APRA AMCOS is a member-owned music rights management organisation, positioned at the intersection of music, data and technology. We have more than 124,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members’ music, and we distribute the royalties to our members. We are looking for a driven, self-starting professional with a proactive mindset to join our Finance team. In this newly established role, you will be a key member of the core team, serving as the Accountant and reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, with responsibility for providing accurate financial records to support the organisation’s reporting, governance, and compliance obligations. We are looking for candidates who have completed or working towards their CA/CPA qualification. The role is based in our Ultimo office, which is on Gadigal land.    As an Accountant, your responsibilities will include:Assist and deliver on accurate and fully reconciled general ledgers Month end journals, tasks and reconciliations Monthly analysis and preparation of the FBT, BAS and Income tax returns Assist with external audit requirements  To thrive in this role, you'll need:Strong high-volume general ledger environments and reconciliations experience BAS, FBT, income tax experience Indirect tax knowledge across ANZ Strong stakeholder engagement  What You'll Love:Our friendly and collaborative work environment.
