Pakistan beat South Africa in 3rd T20I, win series: Stats

Pakistan's bowlers put on a stellar show in the third and final T20I against South Africa, restricting the visitors to a mere 139 runs at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. Shaheen Afridi was the star of the show, claiming two wickets in his first over. He dismissed Quinton de Kock and Lhuan-dre Pretorius. The left-arm pacer finished with three wickets. In response, Pakistan rode of Babar Azam's 68 to win by 4 wickets and seal the series 2-1. The early wickets put the South African batsmen on the back foot, making it difficult for them to get going. Reeza Hendricks was the top scorer with 34 runs, while Corbin Bosch and captain Donovan Ferreira contributed 30 and 29 runs respectively. However, none of them could accelerate the innings due to Pakistan's disciplined bowling attack. Along with Afridi, debutant spinner Usman Tariq and Faheem Ashraf also shone with the ball, picking up two wickets each. Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza chipped in with one wicket each to help Pakistan restrict South Africa to a modest total. The disciplined bowling from the hosts was instrumental in keeping the Proteas's innings in check throughout the match. In response to South Africa's total, Pakistan were 69/2 after 10 overs with Babar and Salman Agha at the crease. The two continued to put on crucial runs before Agha departed for 33. Pakistan were 120/3 with his dismissal. Soon after Agha perished, Babar was sent back by Corbin Bosch with Pakistan reeling at 125/4. They also lost two more wickets and were 134/6. Did Charlie Kirk Predict His Own Death? Candace Owens Reveals Chilling Texts

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk allegedly predicted his own assassination years before he was fatally shot in Utah, according to text messages shared by commentator Candace Owens. Owens posted screenshots on her podcast on Monday that she said showed a conversation from April 6, 2018, in which Kirk warned he might be killed because of his work with the conservative student group. "If I tell you the true prophecy I know in my gut it’s really sad," the person identified as Kirk wrote. "But I hope it’s wrong." He added: "Anyway I am not sure if I will live to see the end of this revolution." Kirk wrote that since founding Turning Point USA (TPUSA), he had felt he "might get wiped out at any time." "I cannot explain it," he said. "But I dream about it all the time. Like all the time." Owens served as communications director for TPUSA from 2017 to 2019. She said Kirk was not being dramatic, quoting another message where he insisted: "Not really afraid of it but I’m just telling you what I know to be true." In further texts, Kirk compared himself to a biblical figure. "I might be Moses tho. I might not see this whole thing through lmao," he wrote. Kirk was shot through the neck in front of hundreds of people during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10. During her podcast, Owens also issued a warning to those she accused of betraying Kirk, urging them to "come clean." Owens and Kirk had a professional falling out years earlier. Newsmax host Eric Bolling, a TPUSA member, told The Post in September that the two had a "break-up" after Owens’s "theories got just a little bit too down the rabbit holes." Heidi Klum’s Daughter Leni Wears Full-Body Paint Look While Posing with Mom’s Medusa Costume at Halloween Party

Like mother, like daughter! This year, Heidi Klum’s daughter Leni Klum followed in her mom’s Halloween-loving footsteps — and proved that the apple doesn’t fall far from the spooky tree — by going all-out with her elaborate costume. Leni attended her supermodel mom's Halloween party in New York City on Friday, Oct. 31, and brought a colorful vibe to the annual bash in a look inspired by A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon. The 21-year-old model dressed as Camilla Cream, the main character of the children’s book who finds herself unexpectedly covered in rainbow stripes. The vibrant look included what appeared to be head-to-toe body paint emulating Camilla’s surprise stripes. Leni completed the costume with a wig imitating Camilla’s dark, curly tresses, and wore the character’s most iconic outfit with a white tank top and oversize hairbow. She also carried a copy of the picture book for reference while wearing a pair of white socks and slippers. Though similarly intensive, Leni's look provided a stark contrast to mom Heidi’s costume, which leaned more spooky than cute — and took inspiration from an older tale. For her party this year, the 52-year-old, who is widely hailed as the Queen of Halloween, transformed into Medusa — complete with moving snakes in her hair. Her husband Tom Kaulitz, meanwhile, was dressed as a Greek soldier turned to stone by the mythological figure. The America's Got Talent judge posed for a photo with Leni at the star-studded party, complimenting her daughter’s green stripes in her scaly ensemble. Leni first teased her costume with a close-up of her partially completed stripe body paint on Instagram Stories, where she also showcased the full rainbow look in a funny clip. The model debuted her A Bad Case of Stripes-inspired look with a video of her lip-syncing to a line that Amanda Seyfried delivers as Karen Smith in Mean Girls. “I can’t go out. I’m sick,” Leni mouthed from bed before imitating Seyfried’s fake-coughing. She also shared a recreation of the book cover — complete with her tucked into bed, thermometer in mouth — on Instagram Stories, and posted a snap from the makeup chair on her feed. “I can’t go out, i’m sick🤧,” Leni captioned the pouty Halloween pic. Heidi, meanwhile, captioned her full Medusa Instagram post, “HAPPY HEIDIWEEN 🐍Don’t stare too long or you’ll turn to stone 🖤.” Heidi is mom to four children with ex-husband Seal, 62. Along with Leni, the ex-couple shares sons Henry, 20, Johan, 18, and daughter Lou, 16.

Tests Find Chinese Manufacturer Can Manipulate Electric Buses in Norway

Safety tests by a public transport operator in Oslo, Norway, conducted have raised grave concerns over Chinese electric buses. The operator known as Ruter conducted secret trials a few months ago on an electric bus from a European manufacturer and one from China’s Yutong to determine if there were cybersecurity threats, MENAFN reported Wednesday. The European bus remained secure but the Chinese-made one had the ability to be manipulated by its manufacturer. The manufacturer has access to buses’ software, diagnostics, and battery control systems, therefore the manufacturer could stop or render the vehicle unusable, Ruter explained. The article continued: Arild Tjomsland, a special advisor at the University of South-Eastern Norway who assisted with the tests, emphasized the risks: “The Chinese bus can be stopped, turned off, or receive updates that can destroy the technology that the bus needs to operate normally.” He noted that while hackers and suppliers cannot steer the buses, the ability to stop them could disrupt operations or serve as leverage during a crisis. During former President Joe Biden’s (D) push for green energy, Chinese automakers were looking to flood the United States market with cheap electric vehicles (EVs), Breitbart News reported in 2023. The following year, Chinese companies were testing their autonomous vehicles on American roads, raising concerns about the data they were collecting as they mapped the nation. In addition, Breitbart News reported in September 2024, “The British government’s open-doors approach to electric vehicles from Communist China threatens to undercut domestic manufacturing and expose the country to national security risks, with a think tank warning that EVs could be ‘weaponized’ by Beijing.” In regard to the issue in Oslo, Ruter Director Bernt Reitan Jenssen said, “We’ve found that everything that is connected poses a risk — and that includes buses. There is a risk that for example suppliers could take control, but also that other players could break into this value chain and influence the buses,” the Economic Times reported Tuesday. The MENAFN article said the test results were forwarded to officials at the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Norway.

Scott Parker makes Arsenal Premier League prediction after Burnley loss

Scott Parker says Arsenal have "every single ingredient" to win the Premier League title following Burnley's loss on Saturday afternoon. First-half goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice secured a 2-0 win at Turf Moor, as the Gunners moved seven points clear at the summit and kept a seventh successive clean sheet across all competitions. Parker, whose Burnley side have faced Liverpool and Manchester City this season, saw enough to be convinced Arsenal can be crowned champions of England for the first time in 20 years. "They’re just a very, very good team," said Parker in the post match press conference. "They’re a team who I believe have every single ingredient to go and win the league this year. "In every facet of their game, defensively, attacking-wise, set plays, they’re a top, top team. We just fell a little bit short today. “We started well but then their class shone through after their first goal. “We knew their set-piece threat and it showed again today. They’ve got a mentality about them when they get a set-piece and they took their chance well. “We looked a bit stunned after that goal but in the second half, I can’t fault us at all. It was a second half performance to be proud of. “We showed real impetus in that second half. We gave them a really good game but just fell a little bit short." Arsenal face Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday evening before returning to Premier League action next Saturday with a trip to Sunderland.

Jenny McCarthy Celebrated on Her 53rd Birthday by Husband Donnie Wahlberg: 'My Partner in Life, My Soul Mate, My Best Friend'

Jenny McCarthy is celebrating another year of life with Donnie Wahlberg by her side. The New Kids on the Block musician, 56, marked his wife's 53rd birthday on Saturday, Nov. 1, with a sweet Instagram tribute. "Please join me in wishing my wife — my partner in life, my soul mate, my best friend, my sister in faith, my home screen queen, my ride or die, My Favorite Girl, My Cover Girl, My Valentine Girl, the greatest mom, the coolest step mom, the lovingest dog mom, the most supportive supporter, the most amazing daughter, the nicest sister, the kindest caretaker, the hardest working, the most (hopelessly) devoted, the courageously courageous, the comedically outrageous, the absolute love of my life — JENNY MCCARTHY, a Happy Birthday!" Wahlberg wrote in his caption."Happy Birthday my love," he continued. "I love you, respect you, admire you, cherish you, am surprised by you, amazed by you, in awe of you and look forward to every moment with you, more and more, with each passing second." Added Wahlberg: "I love you! May your birthday be more than you dream it to be — as you have been more than I could have dreamed you to be! I love you! ❤️." Sparks first flew between McCarthy and Wahlberg during a joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live in 2012. The following year, Wahlberg appeared on McCarthy's VH1 talk show, The Jenny McCarthy Show. The pair were an official couple months later, and in April 2014, Wahlberg proposed to McCarthy. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! Wahlberg and McCarthy got married in August 2014, in a ceremony featured on their A&E reality show: Donnie Loves Jenny. In the years since, they've had multiple vow renewals. McCarthy is a mom to son Evan with her ex-husband John Asher, while Wahlberg is a dad to sons Xavier and Elijah with ex Kimberly Fey. Back in March, McCarthy spoke to PEOPLE about how she and her husband manage to "keep that curiosity" in their relationship over a decade in. “We continue to date each other, because I think we get really complacent and it can become a brother and sister relationship real quick, unless you do the work,” McCarthy said. “And I just played this game with him called 'Questions,' ” she continued. "It's a thing that we put into our marriage, which is every once in a while we'll play this game, and we have to ask questions that we don't know the answer to because you already know what you think are answers to everything after 10 years.” The game, McCarthy said, "allows us to actually do work and get introspective and get curious about each other.” "And when you get curious about each other, it feels like you're dating again," the model added. "So we always make sure we play 'Questions' to keep that curiosity going in our relationship.”
