‘Wash Your Chappal At Least On Sunday’: Mother’s Hilarious Response To Daughter’s ‘Cat Picture’ Wins Internet

Indian mothers really do think and react the same- or that's what most of the internet commented on, after a woman shared a hilarious WhatsApp conversation that she allegedly had with her mother. Taking to social media, the woman excitedly shared a picture of her new kitten with her mother. The image showed the adorable furry meekly sitting near the woman’s feet. However, what the mother seemingly chose to see first was the daughter’s slippers and how dirty they were. Reacting to the image, the mother responded with a suggestion– asking the daughter to wash her slippers at least on Sundays. “Wash your chappal at least on Sunday with soap,” the text read. The daughter then reminded the mother to ‘concentrate on the Billi (Cat)’, only for the mother to state how the dirt might infect the little one– ‘Billi ko infection ho jayega (The cat will get infected)’. The post went viral in an instant, with most netizens joking about how all mothers react pretty much the same way. Many also loved the kitten and called it cute, while some jokingly agreed with the mother and her advice. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “Say Hi to Baby,” a user said. “Me posting a normal photo with this cutie,” the video read. The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Anusna’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 1K views from people. Internet’s reactions: ALSO READ: ‘Sold 950 Plates, Earned 1 Lakh Per Day’: Is Selling Momo What You Need To Switch To? Also, cute cat,” added another person. “This is such a cute yet hilarious clip. The cat is the cutest and the mother’s response is relatable. Indian parents are such a mood. You will try to show them something, but they will decide to see something else," added another person. American West eyes monster copper corridor at Storm.

American West Metals has taken another major leap forward at its Storm copper project on Somerset Island in Nunavut, Canada after defining a monster 4.1km-long geochemical copper anomaly that mirrors the structural trend of its known Storm deposits. The newly coined Chevron prospect, identified through regional soil chemistry, spans up to 700 metres in width and is positioned within the same prospective Allen Bay Formation that hosts American West’s growing portfolio of copper deposits at Storm. Company geologists say Chevron ticks every box expected of a large, sediment-hosted copper system. The geometry is strongly suggestive of a structurally controlled corridor, potentially linked to deep-seated graben faults that act as fluid pathways in major copper districts. Crucially, it is completely untested, immediately elevating its ranking as one of the most significant exploration opportunities American West has identified since acquiring the project. The Storm project covers more than 2,200 square kilometres across the uninhabited Somerset Island in the Canadian Arctic. Despite the remoteness, the site boasts an airstrip, a 50-person camp and direct access to established shipping routes, making it one of the few large-scale Arctic copper prospects with genuine near-term development capability. The new Chevron anomaly sits within a broader regional pipeline of prospects that have been steadily delivering strong geological signals. At the Squall target, assays just received confirm additional zones of high-grade copper sulphides, in a geological setting similar to the Corona deposit 1.3km to the east. Results include 4.5m at 1.4% copper and 2.6g/t silver from 158.5m, with a higher-grade internal interval of 1.5m at 3.6% copper and 5g/t silver. Further west, sulphides have also been intersected in the Tornado area, expanding the prospective footprint along the Midway–Storm–Tornado structural corridor. The ongoing drilling continues to validate the idea that Storm is not a single deposit, but part of an emerging district-scale copper system with stacked horizons at shallow and moderate depths. Only weeks ago, American West revealed some spectacular drill numbers from the Cyclone copper deposit, including grades reaching 27.3% copper and 80g/t silver, further demonstrating the project’s ongoing capacity to deliver standout intercepts. With new soil data, drilling success and multiple geophysical anomalies aligning, the company now has a constantly growing portfolio of near-surface and deeper targets. Management says the Chevron anomaly could materially expand Storm’s current 17.5-million-tonne JORC resource of 1.2% copper and 3.4g/t silver, particularly as follow-up programs are already being planned. The discovery of a second large-scale structural corridor of equal magnitude to Storm itself is a rare development in sediment-hosted copper belts, and American West believes several more targets of interest now warrant testing. Dave O’Neil, Managing Director of American West said: “The Chevron area has no prior exploration, including geophysics, and therefore ranks as an outstanding new copper target, highlighting the potential for further large discoveries within the project area.” Adding further momentum, results from the recent airborne mobile magnetotellurics survey have lit up a 16km conductive feature beginning just 200m below surface north of Cyclone. Another large, sheet-like conductor at 400m depth could correlate with copper horizons already hit in earlier diamond drilling. Two additional cross-cutting conductive bodies in the Midway and Tornado/Blizzard zones reinforce the potential for multiple stacked systems across the trend. Taken together, the combination of shallow high-grade hits, untested multi-kilometre anomalies, deep conductive bodies and multiple surface expressions of copper sulphides gives American West one of the most compelling exploration pipelines in the global junior copper sector. With copper now firmly on the US Critical minerals list and demand surging on the back of electrification, projects offering both shallow mining optionality and district-scale upside are now at a premium…….and it would seem that American West has just that.

India Signs First-Ever LPG Import Deal With US: Hardeep Puri

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri announced on Monday that public sector oil companies have signed their first-ever one-year agreement to import liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the United States. The move marks a major step in bolstering the country’s long-term energy security and diversifying its supply sources. The minister announced the development in a social media post, describing it as a “historic first” for India’s LPG sector. He wrote in his post, "A historic first! One of the largest and the world's fastest-growing LPG market opens up to the United States. In our endeavour to provide secure, affordable supplies of LPG to the people of India, we have been diversifying our LPG sourcing. In a significant development, Indian PSU oil companies have successfully concluded a 1-year deal for imports of around 2.2 MTPA LPG." According to Puri, the agreement covers 2.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) for the 2026 contract year. This accounts for nearly 10 per cent of India’s annual LPG imports, marking a notable shift as these supplies will be sourced from the US Gulf Coast. He noted that this is the first structured long-term contract for American LPG destined for the Indian market. Pricing Benchmarks And Industry Engagement The minister explained that the deal has been priced against the Mount Belvieu benchmark, a widely recognised global reference point for LPG. He also revealed that teams from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) had engaged with leading US producers in recent months to finalise the agreement. These engagements underline India’s push to diversify energy sources at a time when global supply chains remain susceptible to geopolitical and market fluctuations. Affordable LPG Beyond diversification, Puri spotlighted the government’s continued focus on shielding Indian households from rising international fuel prices. He noted that despite global LPG rates jumping over 60 per cent, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensured that Ujjwala beneficiaries paid only Rs 500–550 per cylinder, while the actual price exceeded Rs 1,100. This required the Government of India to absorb more than Rs 40,000 crore in subsidies.

Frenzy Over Overseas Leveraged ETFs Sparks New Rules for Koreans

South Korean retail investors’ voracious appetite for leveraged exchange-traded funds listed overseas has prompted the nation’s regulators to tighten rules for buyers of these high-risk products.Come Dec. 15, local investors will have to complete an hour-long mandatory online training before investing in leveraged or inverse exchange-traded products listed in foreign markets, the Financial Supervisory Service said in a statement on Sunday. Those seeking to buy derivatives products abroad will have to go through a mock-trading program lasting at least three hours, in addition to the online course. The moves will bring regulations for investing in these products abroad in line with those for locally listed ones.Known for their penchant for risk-taking, individual Korean investors have been piling into leveraged ETFs, particularly US-listed products that offer exposure to high-flying tech stocks. While the explosive growth of leveraged ETFs has been a global phenomenon, few countries match the frenzy seen in Korea, where investing overseas is seen as a quick and easy way to create wealth. The FSS’s move comes as retail investors’ direct investment in US stocks and ETFs has hit records this year. They added $6.9 billion in October alone, an all-time monthly high in depository data going back to 2011.“The new policy will help individual investors acknowledge some of the most basic aspects of investing in those leveraged products such as their compounding effects and strategies,” said Bora Kim, head of AC strategy at Leverage Shares Plc. “It will address what Korean investors have been ignoring and could have some impact on risk-neutral retail investors that have not fully understood their risks. But the overall appetite is not expected to change.”The stricter rules confirm Bloomberg’s report in March on policy considerations to curb risky overseas investments.Leveraged ETFs amplify the returns and the losses investors can get by directly buying stocks. An inverse ETF is one that rises when the underlying index or security drops, and vice versa.©2025 Bloomberg L.P.This article was generated from an automated news agency feed without modifications to text.

IIT graduate pays ₹1 lakh a month to full-time home manager, says it saves ‘a lot of time'

Aman Goel, founder of GreyLabs, has created quite a buzz on X after revealing that he pays ₹1 lakh per month to his home manager, who handles everything from household chores to groceries and other daily tasks. Explaining the rationale behind the decision, he said that both he and his wife are working, and hiring a home manager has saved them a "lot of headache and time."In his social media post, he elaborated that the person hired as a full-time home manager is responsible for food planning, managing wardrobes, overseeing repairs and maintenance, handling groceries and laundry, and coordinating with other service providers, as his wife Harshita Tak is also a working professional.Aman Goel, an IIT Bombay graduate, and his wife, an IIT Kanpur alumna, live with Goel’s parents while working to build and grow GreyLabs. With their schedules tightly packed, the couple decided to delegate household responsibilities to a trained home manager who now supervises everything from meal planning and grocery runs to repairs and maintenance.“I actually hired a Home Manager who is a full-time person who takes care of everything from food planning, wardrobes, repairs, maintenance, Groceries, laundry, etc. Basically, she manages all the house help and service providers and frees up our time,” Goel said.“We needed this because Harshita and I are both working professionals and don't have time for this. We want our full energy to be focused on building GreyLabs,” he explained.Goel pointed out that a home manager’s salary is significantly higher than that of a typical domestic worker. In his post on X, he shared that his home manager earns ₹1 lakh per month, or ₹12 lakh annually, and is a trained professional who previously served as the Operations Head of a hotel chain.“he person working with us is an educated one and has served as Operations Head at a hotel chain. We pay them Rs. 1 lakhs a month. Expensive? Probably yes. But we value our time and can afford to pay, hence paying,” he revealed. The GreyLabs CEO added that because both he and his wife are busy with work, they did not want to burden his elderly parents with household management.“It's a task to manage the house - cooking, cleaning, groceries, maintenance, repair, etc. We felt that we can delegate this work,” he said. How social media users reacted:His revelation triggered some mockery online, with critics accusing him of “burning investors’ cash.” Goel dismissed the allegations, clarifying that he pays the home manager from his personal account.“It's my personal money which I earned by selling my previous venture for millions of dollars,” he said. Some users criticised him for prioritising work, with one writing: “Don't be this man. Your life is way more important than any company you built or the amount of money you make. Live life.”However, many others defended him. X user Srijan R Shetty commented: “He is someone who has hired a Home Manager - by paying a more than market average pay - so that he and his wife can focus on their careers, and their parents get good care (the parents stay with them). It's funny how, you can be an upstanding husband, son, employer and yet be schooled by anons for no good reason.”

I kept my potatoes fresh and sprout-free for 3 months with 1 genius food storage hack

We're big fans of spuds in our household. Whether it's jacket potatoes with baked beans , potatoes mashed to creamy perfection , or the unbeatable roast potato , we can't get enough. We usually have a couple sitting on the kitchen counter, but if they're not used immediately, they're stored in the pantry. Despite the pantry being their ideal home, I've noticed that my potatoes start to sprout after just a few days. Rather than letting them reach this stage and end up on our compost heap, I decided to see if I could freeze them. Potatoes can survive up to a year in the freezer, but according to the experts at Love Food Hate Waste, they're best consumed within three months. However, I couldn't just lob the starchy veg directly into the freezer; there were a few steps I had to follow first. The initial step is to partially cook them. It's recommended to only freeze cooked or partially cooked potatoes, as raw ones contain a lot of water. This water freezes and, when defrosted, turns the potatoes mushy and grainy. To freeze them, I began by peeling the potatoes. This isn't necessary, but it's useful as blanching is more effective without the skin. I then plunged the potatoes into a pot of cold water and put them on the hob on high heat until they boiled. As I was dealing with medium-sized potatoes, I let them cook for 10 minutes. Afterwards, I moved the potatoes to a colander for draining before laying them out on kitchen paper towels to soak up any excess moisture. They were then sliced into thick rounds. I placed the potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray and popped them into the freezer for four hours. Post the four-hour mark, the potatoes were frozen and ready to be shifted into a freezer-safe storage bag. A month post-freezing, I took out half of the spuds to thaw in the fridge overnight, then finished off their cooking in boiling water until they were cooked through. The taste was just as if I'd stored them in the pantry. Three months later, I cooked the remaining half of the potatoes, and they still tasted fresh. Freezing potatoes not only retains their freshness but also saves you time when it comes to prepping them for cooking.

November 17, 2025 - 3:47PM Share via Email Share on Facebook Share on Whatsapp Listen to this article Copied URL to clipboard codesports.com.au Huge changes being explored for NRL NRL: Reports are claiming the ARLC are exploring huge changes for an expanded NRL competition, including the potential for 20 teams... Zac Lomax’s stint at Parramatta has come to a premature end, with the Eels winger granted an immediate release to “pursue opportunities outside the NRL” — again posing questions around loopholes as the game threatens decade-long bans. The Eels confirmed Lomax’s release in a statement on Sunday afternoon, wishing the NSW Blues representative the best for the future. Watch The Ashes 2025/26 LIVE and ad-break free during play with FOX CRICKET on Kayo Sports | New to Kayo? Join now and get your first month for just $1. Lomax had been linked with a move to the rebel rugby comp R360, and his exit from the Eels will only add to that speculation. The NRL have threatened players who break their contract to join R360 with 10-year bans. Former Storm star Ryan Papenhuyzen and now Lomax are two players who have been granted early releases in recent weeks with both expected to link up with the rebel rugby union competition. Given the duo were released from their contracts before any R360 deal has been announced, former prop forward Aaron Woods has questioned whether Lomax and Papenhuyzen have found a loophole around a potential 10-year NRL ban. Lomax could be facing a 10-year ban from the NRL if he links up with R360. “Does he cop the 10-year suspension? It’s very similar to Papenhuyzen though because Paps got the release. Now they don’t have a contract with the NRL,” Woods said on Triple M. “It was under the information that they were only going to get a 10-year ban if they were still contracted.” According to Code Sports, the terms of the release dictate that Lomax will be unable to play for another NRL club until 2029 unless the Eels give him permission to do so. Of course, if he ends up joining R360 that won’t matter anyway given the NRL has threatened to ban any defecting players for 10 years. In another stunning reveal, Code Sports reported Lomax sought out Roger Tuivasa-Sheck after a Warriors-Eels clash in Round 26 regarding a potential code switch. Tuivasa-Sheck has been heavily linked to a switch to R360. While Lomax signalled to the Eels a potential desire to head to R360 several months ago, the club reportedly caught wind of Lomax’s chat with the veteran outside back. Zac Lomax reportedly approached Warriors star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck following this Round 26 between Parramatta and New Zealand. While a big blow to Parramatta’s chances of pushing for a top-eight berth in 2026, Lomax’s release frees up nearly $650,000 while the 26-year-old is expected to earn at least double that should he link up with R360. The Australian has reported that R360 is offering NRL and Australian rugby union players tax free deals worth more than US$1million (A$1.5 million) per season. The Eels have already landed gun playmaker Jonah Pezet for next year and could continue to look to the open market for another marquee player, especially given Pezet will be departing the club in 2027 for the Brisbane Broncos. News Corp are reporting Nelson Asofa-Solomona could be one man to land in Parramatta, while out-of-favour forward Ryan Matterson remains contracted for the 2026 season. He was allowed to leave on loan last season, and it remains to be seen if he will remain at the club for next year. Lomax lasted just one season in Parramatta after signing a four-year deal with the club, having left the Dragons at the end of 2024 while forgoing the final two years of his $800,000 deal at the Red V in the process. R360 officials also reportedly have a desire for players they have signed to officially announce their moves in the coming weeks. Copied URL to clipboard codesports.com.au Storm unsure if Katoa will play again NRL: Melbourne chief executive Justin Rodski says the injury to Eliesa Katoa has shaken the club,... Lomax said in November last year that leaving the Dragons was “the best decision” he “could have made”. “I needed a different way in my footy career, and I feel for me it was the best decision I could have made. I’m super looking forward to it,” Lomax said at the time. “I just wanted to get out of my comfort zone. I’d been there for a long time, but ultimately I wanted to win. “I don’t feel where that team (Eels) finished this year is how they’re going to go next year. I feel that with the team and the club at Parra, we’re going to have a really successful year.” That didn’t end up happening, with an injury-interrupted season for halfback Mitchell Moses spoiling any chance the Eels had of qualifying for the finals but Parramatta finished strong and seemed to be building towards a promising 2026 campaign. More Coverage Aussie gold medallist dies suddenly at 28 Matthew Sullivan 150-year first as little-known Aussie named Ben Talintyre Lomax, however, won’t be around for it. The news of Lomax’s immediate exit comes after Parramatta locked in Josh Addo-Carr, the club’s other starting winger, on a one-year extension which will keep him in blue and gold until the end of 2027. As for who could take Lomax’s vacant spot on the other wing, Bailey Simonsson — who had been on the outer last season after Lomax’s arrival — looks the likely candidate to step in. Jalen Hurts' TD propels Eagles past Lions in defensive struggle

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jalen Hurts scored the only touchdown in an otherwise feeble effort from the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense, and it was enough to lead them to a 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions, who failed on every fourth-down try Sunday night. The Eagles (8-2) are the only team in the NFC East with more than three wins and the second one in the conference to eight victories, putting them in contention to take the top seed and earn home-field advantage as the Super Bowl champions go for a repeat. Hurts threw for only 135 yards, reigning Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley ran for 83 and former 1,000-yard receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for nine catches for 57 yards. Yet those struggles didn’t matter much against a Detroit team that seemed happy to try and give the game away. The Lions, who entered averaging 31.4 points per game, failed to convert on five fourth-down attempts and were 3 of 13 on third down. Lions coach Dan Campbell replaced offensive coordinator John Morton as the play-caller last week. Campbell wasn’t ready to say it was a permanent move, although he called plays again against the Eagles. Campbell wasn’t much of an improvement. The Lions’ notable failure came late in the third quarter while trailing 13-6 after Jared Goff connected with Jahmyr Gibbs for a 42-yard gain that took the ball to the Eagles 22. The Lions went on to get a first-and-goal at the 8, but they turned the ball over on downs. The Eagles at least took advantage of their best scoring chance inside the 10. Barkley had a 5-yard TD run in the second quarter overturned by a replay review, a momentary setback once Hurts scored from 1 yard out — yes, on a tush push — with 16 seconds left to send the Eagles into halftime with a 13-6 lead. Jake Elliott kicked field goals of 27 and 34 yards in the half. He made a 49-yarder in the fourth for a 16-6 lead. Goff — who went 14 of 37 for 255 yards —- hit Jameson Williams for a 40-yard score that tied the game at 6-all late in the second quarter. Williams celebrated by jumping onto the goal post padding and bear-hugging the upright, which earned him a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. On a blustery night in Philly, those lost yards cost the Lions when Jake Bates was wide right on the 48-yard extra point. Bates did kick a 54-yard field goal with 1:58 left. What can Brown do for you? Hurts tried to force the ball to an unhappy Brown early after yet another week of complaints from the wide receiver about his role in the offense. Brown’s production has severely declined this season -- he was targeted just three times last week at Green Bay -- and he took to social media afterward to express his displeasure, saying on Twitch that fantasy owners should drop him from their teams. Brown — who appeared to give up on at least one route in the third quarter — finished with seven catches for 49 yards against the Lions. DeJean gets his first interception Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean had his first career regular-season interception when he picked off Goff’s pass in the first quarter that led to a field goal. The second-year standout, of course, is mostly remembered from an interception in last season’s Super Bowl. DeJean became the first player in Super Bowl history to intercept a pass or score a touchdown on his birthday when he returned a poor throw by Patrick Mahomes 38 yards for a TD. Lions: All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph missed his fourth straight game with a knee injury. Eagles: OL Lane Johnson was ruled out at halftime with a foot injury. Johnson left last week’s win against Green Bay with an ankle injury in the second quarter but returned in the fourth. Lions: Host the New York Giants next Sunday. Eagles: At Dallas next Sunday.
