CIEE（Council on International Educational Exchange）東京センターでは、 国際教育プログラムの学術運営をリードし、学生の学びを支える アカデミック・ディレクター を募集しています。本ポジションは、日本に来日するアメリカからの留学生に対し、質の高い学びと健全な教育環境を提供するため、 教員管理、学術企画、学生支援、学術品質保証 を統括する重要な役割です。【主な職務内容】教員（講師）の採用・評価・研修・マネジメントCIEE科目・ワークショップ・文化授業などの指導・ファシリテーション学術オリエンテーションや学術イベントの企画・運営履修登録、成績管理、学術記録の管理（Canvas LMS 含む）教員との連携、シラバス・成績等の提出管理、学術ポリシー遵守の確認学術活動、サービスラーニング、フィールドワークの企画・引率学生のアカデミックアドバイス、学習支援、ウェルビーイング対応新規学術プログラムの立案・開発（センター長・オペレーション部門と協働）センター全体の学術品質向上のためのスタッフ協働必要に応じたオンコール対応、外部機関との連絡、センター長不在時の代行【応募資格】関連分野の博士号（PhD）高等教育や国際教育分野での5年以上の実務経験米国大学生との教育業務経験があれば尚可日本語・英語ともにビジネスレベル以上の運用能力日本文化・歴史・教育制度の理解異文化コミュニケーション能力、多様性への理解日本国内での就労資格自律的に働けること、かつチームワークを重視できること【CIEEで働く魅力】国際教育の最前線で働ける多文化環境で学生成長に貢献できる世界的ネットワークを持つ組織でキャリアを発展できるCIEE Tokyo Center is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Academic Director to lead and enhance the academic integrity and learning experience of our study abroad programs in Japan. As a core member of the leadership team, the Academic Director supports all academic operations, collaborates closely with instructors and staff, and ensures high-quality educational outcomes for students from U.S. and global institutions.This role is ideal for professionals passionate about international education, academic leadership, and fostering cross-cultural learning.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee academic operations and support the Center Director in all academic affairsRecruit, train, evaluate, and supervise instructorsTeach or facilitate CIEE cultural courses, discussions, and workshopsLead academic orientations and provide ongoing academic support to studentsManage course administration, registration, grading, and academic recordsLiaise with instructors to ensure syllabi, grades, and course materials meet CIEE requirementsMonitor and maintain course quality through the Canvas LMSPlan and lead academic activities, service-learning programs, field trips, and site visitsProvide administrative and on-site support to instructors and program coordinatorsAdvise students on academic issues and support student well-beingCollaborate with senior staff to improve program quality and develop new academic componentsAssist in general center administration and serve as emergency on-call contact when assignedQualificationsPhD in a relevant academic field5+ years of experience in higher education or international education programmingExperience working with U.S. college students preferredFluency in English and JapaneseStrong intercultural communication skills and commitment to diversityKnowledge of Japanese culture, society, and academic environmentsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural teamAuthorization to work in JapanWhy Join CIEE Tokyo?Contribute to a globally respected international education organization with 75+ years of historyWork in a dynamic, multicultural environment on Sophia University’s campusMake a meaningful impact on students’ academic and intercultural learningCollaborate with a passionate team dedicated to high-quality global programs
