According to Arihant Capital, India’s retail investor base is projected to nearly double from the current 6.6-7.2 crore to about 12–13 crore in the coming years, positioning Groww favourably to benefit from this expansion. With a digital reach spanning 98.36% of Indian pin codes and a leadership position among active NSE users, the firm said Groww is well placed to capitalise on the country’s growing investor participation. The brokerage highlighted that Groww’s strong technology platform and asset-light business model are expected to support profitability. Its revenue has grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 85% between FY23 and FY25, while profit margins have widened to 45%. “At the upper price band of Rs 100, the issue is valued at a P/E of 33.8x, based on an EPS of Rs 2.96. We recommend a ‘Subscribe for listing gains’ rating,” Arihant Capital noted. Anand Rathi, meanwhile, said Groww’s focus on trust, transparency, and financial inclusion remains central to its growth strategy. The brokerage added that the company plans to expand organically through customer referrals and operating leverage, while also diversifying its product offerings — including margin trading facility (MTF), commodity derivatives, API-based trading, wealth management, and bonds — to boost customer engagement and wallet share. “Considering these factors, the IPO appears fully priced and is rated ‘Subscribe – Long Term’,” Anand Rathi said. Groww IPO: Opening, Closing, Allotment, Listing Dates The IPO was opened on November 4 and will be closed on November 7. Its allotment will be finalised on November 10, while the stock listing is scheduled to take place on November 12 on both BSE and NSE. Groww IPO: More Details Billionbrains Garage Ventures on Monday garnered a little over Rs 2,984 crore from anchor investors. The company’s Rs 6,632 crore IPO would conclude on November 7. The firm has fixed a price band of Rs 95-100 per share for its IPO, targeting a valuation of over Rs 61,700 crore (about USD 7 billion). The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 1,060 crore along with an Offer-for-Sale (OFS) component of 55.72 crore equity shares. The company, which is backed by marquee investors such as Peak XV, Tiger Capital, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, plans to use proceeds from the IPO to invest in technology development and business expansion. Of the fresh issuance, Rs 225 crore will be used for brand building and performance marketing activities, and Rs 205 crore will be invested in Groww Creditserv Technology Pvt Ltd (GCS), the NBFC arm, to augment its capital base. Additionally, Rs 167.5 crore will be infused into Groww Invest Tech Pvt Ltd (GIT) to fund its margin trading facility business, while Rs 152.5 crore has been earmarked to strengthen cloud infrastructure. The balance will be utilised for funding inorganic growth through acquisitions and for general corporate purposes. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Groww filed draft papers in May with the markets regulator, Sebi, for an IPO through a confidential pre-filing route and received Sebi’s approval in August. Groww opted for the confidential pre-filing route, which allows it to withhold public disclosure of IPO details under the DRHP until later stages. This route is gaining traction among Indian firms aiming for flexibility in their IPO plans. Founded in 2016, Groww emerged as India’s largest stockbroker, with over 12.6 million active clients and a market share of over 26 per cent as of June 2025. Groww will make its stock market debut on November 12.

Japan to screen #MeToo film months after Oscar nomination

Japan will for the first time screen a documentary directed by a prominent campaigner in the country's #MeToo movement, months after it was nominated for an Oscar. Shiori Ito won a landmark 2019 civil case against a Japanese TV reporter accused of raping her -- a charge he denies -- and turned her ordeal into a film screened worldwide. But "Black Box Diaries" has until now not been distributed in Japan, where her former lawyers raised concerns over video and audio that was covertly shot or meant for use in court. The documentary will finally be shown at one cinema in Tokyo from December, according to publicist Toei Advertising. It was unclear if other movie theatres would screen the film, which was nominated but did not win the best documentary feature category at this year's Academy Awards. "The version released in Japan has been finalised with some revisions and adjustments made based on feedback received from the parties involved," the publicist said in an undated press release. Ito was quoted as saying she hoped the film would help ignite conversations to "protect the next person, and move society little by little". Lawyer Yoko Nishihiro, who represented Ito for more than eight years, said she had felt "completely shattered" after realising that a secretly recorded phone conversation had been featured in the documentary. Nishihiro and her team highlighted other footage used without permission, including hotel CCTV shown in court. The lawyers said earlier this year that "Black Box Diaries" was not "banned" in Japan or shunned over to its subject matter, but rather had not been shown due to these concerns. Ito apologised for the incident. Despite several high-profile cases, Japan has never seen an outpouring of #MeToo allegations, Ito -- who received vicious online criticism for going public -- has said. Government surveys in Japan show few rape victims report the crime to the police, although the number of consultations at sexual violence support centres is rising. Ito alleges that ex-journalist Noriyuki Yamaguchi -- who had close links to then-prime minister Shinzo Abe -- raped her in 2015 after inviting her to dinner to discuss a job. Having told Ito there was insufficient evidence, police then said they would arrest Yamaguchi, before suddenly backing off. In the documentary, Ito records one police investigator telling her the order came from "higher-ups". In 2019, she won $30,000 in damages in a civil case that was followed by a toughening of Japan's rape laws. mac-aph/dhw

Sam Smith Reveals Getting Liposuction At 13 After Being Bullied: ‘My Weight As Kid Was The Hardest Thing’

Sam Smith, the English singer popular for their songs like Unholy, Fire on Fire, and I’m Not the Only One, got real about their early struggles with body image. On the latest episode of actor Penn Badgley’s podcast, Podcrushed, the 33-year-old artist, who uses they/them pronouns, opened up about the challenges they faced with weight while growing up and revealed that they underwent liposuction, a fat removal surgery, when they were just 13 years old. “My weight as a kid was the hardest thing for me in school, and weirdly, the thing I probably got teased the most about,” Sam told Penn and his co-hosts, Sophie Ansari and Nava Kavelin, in the episode that was released on November 5. They explained that as a teenager, they had a growing chest, which made them extremely self-conscious and a target of bullies. Sam Smith Was Bullied For Their Weight “I had surgery on my chest when I was 13 years old because I had a growing chest,” Sam revealed, adding, “There was all sorts of reasons why, but mainly that I was just getting so teased.” He said, “I couldn’t go swimming in school, and getting changed in the locker room was hell. So I got liposuction when I was 13 years old.” Sam Smith Shared Why The Liposuction Failed When the host asked how their parents felt about liposuction at such a young age, Sam revealed that they were “hugely supportive” of the decision. “They were hugely supportive of the whole thing because they saw how much it was crippling everything about me,” they said. However, the singer admitted that the procedure turned out to be a “nightmare” and did not solve their struggles, as they were back to their poor eating habits. Sam recalled, “Because they gave me a bandage which is like a bra … I was only meant to wear it for a month, but if I wore the bandage, it meant that I would get to the front of the lunch queue because everyone had to be sensitive about my chest. So I just kept this bandage on for nearly a year.” They added that the “surgery really never worked” because he loved to have food. What’s Sam Smith Up To These Days? Sam Smith, who released the single To Be Free earlier this year, is currently on their To Be Free residency in New York City. They kicked off the residency in October and are scheduled to perform till December 13. Then they will take the residency to San Fransico, where they will perform till March next year.

Why Is Stock Market Falling Today? Key Factors Behind Sensex, Nifty Decline On November 7

Why Is Stock Market Falling Today? Indian equities opened lower on Friday, with the Sensex and Nifty extending their losing streak for a third consecutive session as investors booked profits amid continued foreign fund outflows. The caution in the market overshadowed optimism around strong corporate earnings and expectations of progress in India–U.S. trade discussions. The S&P BSE Sensex slumped over 600 points to slip below the 82,700 mark, while the NSE Nifty 50 declined more than 150 points to trade under 25,350. Both benchmark indices remain on course to end the week with modest losses after a volatile, profit-taking-driven week. On the 30-stock Sensex, Bharti Airtel, HCL Technologies, NTPC, TCS, and Tech Mahindra led the laggards, falling between 1% and 4%. Bharti Airtel dropped nearly 4% after about 5.1 crore shares changed hands in a block deal, with Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) likely the seller. The weakness spilled over to the broader markets, with the Nifty MidCap index down 0.9% and the SmallCap index falling 1.4%. Defying the broader downtrend, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) gained 2%, supported by robust quarterly earnings and improved margins. Both the Sensex and Nifty are on track to post weekly losses, cooling off after a 4.5% rally in October. FII Shorts Pressure Domestic Buyers Despite Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) buying more than Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold (Rs 5,283 crore DII buying vs Rs 3,263 crore FII selling on Thursday), markets continue to drift lower, said Dr. V.K. Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services. “Huge FII shorting is overpowering DII and retail buying. Sustained selling by FIIs, as they rotate funds to cheaper markets, has emboldened them. Short covering could trigger a reversal, but immediate catalysts are missing,” he noted. Vijayakumar suggested that this phase is ideal for investors to rebalance portfolios toward fairly valued large-cap stocks, especially in banking and pharmaceuticals, where growth prospects remain strong. Technical Outlook The Nifty’s failure to sustain above the 25,630–25,650 zone has exposed key support levels, said Anand James, Chief Market Strategist at Geojit Financial Services. “The index now faces downside risk near the 50-day SMA at 25,200 and the Bollinger Band lower bound at 25,088. However, the 25,400 region could offer a regrouping opportunity for bulls,” James said. Global Markets: Tech Rout Deepens Global equities remained under pressure as investors questioned whether the AI-driven rally had run too far. Tech-heavy indices were on track for their steepest weekly losses in seven months. The Nasdaq fell 1.9% overnight, bringing its weekly loss to 2.8%, while Japan’s Nikkei slid 1.8%, heading for a 4.7% weekly drop, its worst since March. South Korea’s Kospi declined 3.3% for the week. SoftBank Group plunged over 20% this week, while Bitcoin, a proxy for tech sentiment, dropped 8% to $101,092. Gold held firm just below $4,000 an ounce, reflecting safe-haven demand. Oil and Currency Watch Oil prices edged higher after three straight sessions of declines, though both benchmarks remain on course for a second weekly loss. Brent crude: up 0.33% at $63.59 per barrel WTI crude: up 0.37% at $59.65 per barrel Meanwhile, the Indian rupee weakened 3 paise to 88.66 against the U.S. dollar in early trade, tracking losses in regional peers and risk-off sentiment. The dollar index hovered near 99.74, slightly below the 100 mark hit earlier this week.

‘Unnecessary Public Debate’: BJP MP Walks Back Controversial Remark On National Anthem

A day after sparking a major political row over his remark that Jana Gana Mana was composed to welcome the British, BJP MP and former Karnataka Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri issued a full retraction, saying he does not stand by his earlier remarks and does not wish to prolong the controversy. Speaking to News18 following widespread criticism, the MP said both Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram are “nationally respected songs” and insisted that India’s national anthem must always be honoured. ‘Never Will I Stand By That Statement’ Pressed on whether he still stood by his earlier comments, he responded firmly, “No, no. Never I will stand by this statement. Unnecessarily it has become a public debate. I don’t want to continue this. Our national anthem is always our national anthem. We have to give respect and honour to it.” He added that his intention was not to ignite any controversy and that he was withdrawing from the debate entirely. When asked again if he was formally retracting his statement, he said, “No, no. Thing is, unnecessarily it has been made a controversy. I don’t want to continue this. I don’t want to debate on this more than this. Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana both are our nationally respected songs.” Reiterating his position, the BJP MP said, “Jana Gana Mana is our national anthem, we must accept the truth and follow that. This is my stand. I don’t want to continue this debate.” The controversy erupted after Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri claimed at a Rashtriya Ekta Nadige event in Honnavar that Jana Gana Mana was composed to welcome the British and that there had once been a strong chorus to make Vande Mataram the national anthem. He said, “Our ancestors decided that along with Vande Mataram, Jana Gana Mana, which was composed to welcome the British, should also be included. Today, we have accepted it and continue to follow it.” The remarks drew sharp criticism from the Congress, with Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge calling it a “WhatsApp history lesson” and “utter nonsense.” Priyank Kharge cited Rabindranath Tagore’s writings to assert that Jana Gana Mana hailed the “Dispenser of India’s destiny,” not British royalty. “Sri Tagore wrote the hymn Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata in 1911; its first stanza became Jana Gana Mana. It was first sung at the Congress session in Calcutta — not as a royal tribute,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

When Machines Defend Medicine: Anjan Kumar's AI-Driven Approach to Cybersecurity

Hospitals have become digital lifelines, where seconds can determine survival. In that urgency, a cyberattack is more than a data breach-it's a disruption of care. Anjan Kumar Gundaboina, Senior Cloud Security and DevSecOps Architect at Optum, realized this when he built an AI-based defense system that predicted and neutralized threats before they could reachpatients. From Reactive to Predictive Defense Healthcare's dependence on cloud systems made it a target for ransomware and data theft. The traditional model, which detects breaches after they occur, was too slow. Gundaboina's work at Optum marked a significant shift toward predictive security, where attacks are intercepted in real-time. "Cyberattacks on healthcare infrastructure, particularly ransomware, required a move from reactive monitoring to predictive, AI-driven threat detection," he said. "At Optum, I designed and deployed an AI-enhanced DevSecOps framework that combined machine learning with automated response playbooks." The system was built within Optum's hybrid ecosystem, connecting AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises networks through a single continuous monitoring loop. Machine learning models analyzed access logs, API requests, and system telemetry, learning to identify subtle irregularities before they escalated into incidents. A critical moment arose during an anomaly on a telemedicine platform. Unusual API calls triggered the system's defense pipeline. Within seconds, access tokens were revoked, Kubernetes pods were quarantined, and alerts were sent to response teams, all without human intervention. That automation prevented data theft and ensured uninterrupted remote consultations. Teaching Systems to Think Like Defenders What Gundaboina built went far beyond an automated firewall. His framework allowed machines to learn from every security event and react intelligently to new ones. Each incident became training data for a stronger future response. He encoded human experience into machine logic by creating incident response playbooks, scripts that dictated what to do when breaches occurred. These playbooks automate critical containment steps such as rotating credentials, isolating compromised virtual machines, and initiating forensic captures. Every alert generated new knowledge; every containment improved the next defense. The impact was measurable. Optum's mean time to detect (MTTD) dropped from hours to minutes. Mean time to respond (MTTR) fell from days to under an hour. These improvements ensured that clinical workflows, encompassing electronic health records, diagnostic imaging, and teleconsultations, remained online even during digital attacks. His work didn't stop with detection. He was at the forefront of training predictive classifiers that could detect insider threats, unexplained access, or misuse of privilege by personnel that are often unnoticed by traditional systems. Instead of static credentials, these models learned the contextual behavior of users, marking interactions as highly risky before they became actual breaches. The Human Stakes of Automation For Gundaboina, automation isn't about replacing people but protecting them. Healthcare staff can't spend hours chasing false alerts when patients need attention. His systems reduce noise, isolate verified threats, and allow responders to focus on recovery rather than detection. "The goal is simple," he said. "Protect patient data, protect patient care." His framework has since influenced Optum's broader cloud strategy, embedding predictive DevSecOps principles into every deployment. By integrating security automation into continuous delivery pipelines, the company's healthcare platforms became more resilient without slowing clinical operations. Gundaboina's contributions to research, published in IEEE and Scopus-indexed journals, further solidify his status as a global thought leader in predictive healthcare cybersecurity. His work bridges the gap between AI and DevSecOps, demonstrating the automation of prediction and neutralization of attacks at a speed surpassing that of any human response team. Through these advances, Gundaboina turned incident response from a reactive scramble into a silent, predictive discipline. Each second saved represents more than just uptime; it represents uninterrupted care, secure patient trust, and a healthcare system prepared for the unseen.

UN Security Council Lifts Sanctions On Syrian President And Interior Minister

The UN Security Council has voted to lift sanctions against Syrian President Ahmed al‑Sharaa and Interior Minister Anas Khattab under a US-drafted resolution approved on Thursday by 14 members, with China abstaining. According to the resolution, the asset freezes and travel bans imposed on the two officials were removed as part of a broader recalibration of Syria’s international standing following the collapse of the previous regime. The move is seen as symbolic of a shift in diplomatic strategy after more than a decade of civil war. The sanctions had been in place since the earlier regime’s links to terrorism and conflict. A UN monitoring report noted this year that there were no “active ties” between the militant group Hayat Tahrir al‑Sham (HTS) and al‑Qaeda, a key benchmark cited by member states. The US ambassador to the UN described the vote as “sending a strong political signal” recognising that Syria has entered a “new era”. Russia supported the resolution, saying it best reflected the “interests and aspirations of the Syrian people themselves”. China, meanwhile, abstained, citing concerns that the resolution did not sufficiently address counter-terrorism threats, including the presence of Uyghur fighters linked to the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement. Syrian UN Ambassador Ibrahim Olabi welcomed the decision, calling it a sign of support for Syria’s rebuilding efforts and, in his words, a message of hope for the “women and men” striving to restore their homeland. While the lifting of these sanctions does not immediately remove other sectoral or arms-related restrictions, the decision marks a significant step in Syria’s re-engagement with the world and signals increased diplomatic normalisation ahead of scheduled high-level talks. -Inputs from Reuters

Mumbai Metro Passengers Shocked To Hear ‘Aapka Agla Stop Bangkok Hai’, Internet Says ‘Ladke Khush Ho Gye Honge’

It was an ordinary evening for Mumbai Metro passengers, until an unexpected announcement turned a routine ride into a moment of laughter and confusion. As the train sped along its route, the usual calm voice that updates commuters about upcoming stations suddenly declared, “Aapka agla stop Bangkok hai!” For a few seconds, the entire coach froze. Some passengers looked around, wondering if they heard it right, while others couldn’t help but laugh. A few even pulled out their phones to record the hilarious moment. Passengers React to the Unexpected ‘Bangkok’ Stop The video opens with passengers inside the Mumbai Metro, some seated, others standing near the doors. Suddenly, the calm routine is broken by an unexpected announcement: “Aapka agla stop Bangkok hai! Shock mat ho, book karo, kyunki MakeMyTrip mein chal rahi hai Travel Ka Muhurat Sale.” The short clip, filmed by one of the passengers, captures the light-hearted chaos that followed the announcement. People sitting quietly moments earlier exchanged puzzled glances, some smiling and shaking their heads in disbelief. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Comedyculture.in ™ (@comedyculture.in) As the video grabbed attention online, a few joked that they wouldn’t mind if the metro really took them to Bangkok or at least to Goa. A user wrote, “I’m amazed no one laughed at this.” Another joked, “Ladke khush ho gye honge… station pr hi massage mil jayegi.” Someone else commented, “Good boys go to heaven, bad boys go to Bangkok,” while another added, “Advertisements peak here.” An individual said, “I am also listening to the same thing from the last 3 days in the Mumbai metro.” And another confirmed it saying, “It’s marketing.” A few even suggested that the suspense should have lasted longer before revealing it was an ad. The Clever Marketing Move Behind the Prank The surprise message turned out to be a creative marketing campaign by MakeMyTrip. Reportedly, the company confirmed that it was part of their ongoing “Agla Stop: Holiday!” initiative, promoting the “Travel Ka Muhurat Sale,” which runs from October 29 to November 30 this year. The campaign encourages people to take a break from their busy routines and plan year-end holidays with special discounts on flights, hotels and vacation packages.

Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report

Aryan Khan, who recently earned appreciation for his debut Netflix directorial The Ba***ds of Bollywood, is already moving ahead with his next set of projects. The series, which featured Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol and an ensemble cast, marked Aryan’s official entry as a director and showcased his inclination towards bold storytelling. With the streaming debut now behind him, the filmmaker is preparing for a larger leap — a theatrical feature. Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report According to industry sources, Aryan's next directorial will be a full-fledged film intended for a big-screen release. The young filmmaker is reportedly determined to establish himself in the theatrical space before stepping into what will arguably be the most anticipated collaboration of his career — directing his father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan. A source quoted by Pinkvilla revealed that Aryan is taking a measured, merit-driven approach to his career choices. “Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan,” the insider shared. The intention, the source added, is to build credibility in the industry by letting the work speak for itself rather than relying on legacy or expectations. Plans for the father-son collaboration are very much in motion, though the film is not expected to take off immediately. “If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027,” the source added. For now, Aryan is dedicating his attention to completing the script for his second feature film. The project is likely to enter the casting stage soon, with more details about the genre, ensemble, and production timeline expected to emerge in the coming months. With his debut project sparking conversations and his next two films already generating industry buzz, Aryan Khan appears to be pacing his journey with focus and strategic clarity. As anticipation builds for his theatrical debut — and eventually, his directorial collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan — all eyes are on the young filmmaker’s next move. Man Shares Mid-Air Scare On IndiGo Flight As Burning Smell Fills Cabin: ‘It Was A Panic-Like Situation’ | Video

A passenger recently shared a terrifying mid-air experience on an IndiGo flight, claiming that a strong burning smell suddenly filled the cabin and triggered panic among travellers. Describing the tense atmosphere on board, he added that even the flight attendants appeared confused and were unable to provide any clear technical explanation for the pungent odour. In the clip, the overlay text reads, “Midair, it started to smell like something was on fire inside the plane. People started checking, and air hostesses were running. One guy was saying to make the plane land.” When passengers inquired about the smell, the crew reportedly explained that the aircraft was new and had completed only two flights so far. “The air hostesses were also confused, and on top of that, they said that the plane is new and had done only two journeys till now. They did a great job at calming people,” the passenger said in the video. ‘The Smell Was Quite Strong And Increasing’ In the caption, the man described the tense atmosphere inside the plane, writing, “Why the crew got so scared in the end? They managed eventually, but at first, we were all frightened because of the strong smell and the way the situation was handled.” He added, “No proper technical information was given — people just said it might have come from here or somewhere else. The smell was quite strong, not just a faint one, and it stayed and was increasing also.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ar. Krishna Gaur (@_maikrishnahoon_) At the end of the video, the passenger confirmed that the flight landed safely, though he said no clear explanation was given to passengers. “We landed safely but no one told what actually happened and the staff was also confused. People literally started crying for a few minutes,” he recounted. ‘It Was A Panic-Like Situation,’ Recalls A Passenger The incident, captured and shared on Instagram, triggered a flood of reactions from users. Many shared their views and own experiences. A few also slammed IndiGo airlines for their poor services. A user commented, “Bhai vo kabhi kabhi engine se smoke ki smell aati h (Brother, sometimes it is the smell of smoke from the engine.) “Maybe because it’s new, some protective coatings and elements were being ‘burnt’ off due to heating of components! But, on a serious note, this can be a terrifying and extremely dangerous situation. Glad all were safe,” said a user. Another Instagram user claimed to have been on the same flight, saying, “I was on that flight along with my family. The smoke smell was very strong and stayed for around 15 mins, and the onboard air hostesses were not aware of why it was happening!! It was a panic-like situation! @indigo.6e no clarification was given to passengers about why it happened and whether it was being rectified or not. It was really a bad experience.” “The water kettle that they use for heating water also smells at times,” shared a user. An individual stated, “Outside air. Maybe high level of smoke. The thick smoke can seep into the plane.” “Indigo has been going down in terms for service. They sometimes have no answers,” a user criticised. Many users tagged the airlines seeking their response on the situation. But IndiGo has not issued an official statement regarding the incident as of now.

Rohit Sharma Loses It After 'Shocking' Former Teammate: 'Give Me An...' | Watch

Indian batting stalwart Rohit Sharma is enjoying his break from India duties after recently making his international return during the Australia tour. Rohit has been spending time with his family and relishing moments with old friends and teammates. On Thursday (November 6), the 38-year-old shared a hilarious clip of a prank he successfully pulled off on one of his former India and Mumbai teammates, Dhawal Kulkarni. In the amusing video he posted on Instagram, Rohit stunned Kulkarni with a trick pen that gives a minor electric shock. Interestingly, he managed to dodge the prank himself. At the beginning of the video, one of Rohit’s friends requests him for an autograph and gives him a pen. Immediately suspicious over the sudden request and the design of the pen, Rohit declines and warns his friend in jest to watch out for what he does. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rohit Sharma (@rohitsharma45) “Ro, can you give me an autograph?” the friend asks, to which Rohit inspects the pen and instantly recognises the prank. “This is not a pen,” he said. “Do you know what’s wrong with this? I’ll tell you now. I’ll use this on someone. Someone who is very, very special.” Before proceeding to play his prank on Kulkarni, Rohit gave the pen with the electric shock to another one of his friends and burst out laughing when he pressed it and received the shock. “What happened?” Rohit asked, to which his friend responded, “Hey, that’s what’s in it – shock.” Then came Kulkarni’s turn. The prank took place during a gym session with a few of Rohit’s domestic teammates, including fellow seamer Shardul Thakur. Rohit asked someone to give the pen to Kulkarni and waited for the reaction. As he checked the pen, Kulkarni received an electric shock and moved awkwardly. Rohit then muttered something as Kulkarni clicked the pen again and received another shock, much to the amusement of the India and Mumbai Indians superstar. Rohit ended the recent ODI series against Australia with a terrific hundred in Sydney, shutting his doubters after an extensive debate over his slipping form. The limited-overs legend will be back in action with the three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting November 30.

Allu Sirish Radiates Royal Elegance In A Manish Malhotra Sherwani At His Engagement

When it comes to fashion, the Allu family has long been synonymous with effortless elegance, and Allu Sirish’s engagement look just reaffirmed that legacy. On October 31, 2025, the actor got engaged to his longtime partner, Nayanika, in an intimate yet breathtaking ceremony in Hyderabad. The evening reflected everything the Allu family stands for – class, culture, and couture in seamless harmony. While the occasion was rooted in love and tradition, Sirish turned it into a masterclass in contemporary men’s fashion. His choice of attire – an ivory sherwani from Manish Malhotra’s atelier- was nothing short of regal. The ensemble blended timeless Indian craftsmanship with a refined modern sensibility, setting a new benchmark for grooms and groomsmen alike. Allu Sirish’s Manish Malhotra Look View this post on Instagram A post shared by Allu Sirish (@allusirish) Allu Sirish’s custom sherwani was a study in subtle grandeur. Crafted in fine silk, it featured intricate zardozi embroidery that caught the light in all the right ways, lending depth and texture without overpowering the silhouette. The ivory tone symbolised purity and understated luxury – a refreshing contrast to the brighter palettes that often dominate men’s occasionwear. But what truly elevated the look was Sirish’s bold styling choice – a statement Victorian diamond necklace. Daring yet deeply sophisticated, it added a royal flourish to his minimalist palette. Few men experiment with jewellery at this scale, but Sirish’s confidence made it look effortless. The necklace, with its old-world charm and modern edge, served as a nod to the resurgence of men’s jewellery in high fashion: a trend that balances strength with elegance. The engagement décor reflected the same refined aesthetic. Soft pastels, delicate florals, and warm lighting created a serene yet opulent atmosphere – one that complemented the couple’s understated charisma. Every frame radiated intimacy and grandeur in equal measure, making it as much a visual spectacle as a family celebration. Allu Sirish And Nayanika’s Love Story For Sirish, the day also marked a beautiful full circle. He first met Nayanika two years ago during Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi’s wedding celebrations. “That night was the first time Nayanika and I truly met. And now, two years later, we’re happily in love and engaged,” Sirish recalled on social media. The story, and the style, came together seamlessly. Allu Sirish’s engagement look wasn’t just about what he wore, but what it represented: the elegance of heritage meeting the confidence of the modern man.
