The program begins with an orientation to learn about our purpose, business and strategic priorities – all while gaining insights into the day-to-day life of an Analyst at BlackRock.Following orientation, Analysts join their teams and stay connected with colleagues across the globe through ongoing training and professional development. This program offers Analysts the chance to have a lasting impact on the firm and contribute to our greater collective purpose of helping more and more people experience financial well-being.About Aladdin Wealth TechAladdin® is an operating system for investment managers that seeks to connect the information, people, and technology needed to manage money in real time. The Aladdin platform combines risk analytics with portfolio management, trading, compliance, and investment operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making, effective risk management, efficient trading, and operational scale. Aladdin is used by a community of over 200 institutional clients around the world, including BlackRock. There are over 100,000 end users of Aladdin globally. The team is comprised of 1500+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community maximizes Aladdin products through engagement and education.The Aladdin Wealth Technology team partners with Wealth Management clients to help them lead all aspects of their enterprise risk, build better portfolios, and improve their value proposition to clients. This is achieved by using risk analytics - powered by Aladdin® - to equip Wealth Management clients with model construction capabilities, risk monitoring tools, and portfolio construction & analytics.As an Analyst, you willDevelop a strong understanding of the Wealth Management industry, financial analytics and technologyContribute to the build-out of product capabilities, functioning as the internal representative for clients by driving alignment between the Aladdin Wealth offering and client needsWork with product managers, engineers, and researchers to help craft the product offering and support the development of core Aladdin models and risk systemsBuild and deliver technical analyses to help clients better understand components of Aladdin and how our offering can be applied their business problemsHelp lead conversations with clients to understand their business problems, then design and deliver solutionsParticipate in client implementations and ongoing client engagements, constructing and configuring the processes that generate Aladdin analytics for our clientsEngage clients on how best to integrate with the Aladdin platform during implementations, providing technical consulting on client data requirements and how to use our APIs and data extracts to source the analytics that Aladdin producesParticipate in prospective client pitches and be the best representative for the Aladdin Wealth platformWhat capabilities are we looking for?The desire to have a deep understanding of analytics and our clients, applying technology to solve real business needsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated concepts simply and clearly to clientsThe ability to face off to external clients with good coordination skills, balancing multiple priorities simultaneouslyThe ability to thrive under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment, as well as set and meet tight deadlinesStrong fundamental understanding of technology and financial analyticsSome experience in software engineering/development (e.g., Python, Java, R, SQL, Unix), is a plus, however a desire to learn and improve technical abilities is a mustJapanese language proficiency is a requirementApplication InstructionsIf this is something of your interest, apply now!
