VNACJ Community Health Center is hiring in Monmouth County NJ!Accountant & Fiscal Analyst Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling and critical prenatal care.Position Summary: The Accountant & Fiscal Analyst is responsible for assisting with the performance of key functions within the Finance Office of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC). This includes but is not limited to support in the functions of Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (Billing), and Financial Reporting. The Accountant & Fiscal Analyst will be a key contributor in VNACJ CHC’s monthly financial close, responsible for managing several schedules to close the books on a monthly basis. The role will involve several financial and operational analysis projects, to support the fiscal and operational initiatives of the company.Principal Responsibilities: Participates in each monthly close, managing and completing key schedules throughout the month to close the books in a timely manner. Supports the Controller/CFO in the preparation of the annual budget, audit, and other key financial reports. Prepares monthly financial reports and financial schedules at the direction of the Controller/CFO, analyzing the deliverables and raising key findings with leadership in a timely manner. Manages the accounts payable function, including reviewing, processing, and paying VNACJ CHC’s vendors. Records daily cash transactions and reconciles bank accounts. Records financial transactions in the general ledger and maintains said ledger and related items. Manages select Finance Department consultant relationships, designed to support the Accountant & Fiscal analyst in the performance of their role, as well as support the department at-large. Supports in other administrative functions and ad hoc projects of the Finance Department, as needed. Supports the Billing Department and Revenue Cycle Management function with analysis of patient encounters, collections, and other projects impacting the company’s fiscal health. Supports the organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of the job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workersJob Competencies & Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 1-3 years of prior experience in an accounting/finance role a plus. Computer proficiency, data analysis skills, MS office required, including advanced Excel Strong financial analysis and data analytics skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Working Conditions/Physical Demand:Business Office environment with phone and computer use.
