You’ll have real-world responsibilities during the summer, in addition to participating in professional development, networking and social events.The Summer Internship Program acts as a feeder to the 2027 Full-Time Graduate Analyst Program.About BlackRock Real EstateBlackRock Real Estate manages investments across the four quadrants of the real estate market including private equity, private debt, public equity (REITS) and public debt, across all major real estate markets globally. The team manages equity real estate investments in Asia-Pacific on behalf of institutional clients, primarily in comingled closed-end value funds through the Asia Property Fund series and additionally through separately managed accounts. Our extensive experience encompasses all major property types, including office, industrial, retail and residential.As a Summer Intern, you will engage inInvestment modelling, monitoring and reporting: Preparing and maintaining accurate investment model, monitoring investment performance and providing data and information for project control and project review meetingsAsset Management: Responsible for managing day to day operations and all leasing activities to insure maximum occupancy and income; preparing and implementing annual asset plan, leasing plan, operating budgets, and distribution planSourcing and providing data for key underwriting assumptions (current markets rents, rental growth rates, vacancies and incentives, operating expenses, capital values, yields / cap rates, tax and financing terms)Deal Execution: Preparation of investment / divestment / financing proposals and investment committee memorandums; assisting in the co-ordination of Due Diligence including external service providers and internal functions within BlackRock (in particular Portfolio Management, Treasury / Financing, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Company Secretarial) to successfully close transactions.What capabilities are we looking for?Strong interest in the real estate market and its global market dynamicsExposure in in real estate, construction, investment banking, financial advisory and equity researchHighly numerate with developed quantitative capabilitiesAbility to manage workload effectively and deliver quality work on schedule in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailPersuasive written and oral communication skills as well as precise manner of expressionReliable team player with solid interpersonal skillsProven team player with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to handle confidential information with the utmost respectSelf-starter with interest in undertaking leadership responsibilities over timeAbility to work with a cross-border teamJapanese language proficiency is a requirementApplication InstructionsIf this is something of your interest, apply now!
