Cardinals QB Kyler Murray limited in practice once again ahead of Cowboys game

The Arizona Cardinals enter Week 9 uncertain about the status of quarterback Kyler Murray, who was limited in practice for the second straight day, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, ahead of Monday night’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Dealing with a toe and foot injury suffered in Week 5, Murray has missed the past two games and continued to work on a restricted basis this week. During Friday’s practice, backup Jacoby Brissett took the majority of first-team reps, throwing to top targets Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Trey McBride, while Murray primarily worked with reserve receivers such as Simi Fehoko and Xavier Weaver. Brissett attempted 16 passes during team drills, compared to eight for Murray, indicating that Arizona may again be preparing its veteran backup to start. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Thursday that the Cardinals are preparing Murray to start, but the quarterback’s limited workload raises continued doubts about his readiness. The team listed Murray as a limited participant throughout Week 7 before ruling him inactive on game day, and despite the extra rest from the bye, his status for Week 9 remains uncertain. The 28-year-old’s absence would be significant, especially given his perfect 9-0 record at AT&T Stadium, spanning his time with Allen High School (5-0), Texas A&M (1-0), Oklahoma (1-0), and Arizona (2-0). In those two NFL wins over Dallas, Murray combined for 377 passing yards and four touchdowns, including a 38-10 rout in 2020 and a 25-22 victory in 2022, his only win against Dak Prescott to date. Brissett, meanwhile, has thrown for 599 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception over the past two games, both ending in losses. The 10-year veteran holds a 19-36 career record as a starter. Arizona (2-5) will need stability under center as they face the Cowboys (3-4-1), who are seeking to rebound at home. Arizona’s offense ranks 19th in scoring (21.9 PPG) and 22nd in total yardage (310.3 YPG), while its defense sits 13th in points allowed (22.0 PPG). Murray has been the engine of the offense this season, completing 68.3% of passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions, along with 173 rushing yards and a score in five games. The Cardinals listed Emari Demercado (ankle), Zay Jones (knee), BJ Ojulari (knee), Walter Nolen III (calf), Garrett Williams (knee), and Kitan Crawford (ankle) as limited participants on Friday. The team will release its final injury designations after Saturday’s practice, but Murray’s availability remains the biggest question heading into Monday night’s primetime matchup in Arlington.

Repeal of L.I. 2462 alone won’t stop Ghana’s mining crisis- Eco-conscious citizens

Coordinator of Eco-Conscious Citizens, Awula Serwaah, has called for a broader and more coordinated approach to tackling illegal and irresponsible mining in Ghana, warning that the current environmental crisis goes beyond the scope of existing legal instruments. Speaking on Joy FM’s Top Story on Thursday, Awula Serwaah said. At the same time, the repeal of L.I. 2462, which previously granted mining leases in forest reserves, was a positive step; it alone would not address the widespread destruction of water bodies and farmlands across the country. “The fight against irresponsible mining — the existential threat we currently face — must be fought on different fronts,” she said. “L.I. 2462 had to do with granting leases to mine in forest reserves. But a lot of what is going on now is pure irresponsible mining without any licence whatsoever.” READ ALSO : Lands Minister lays LI 2462 in Parliament to revoke law allowing mining in forest reserves She noted that many miners either operate illegally or exceed the boundaries of their licences, resulting in massive environmental damage. According to her, this has led to the poisoning of more than 60 per cent of Ghana’s water bodies and the rapid destruction of forest reserves. Citing a recent example, Serwaah said activists in the Adjonsu community have reported illegal mining activities threatening farmlands and the community’s only source of drinking water. “Two excavators have found their way onto the landscape. They’ve tried unsuccessfully to reach NAIMOS to get them removed. The Adjonsu stream is their only source of drinking water — and poisoning water, even in wartime, is a war crime,” she said. She added that the affected residents have struggled to get help from both the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) and the police, leaving them vulnerable to environmental harm. Awula Serwaah stressed that while the repeal of L.I. 2462 was necessary, communities like Adjonsu — which are not forest reserves — remain exposed. “They will not be helped by L.I. 2462, so we need to support activists who are trying to protect their landscape,” she said. Her comments follow the revocation instrument laid before Parliament on Friday, October 31, seeking to repeal L.I. 2501 and completely revoke L.I. 2462, both of which have been criticised for enabling environmentally destructive mining in forest reserves. The Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation says the repeal forms part of a broader strategy to combat illegal mining under the Responsible Cooperative Mining and Skills Development Programme (rCOMSDEP) and enforcement operations led by NAIMOS. Environmental groups, however, insist that without strong enforcement and community-level protection, Ghana’s water bodies and ecosystems remain at serious risk.

Police investigating break-in at home reported to belong to NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Police on Friday were investigating a burglary at a home reported to belong to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander that happened while the NBA's reigning MVP was playing a game the night before. The Thunder referred questions to police in Nichols Hills, an enclave north of downtown Oklahoma City. Police would not confirm who lived in the house or say what might have been taken from it. Officers responded to a report of a burglary at the home around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, when the Thunder were playing at home against the Washington Wizards. Local news stations in Oklahoma City showed police at the home. “The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival,” police said in a statement. “While no arrests have been made, there is no reason to believe the public is in any danger.” The break-in mirrored a slew of burglaries at the homes of well-known professional athletes across the U.S. in recent months. The players have been targeted because of the high-end products believed to be in their homes. Athletes whose homes have been burglarized include the NFL’s Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow, the NBA’s Luka Doncic and the NHL’s Evgeni Malkin. Law enforcement officials have previously warned sports leagues that thieves have been striking on game days when they knew the players would not be home, often smashing through rear windows. The NBA sent a memo to teams in November 2024 urging vigilance when it comes to home security. Among its recommendations, the league suggests players: install updated alarm systems with cameras and utilize them whenever leaving the home, keep valuables in locked and secured safes, remove online real estate listings that may show interior photos of a home, utilize protective guard services during extended trips away from home, and even have dogs assist with home protection.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs transferred to new prison to serve four-year sentence

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred to a new prison to serve out the remainder of his four-year prison sentence on prostitution-related charges. The hip-hop mogul is now incarcerated at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute, New Jersey, located about 34 miles (55 kilometers) east of Philadelphia on the grounds of the joint military base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, according to his listing in the federal Bureau of Prisons inmate database as of Friday. It's not immediately clear when Combs was moved from the troubled Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he had been held since his arrest last September. Lawyers for Combs and spokespersons for the agency didn’t immediately respond to emails seeking comment Friday. Combs' lawyers had asked a judge earlier this month to “strongly recommend” transferring him to the low-security male prison so that he could take part in the facility’s drug treatment program. FCI Fort Dix, one of several dozen federal prisons with a residential drug treatment program, would best allow Combs “to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts,” Teny Geragos, his lawyer, wrote in a letter. Combs has already served about 14 months of his 50-month sentence and is set to be released from prison on May 8, 2028, though he can earn reductions in his time behind bars through his participation in substance abuse treatment and other prison programs. Earlier this week, Combs' lawyers asked a federal appeals court to quickly consider the legality of his conviction and sentence. The 55-year-old wants his appeal to be considered soon enough that he can benefit from a reduction of time spent in prison if the appeals court reverses his conviction, his lawyers said. President Donald Trump has also said Combs had asked him for a pardon, though the Republican did not say if he would grant the request. The founder of Bad Boy Records was convicted in July of flying his girlfriends and male sex workers around the country to engage in drug-fueled sexual encounters in multiple places over many years. However, he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him behind bars for life. In a letter to the judge before he was sentenced, Combs said he has gone through a “spiritual reset” in jail and was “committed to the journey of remaining a drug free, non-violent and peaceful person.”

Cavs’ Kenny Atkinson prioritizing health over all with Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen

Cavs’ Kenny Atkinson prioritizing health over all with Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen

Before tipping off against the Toronto Raptors to commence Group A play in the Emirates NBA Cup, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson provided a wave of updates on Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, and Darius Garland. Both Mitchell and Allen are out for Friday night’s game, their first missed action of the season. They’ll join Sam Merrill on the sidelines as the latest Cavs to hit the inactive list. Mitchell attended Cleveland’s morning shootaround and underwent treatment, followed by further evaluation of the tightness in his left hamstring. Atkinson said that Allen’s injury occurred on a freak halftime injury in Boston, where Dean Wade swished a shot that landed directly on his hand: “Jarrett was saying, ‘I could see if it was like a brick that I’d be mad about it, but the fact that it went right in, what are you going to do?’ It’s just one of those things.” Coming off a regular season at the top of the Eastern Conference with multiple 15-game winning streaks, Atkinson knows that the team’s injury luck couldn’t repeat itself in consecutive campaigns. “Listen, we were the picture of health last year,” Atkinson said. “We say that’s the biggest reason we won 64 games – not our system, not anything else. That was the biggest reason. So I’d rather go through this now than later in the year or towards playoff time.” Darius Garland’s return to the Cavs is on the horizon Garland, on the other hand, is on the mend and “getting close.” Unlike those two, he went through the team’s full shootaround. As ClutchPoints reported Thursday, Garland has been taking part in full scrimmages as a return draws nearer. Atkinson did caution against him playing as soon as Sunday, though. “I’ve made that mistake before,” Atkinson said. “And this is just my side, just watching him on the court. I think there’s been no setbacks, not even any soreness or anything. I think he gets frustrated a little that he’s not making every shot and his basketball is maybe a little off right now, but we don’t care about that. Just happy, so far, so good in terms of everything he’s done. He’s buying into everything we’ve asked of him, but I think we’re getting close here.” Atkinson said that putting Garland in such an environment was intentional. “We made sure they got up and down,” Atkinson said. “It wasn’t just drills. They did some drills, but he hooped. We kept our two-ways back [in Cleveland] so they could get in the scrimmage with him, make it really as game-like as we possibly can in that scenario. “He’s obviously No. 1 priority in terms of getting him back on the court.”

Paul Merson and Harry Redknapp make Tottenham vs Chelsea predictions

Tottenham and Chelsea face off on Saturday (Picture: Getty) Paul Merson and Harry Redknapp have made contrasting predictions ahead of Saturday’s London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea. Tottenham have just one win in their last 13 league meetings with Chelsea, and lost on both occasions to Enzo Maresca’s side under Ange Postecoglou last season. But having made a solid start to their Premier League campaign under new boss Thomas Frank, Spurs will be hopeful of ending that miserable recent record in front of their home fans. Chelsea, meanwhile, bounced back from their surprise defeat to Sunderland last weekend wih a midweek victory over Wolves in the Carabao Cup. It was far from a perfect night for the Blues, though, who almost threatened to throw away a three-goal lead before continuing their troubling recent run of ill-discpline when Liam Delap was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in only seven minutes. And previewing the clash for BetVictor, Redknapp said that the topsy-turvy nature of Chelsea’s performances this season has led him to side with a narrow 2-1 Tottenham win on Saturday. ‘What a game this is, and what a hard one to predict!’ he said. ‘Spurs had been a little bit out of form but that was a very impressive win away to Everton and that should give them a real lift. Tottenham have a sorry recent record against Chelsea (Picture: Getty) ‘A win here would be massive for them and add to what’s been a good start for Thomas Frank. ‘As for Chelsea, I just can’t make my mind up on them! A couple of weeks ago, they beat Liverpool and that felt like a big moment for them, and they go and lose to Sunderland at home last time out. ‘Another defeat here and there could be a bit of pressure on the players and of course, the gaffer. I’m picking Spurs, they just seem to be in a better place to me.’ Enzo Fernandez scored in both league games with Tottenham last season (Picture: Getty) Asked for his player to watch, Redknapp could look no further than Tottenham’s defensive rock Micky van de Ven, saying of the Dutch centre-back: ‘I’m not expecting him to score two again, but what a top player van de Ven is and when he’s at his best, Spurs are a very good side.’ Merson, meanwhile, believes that Chelsea could well edge the contest and win 2-1, although he suggested that Maresca’s side could get caught out if the Italian did not get his team selection right in wide attacking areas. @metrosportuk Maresca has had enough of these red cards 😅 Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca brands his striker Liam Delap’s red card vs Wolves in the Carabao Cup ‘stupid’, as the Blues have now received five reds in nine games. #enzomaresca #liamdelap #chelsea #redcard #carabaocup ♬ original sound – Metro Sport – Metro Sport Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson said: ‘Chelsea rested a few of their main players for the cup game against Wolves and luckily they got through. Tottenham will be disappointed about not making it to the next round like Chelsea after their loss to Newcastle. ‘I don’t think Spurs are a great team when they play at home. If you look at the league table based on results at home and away, it paints an accurate picture. Tottenham are 17th in the league if you only count results from their home games, while they are at the top if you consider just games on the road! ‘Thomas Frank will be happy with Spurs’ result against Everton last weekend. I know it was 3-0 but Guglielmo Vicario still made some top draw saves in that game. ‘This is the biggest game of the season for both teams. After this, Chelsea face Wolves and Burnley in the league. If they can beat Spurs this weekend, they will be confident of going into them games feeling like they can make it three straight wins before the international break. ‘Chelsea must start with Pedro Neto in this game. It’s a big pitch at Tottenham and he’s quick as anything. I’m almost certain Estevao will also start the game. Both wingers must track back though. ‘Spurs have full-backs who love to go forward, so if the Chelsea wingers do not help out in defence, their team will get overrun. I expect Enzo Maresca to make his team selection based on who he trusts more to do the defensive work down the flanks, otherwise Chelsea are in trouble.’ For more stories like this, check our sport page. Dodgers infielder drops mic on how team must approach World Series Game 6

After his attempted shakeup didn’t exactly go as planned in Game 5 of the World Series, with Blake Snell giving up back-t0-back homers before Shohei Ohtani took the mound to hit, Dave Roberts is shaking things up for the Los Angeles Dodgers once more, with Mookie Betts sliding back to the four spot, Tommy Edman playing center field, and Miguel Rojas batting ninth as the starting second baseman. Discussing the moment with reporters a few hours before the game, Rojas revealed how Los Angeles is attacking the moment and why they won’t simply be rolling over for a Halloween massacre in Ontario in Game 6. “We’ve been through a lot in our careers,” Rojas said via Dodgers Nation. “Our offense hasn’t been doing what we’re supposed to do. We have confidence in every single guy.” Would Los Angeles rather be sitting up 3-2 instead of with their backs against the wall in Game 6? Most certainly, but Rojas believes having a day off will help the Dodgers more than some expect, as they’ve played a ton of baseball recently and needed some time to recover. “We feel so much better,” Rojas noted. “Even though we have to travel, it’s always part of the process.” With Game 6 rapidly approaching, the Dodgers are putting egos aside to field their best lineup possible, with struggling Andy Pages and Alex Call both riding the bench in favor of Rojas – who played very well down the stretch – and Betts sliding into the cleanup spot for the first time since 2020. While only time will tell if these changes will produce different results, if the Dodgers come into the game with the right mindset, looking to get on base instead of playing hero to pursue a few crooked number innings, there might still be a Game 7 left to play in Toronto.

Air India concludes phase 1 of retrofit of old planes

Air India on Thursday concluded the revamp of 50% of the narrowbody aircraft it inherited after privatisation with 27 A320neo aircraft now featuring upgraded interiors, including new seats, in-flight entertainment systems, carpets, and charging ports. The airline has 27 A320 neos and 23 A320 ceos since before privatisation in its narrowbody fleet used primarily for domestic flying, and shorter international routes. The remaining 23 are expected to go into retrofit next year. However, post 2022 Air India has also added 14 new A320 neos, as well as 63 A320s and A321s by virtue of its merger with Vistara last November. The 27 revamped narrowbodies will be utilised for as many as 3,024 weekly flights on 82 domestic and short-haul-international routes, the airline said in a press statement. The narrowbody revamp was part of phase 1 of the airline’s US$ 400 million fleet retrofit programme for older aircraft. The second phase of revamp took off in July 2025 for 27 Boeing 787 aircraft and will conclude by mid 2027. Starting in early 2027, Air India will additionally retrofit 13 of its legacy Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which are primarily used for US flights. This is aimed for completion by October 2028, with the timeline having shifted due to supply chain delays. These aircraft are used for flights to Europe, Far East and Australia. The airline has total 187 aircraft in its fleet, which include 60 widebodies. Since its privatisation, the new widebodies added to Air India, which is the full-service arm within the Group that also includes budget carrier Air India Express, include six new A350s and another 14 Boeing 777s leased from various airlines. It will also be adding a widebody every six weeks next year, including 2 A350s. However, it will also be returning 5 of these 777s to Delta Airlines.

Heidi Klum braves the New York rain in vampy all-leather look for Halloween event - watch

There were tricks and treats for Heidi Klum on October 30, 2025 as she visited the Empire State Building to turn on their Halloween lights in New York City. The supermodel gave fans a treat as she rocked a vampy goth look of a leather strapless mini dress that landed on her upper thigh, and featured full-length boning. She paired it with fishnet tights, thigh-high matching leather boots with a stiletto heel, and an oversized black-and-white graphic jacket that she wore falling off her shoulders. But the tricks came from the weather, as New York City was hit by a deadly storm that left her grappling with an umbrella as she exited the building to their top floor deck. "Today’s forecast: 100% chance of tricks AND treats #HeidiHalloween," she captioned an Instagram reel, posted above, set to Sabrina Carpenter's song "When Did You Get Hot?", and began with her posing inside. "Here it comes," sings Sabrina, and in that moment the reel cuts to Heidi struggling in the winds and rain to keep her umbrella over her head, and her hair and outfit dry. Video captured by her assistant also saw her make the futile attempt, but she ultimately gave up, and went back inside. Heidi has become the unofficial Queen of Halloween in recent years, thanks to her iconic Halloween party for which she works alongside special effects artists to create wild costumes. Her 2022 costume went down in history books, when Heidi surpassed every gruesome and goulish character she had previously transformed herself into through the decades by attending as a human-sized worm. Her husband Tom Kraulitz even got into the spirit of the theme, arriving dressed as a fisherman, and helping his wife wriggle onto the red carpet, where she then proceeded to give an interview while lying down on the floor. Heidi is once again hosting her annual Halloween Party in New York City; last year's event was a glitzy A-list packed event featuring Marc Jacobs, Charli D'Amelio, Nicole Scherzinger and Alex Consani. For the 2024 event, Heidi arrived in a cloud of dry ice smoke as the alien E.T from the 1982 movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. In 2023 she dressed as a bright blue peacock accompanied by not one, but ten people dressed in flamboyant green outfits to create a dramatic feather effect, with a helping hand from Cirque du Soleil's creative director Michel Laprise. Other looks have included Princess Fiona from Shrek, with the attention to detail that her feet even looked like she had stepped right out of the swamp and onto the red carpet. Other absolutely iconic looks include a women with no skin, Jessica Rabbit, someone's Granny, the werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video and Lady Godiva, complete with a real-life horse.
