Church Schools provide students with an opportunity to obtain knowledge and skills that will assist them in their future educational and career endeavours.The Pacific Area Seminaries and Institutes of Religion is seeking a dynamic, passionate Music Teacher based at Saineha High School, Tonga. ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibility of this role is to deliver high quality theoretical and practical instruction to students. The successful applicant will assess student learning and evaluate performance using established criteria and maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress in school databases. He or she will also participate in or lead in extracurricular and after-school programs as needed.QualificationsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Temple-worthy and committed to upholding Church values and standardsA bachelor’s degree or a teaching certificateStrong understanding of Music principles and curriculum Minimum of 2 years teaching experience Proven ability to motivate students and enhance learning outcomeSkilled in implementing assessment strategies to support student growthFamiliarity with Response to Intervention (RTI) practices High level English language proficiency (verbal and written)Basic to intermediate computer literacyPolice clearance is requiredNote: Only those with current legal authorization to work in Tonga may apply for this position.
