injuries for McCarthy, the young signal caller will now have a chance to take control under center moving forward. On Wednesday, McCarthy practiced in full for the first time since his injury. As a result, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said that he has seen enough from his second-year quarterback for him to officially name him the team’s Week 9 starter against the Lions. I feel like I have those mobility things that I was concerned about going into last week and the prior weeks. So yeah, ready to go.” Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell said there is nothing left for J.J. 'Heartbroken' district offers counseling in wake Taconic High School student’s death

PITTSFIELD — Crisis counselors are on hand to provide support to Taconic High School students and staff in the wake of a student's death last weekend. "We are heartbroken by the recent loss of one of our students and extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and all who are grieving," interim Superintendent Latifah Phillips said in a statement. Brodie Slonski, a 17-year-old senior at Taconic High School, was shot on Sunday in Pittsfield, and his death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Berkshire District Attorney's Office. Slonski was found dead behind the wheel of a car after it crashed into a tree near Parker Avenue about 6:15 p.m., officials said. The shooting remains under investigation, and a spokesperson for the DA's Office said no arrests had been made as of Wednesday evening. "We know this loss deeply affects many in our schools and throughout the community," Phillips said. "Counselors and staff are available across all of our schools to provide care and resources for students and staff who may need additional support." In a message to the school community, Taconic High School Principal Matt Bishop said counseling and emotional support are being made available to help students and staff process the tragedy. “This loss deeply impacts our Taconic community," he said. "Our crisis response team is providing counseling and support for students and staff, and these services will continue to be available.” He said families should reach out if they need additional support. "We encourage families to talk with their children about this loss — your comfort and reassurance mean a great deal," Bishop said. "Keeping regular routines can also help provide stability during this difficult time." Slonski was a senior at Taconic, where he took part in the metal fabrication program, a field he aimed to pursue after graduation, family members told The Eagle. He enjoyed baseball and basketball when he was younger, and had played on the school's golf and bowling teams in past years. As a member of Taconic High School’s bowling team, he was among the students listed in an official recognition by Pittsfield Mayor Peter Marchetti for winning the 2024 Massachusetts State Bowling High School Division II championship. More recently he was employed at Subway, where he was poised for a promotion to manager upon turning 18.

Celtic thrash Falkirk as Martin O’Neill celebrates winning return

Martin O'Neill celebrated his Celtic homecoming with a thumping 4-0 win over Falkirk at Parkhead. The 73-year-old former Hoops manager was installed along with ex-Celtic player Shaun Maloney as the interim management team following the stunning resignation of Brendan Rodgers on Monday night. Celtic fans continued their protest against Dermot Desmond, the club's major shareholder, and the board outside the stadium before the game due, in part, to a perceived poor summer transfer window. The influential Desmond sat in the directors' box and watched fellow Irishman Johnny Kenny shoot Celtic into the lead after half an hour and then head in a second 10 minutes later before goals from midfielder Benjamin Nygren and wide-man Sebastian Tounekti in the second half increased the fun factor. Celtic moved six points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts, who drew 2-2 at St Mirren, and remain five ahead of Rangers who won 1-0 at Hibernian. The Hoops meet the Light Blues in Sunday's Premier Sports Cup semi-final at Hampden Park, where O'Neill managed his last game for Celtic in his first spell - the 2005 Scottish Cup final win over Dundee United. The Parkhead fans, while still disgruntled with the Hoops hierarchy, will go into the game more assured by O'Neill's impact on a side who looked closer to their best form. O'Neill, who was Parkhead boss between 2000 and 2005, was given a rousing reception from the home fans and soon had to thank goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for denying returning Bairns midfielder Scott Arfield. However, the home side slowly began to get up a head of steam. Scott Bain, the former Celtic keeper, made a fine save at the feet of Nygren in the 28th minute but the home side kept the pressure up and when Bain touched a drive from Nygren on to a post, 22-year-old striker Kenny was on hand to return the rebound into the net. Schmeichel made a fine save from Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi as John McGlynn's men fought back. Moments later, however, Bain had to dive smartly to his left to beat away an effort from James Forrest but he had no chance when Nygren re-directed an Anthony Ralston delivery back across goal for Kenny to head in from eight yards. Kenny began the second half by blazing a shot over the bar with only Bain to beat. The keeper looked at fault when he parried a shot from Marcelo Saracchi out to Nygren who fired into the net for the easiest of goals just before the hour, allowing the home side to cruise. Japan striker Daizen Maeda, recovered from a hamstring injury, took over from Kenny, providing another boost for the home fans, who cheered again when Tounekti raced clear of the Bairns defence to smash in a fourth, with time for 19-year-old forward Callum Osmand, signed from Fulham in the summer, to come on to make his debut on a night when the supporters enjoyed O'Neill rolling back the years.

49ers' Kyle Shanahan Addresses Trade Rumors Involving Dynamic WR

Sitting at 5-3 with less than a week before the NFL trade deadline, the San Francisco 49ers have already been active in making moves to put themselves in the best position to contend this season. After bringing in third-year pass rusher Keion White in a trade with the New England Patriots on Tuesday, most expect the 49ers to continue buying at the deadline. Despite adding players, 49ers star receiver Jauan Jennings has been rumored to potentially be a player who could be expendable for San Francisco. In particular, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler listed Jennings as a “player to watch” in a recent trade deadline report. Fowler’s report was shortly followed by Jennings deactivating his Instagram page, which led some to believe that the rumors about the fifth-year wideout potentially being on the trading block may have some validity. SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA – OCTOBER 19: Jauan Jennings #15 of the San Francisco 49ers runs onto the field before the NFL 2025 game between Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on October 19, 2025 in Santa Clara, California. (Photo by Lachlan Cunningham/Getty Images) More news: Commanders Reveal Major Update on Terry McLaurin’s Injury Setback On Wednesday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed the speculation surrounding Jennings’ status ahead of the trade deadline, making it clear that he expects Jennings to be in San Francisco through the remainder of the 2025 season. “I would be very surprised if Jauan wasn’t on our team throughout this year,” said Shanahan. Shanahan speaking about Jauan right now: "I would be very surprised if Jauan wasn't on our team throughout this year." https://t.co/gRNckT6ANh— Clayton Holloway (@HollowayNFLN) October 29, 2025 More news: Bengals’ Zac Taylor Shares Encouraging Update on Joe Burrow Shanahan still seems confident in Jennings returning to form shortly, as he continues to battle through a rib injury, saying that he believes he has seen improvement as of late from Jennings. Shanahan also said Jauan Jennings has been "compromised" health-wise but is starting to improve there (we know Jennings has been dealing with 5 broken ribs).Larger point: 49ers have also been compromised with WR availability. JJ fills key role with Pearsall/Aiyuk still out https://t.co/fNd4NbmVSC— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) October 29, 2025 Thus far this season, San Francisco’s wide receiver room has dealt with a number of significant injuries that have limited the team’s offensive potential. Ricky Pearsall and Jennings have both missed time this season due to injury, and Brandon Aiyuk has yet to make his season debut. The 49ers trading Jennings would only further damage their already banged-up wide receiver room. So it’s not exactly surprising to hear Shanahan come out and say that the veteran wideout will likely remain with the team. If anything, San Francisco could very well be in the market to add a wide receiver at the deadline, given their injuries at the position. With that in mind, Week 9 could certainly be a crucial one for Jennings to maintain his role on offense and prove that his health is indeed trending in the right direction. Donald Trump Makes Nuclear Submarine Deal with South Korea

The United States will share nuclear-powered submarine technology with South Korea, President Donald Trump said Thursday, marking a potentially historic expansion of military cooperation between the two allies. Trump announced the move on social media following his meeting Wednesday with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in Seoul. Lee told reporters that the discussion focused on modernizing the U.S.-South Korea alliance and ensuring a fairer defense burden. He said the agreement centered on access to nuclear fuel technology for submarines, not nuclear weapons. Equipping South Korea with nuclear-powered submarines, Lee said, would strengthen regional security and enhance cooperation with U.S. naval operations in the Pacific. Why It Matters The sharing of nuclear submarine technology represents a major policy shift for Washington, which has long guarded such information as among its most classified military secrets. Even under the AUKUS agreement with Britain and Australia, the United States did not directly transfer nuclear submarine know-how to its partners. President Donald Trump shakes hands with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung as he receives a gift of a gold crown and an award of the Grand Order of Mugunghwa, not seen, during a high honor ceremony at the Gyeongju National Museum in Gyeongju, South Korea, Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025. (AP Photo/Mark Schiefelbein) U.S. defense officials have previously cautioned that any transfer of nuclear propulsion technology would require significant safeguards and congressional review. What To Know Trump said in a separate post that the submarine would be built at the Philly Shipyard, which South Korea’s Hanwha Group purchased last year. The size and cost of the project were not immediately clear, though South Korea has already pledged $150 billion to boost U.S. shipbuilding capacity as part of broader defense industry investment talks. The submarine announcement was part of South Korea’s announced $350 billion investment in the American economy following a day of negotiations and formal ceremonies. The events included Lee presenting President Trump with a gold medal and crown, gestures of goodwill as the two leaders worked to secure financial commitments during the final stop of Trump’s trip to Asia. South Korean Trade Minister Kim Yong-beom said Wednesday that the United States and South Korea agreed to maintain reciprocal tariffs at 15%, the same rate applied since August. The two nations also decided to extend that rate to automobiles and auto parts — South Korea’s top exports to the U.S. — which had previously faced a 25% tariff, disadvantaging automakers such as Hyundai and Kia against Japanese and European rivals. Trump’s announcements with South Korea comes ahead of his planned meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and follows North Korea’s recent unveiling of a nuclear-powered submarine under construction. Pyongyang’s continued weapons development — including cruise missile tests reported Wednesday — has raised new security concerns in the region. Pentagon officials did not immediately respond to Associated Press requests for comment on Trump’s statement or confirm any formal agreement. What People Are Saying Trump said on Truth Social, “South Korea has agreed to pay the USA 350 Billion Dollars for a lowering of the Tariff’s charged against them by the United States. Additionally, they have agreed to buy our Oil and Gas in vast quantities, and investments into our Country by wealthy South Korean Companies and Businessmen will exceed 600 Billion Dollars. Our Military Alliance is stronger than ever before and, based on that, I have given them approval to build a Nuclear Powered Submarine, rather than the old fashioned, and far less nimble, diesel powered Submarines that they have now. A great trip, with a great President of South Korea!” Trump said in a separate post, “South Korea will be building its Nuclear Powered Submarine in the Philadelphia Shipyards, right here in the good ol’ U.S.A. Shipbuilding in our Country will soon be making a BIG COMEBACK. Stay tuned!!! President DJT” What Happens Next The move underscores Trump’s broader effort to realign alliances and counter growing Chinese and North Korean influence in the Indo-Pacific, while deepening South Korea’s role as a key defense and industrial partner. However, that won’t preclude Kiffin from asking for a better contract to stay with the program in 2026 or potentially seeking employment with a new school after the season. Per Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, Ole Miss has made “attempts” to give Kiffin a better deal, but the 50-year-old coach has decided to wait before signing a new contract extension with the program. “The fact that Kiffin hasn’t yet signed a new contract with OIe Miss (there have been attempts made from the university) is probably a good sign that this drama will continue to play out over the next few weeks or months and may even bleed into the Rebels’ potential run in the College Football Playoff,” Dellenger wrote. Kiffin is in a good position to wait to sign any offer from Ole Miss during the season. The LSU and Florida jobs don’t appear to be coming off the market anytime soon. The Rebels have a favorable schedule in November, playing no ranked teams for the remainder of the regular season. Ole Miss is tied with No. 5 Georgia for third place in the SEC and has an opportunity to rise and play for the conference championship on Dec. 6 if a few things go their way in the coming weeks. If Ole Miss makes the CFP, Kiffin could command an even greater salary than what the Rebels were prepared to offer him in-season. For more on the NCAA, head to Newsweek Sports.

Chelsea hold off Wolves in seven-goal thriller — but Liam Delap shown red on return from injury

Chelsea held off a second-half comeback against a spirited Wolves to book their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a 4-3 win. Enzo Maresca’s side, featuring 10 changes, looked like sweeping to a handsome victory as they coasted into a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to goals from Andrey Santos, Tyrique George and Estevao. The atmosphere was toxic at Molineux as the hosts’ miserable season looked to be hitting new lows, but Vitor Pereira’s men rallied after the break and launched a stirring comeback. Goals from Tolu Arokodare and David Moller Wolfe had Chelsea on the rack, but Jamie Gittens’ 90th minute strike seemed to have ensured Chelsea’s victory. However, Wolfe scored his second moments later as Wolves kept on pushing – but they could not find the leveller. Defeat ended their run in the only competition they have won a game in this season, but the manner of their second-half performance must give some hope ahead of a crunch Premier League match at Fulham on Saturday. For Chelsea, they move closer to another trophy under Maresca by reaching the last eight, although their night was soured by Liam Delap’s late red card for two bookings in the space of seven minutes. Pereira made 11 changes from Saturday’s damaging defeat to Burnley, which ended with the Portuguese arguing with fans, but it was the same old story as Chelsea needed just five minutes to go ahead. Arokodare’s lay-off was poor and Jamie Gittens nipped in and fed Santos, who advanced to the edge of the area and planted a shot into the bottom corner. It was 2-0 in the 15th minute and it was far too easy for the visitors. Facundo Buonanotte played in Gittens down the left, he raced past Matt Doherty and squared for George to tap in from three yards. The atmosphere turned sour as Wolves fans chanted against chairman Jeff Shi and Pereira. Wolves were masters of their own downfall as Chelsea made it 3-0 five minutes before the break. Playing out from the back, goalkeeper Jose Sa passed to Fer Lopez, who was tackled by Santos, allowing Estevao to close in on goal and scoop a delightful finish home. To their credit, the hosts came out with intensity in the second half and Arokodare fired a volley just wide, but he was celebrating in the 48th minute. Buonanotte gave the ball away, Hwang Hee Chan played in Arokodare and the striker produced a classy finish into the bottom corner. This was suddenly a different Wolves side and Arokodare could have reduced the deficit even further before the hour-mark but glanced a header just wide. The pressure mounted and the fightback did continue in the 73rd minute. Yerson Mosquera’s long throw made its way to the far post, where Wolfe fired a low shot into the bottom corner to make it 3-2. Chelsea were all at sea and they were reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute after substitute Delap’s comeback from injury was cut short for two yellow cards in the space of seven minutes. Gittens’ fine strike from 20 yards in the 89th minute, a looping volley that went in off the post, looked to have given Chelsea a cushion. But a breathless second half was given a grandstand finish when Wolfe clipped home in added-time to make it 4-3. Wolves could not find an equaliser but they were cheered off by supporters, in scenes that were a stark contrast to Saturday.

Comedian ‘shocked’ after first Celebrity Traitors face-to-face murder

Comedian Lucy Beaumont says she felt “shocked” and “betrayed” after becoming the first person to be ‘murdered’ face-to-face on the Celebrity Traitors. The traitors’ shortlist of potential victims had been teased last week when Beaumont, actor Nick Mohammed and broadcaster Kate Garraway were invited to meet host Claudia Winkleman at a giant chessboard in the dead of night. She was selected by the traitors, comedian Alan Carr, TV presenter Jonathan Ross and singer Cat Burns, who usually get to kill in secret. Seeing the green-cloaked killers for the first time, Beaumont said: “Oh, I hope you feel terrible about yourselves.” She was then handed a note telling her she had been murdered, while Garraway and Mohammed were greeted by Winkleman who let them know they were safe. Beaumont said later: “I’ve totally let my emotions cloud things and not wanting to believe that because I’ve built up a friendship with somebody that they’re not capable of doing it. “There was an element of like real shock and feeling quite betrayed, and also like a relief. Carr, 49, said: “Murdering face to face was so harsh, and so raw. “I feel like the Grim Reaper.” Some 19 players have been whittled down to eight so far through murders and banishments, with none of the three traitors yet being caught out by their fellow contestants.
